I’m interested if this has worked for people. You hear some stories but are never sure how they got them. Like was it this or that extra curricular, or your volunteering etc? Was it a particular uni that gives our out small scholarships for merits etc
While all stories are of interest, because I’m not eligible for female or MAPAS or low income or LGBT, I would be particularly interested in how/if others also not eligible for these have managed it.
Also interested in halls and I assume people didn’t have too much trouble there with merit endorsed?

I hope the name is correct. But recently I came across a slightly used but almost brand new Lenovo yoga 7i The money I originally wanted to spend on a project is looking quite ready to spend right now on the yoga 7i
It has an i5 11th gen And 16 gigs of ram and a 512gb m.2
Is it worth the purchase? It's costing me about 370usd when converted from my currency. Or somewhere in the ball park.

2025.01.19 19:52 toaster404 On a TL speaker system with offset driver, should/must the closed end be about the same cross section as the beginning of the open end?
Pipe system, driven by HiVi B3N mounted in 3" T fitting. My understanding is that a 2" line would be superior to a 3" line. Is that true? If so, would there be any potential issue with the shorter closed end being 3" pipe stuffed and the open end being 2" pipe, with some additional minor narrowing at the open end? I can make the closed end 2" as well, but then have the issue of falling over. The speaker, not me. I don't need assistance in falling over myself, perfectly capable of that!
This is Sewer 2. Sewer 1 is a half wave with both ends open, no taper, and some stuffing around the T fitting. It actually sounds rather impressive, but reaches from floor to ceiling!

2025.01.19 19:52 domwrap Backup / emergency AP board for current firmware
Anybody else considered this route? As a last-resort backup, if I do somehow screw up and install a newer firmware that you can't downgrade, has anyone considered keeping a spare AP board in stock with the current firmware that you could swap out in an emergency? I would assume once the P1 gets this update all shipped spare boards will come with that firmware so given its only $50 (CAD) I'm gonna pick one up now before the new firmware and keep it in stock.
I know wiki and support says you have to register the new board with your printer SN but I assume that's for remote/Handy access so if it's staying local that wouldn't matter and it would still function out of the box without this registration?

I'm not being alarmist, but I don't particularly like the route Bambu is going. Mostly because I use Home Assistant a LOT. Switching to local only and using HA with some other homelab stuff means I can keep most of the Handy functions while losing that specific app.
