My doctor prescribed me a finger prick (True Metrix Air). I specifically asked for a CGM, but he refused with my A1C at 5.7. I decided to buy an OTC CGM, Abbott Lingo, because I really wanted to see the beginning and end of my spikes. I have been using them both, but the Lingo is showing higher highs and not always close to the prick. The graph above was recorded on my Lingo after a piece of banana bread and coffee with cream / sugar (experimenting). The lingo reached 175, but the highest my finger prick recorded was 150 at 45 mins. The prick also lowered to 130 10 mins after the 150 reading. During my lingo spike, it was showing my glucose at 188. Later, it reduced the spike to 175 like the 188 never happened.
Has anyone had experience with the Lingo overestimating glucose spikes?
Has anyone noticed that the numbers often change on the Lingo after the spike declines?
I am curious if the more expensive prescription versions are more accurate…

Hello,
Quick background. Untraditional student. 25 year old Junior. Finance majoAccounting minor so I am applicable for Accounting Masters to get CPA (fills all pre-reqs). Took a leave of absence to build a marketing company, wanted to go back but covid got in the way, started back at 22, and may go to law school in 2-3 years after graduation BUT...
I was kind of dead set on doing my marketing business and then going to law school, now it's kind of up the air.
I have a meeting Tuesday about co-ops with my schools co-op board but I'm kind of realizing I may not get any "real world experience" before graduation... I could easily stretch out my classes to graduate in Fall 2026 so I have an extra summer to intern somewhere but I don't know if that's feasible.
I know a handful of people who are on the same track as me (accounting minors) who got internships at Accounting firms as auditors or what have you since our accounting minor is 2 classes short of accounting major..
What do I do? Go do a masters?

I’m wondering if I should filter it and get rid of the fruit in the hope that will help clear it up; then back sweeten. Thank you :) January 3rd Recipe - 250g frozen berries - 1360g honey - 3300ml water - Yeast 1tsp nutrient 1/4tsp - gravity 1.090 January 4: 1/4tsp nutrient January 5: I got suspicious and checked the yeast and it turns out it was dead. I added some fresh one (Mangrove Jacks). From here fermentation picked up, was very quiet but I could see bubbles and smell.
