2025.01.19 19:51 Wolfsonicvtuber My lips been flackey and swollen
Hey everyone, so I (24F) had this for a few years. This started around when we were still wearing masks and i have a history of lip biting. I've been to two normal doctors and and two dermatologists and I still have no answer. My last dermatologist did biopsies (which just came back with remnants of infections or remnants of a benign cyst) and allergy tests, and while I stayed away from my allergies it never went away. On my last visit, all my dermatologist told me was to keep using olive oil and that's it. The only thing that has helped is using antibiotics on my lip and orally, but everytime I'd finish the perscribed perscription, it comes right back. I'm desprete here and I need help.

I am planning on making an offer on my first real estate property. I have been saving money for years, living frugal etc etc. My parents have some savings and want to help me out - they will be giving me USD 100k+ for half the downpayment (I have the other half) + we have all the documents proving source of funds.
My mom lives between Canada and Bangladesh. When I went to BMO with her when she was here in Canada- the advisor said that if I have power of attorney, even if she is back in Bangladesh I can transfer the money to my account when the time comes for the downpayment - she would just have to give a gift letter to the lender (not the bank) later on.
Lo and behold - I am about to make an offer on a house, so I go the the bank in order to make that transfer and denied.... wtf? Before going I emailed the advisor who helped set everything up what I had to do - he said just go to the bank with 2 pieces of ID. The supervisoteller told me my mom has to be here in person even though I have power of attorney. Do they just expect her to spend $3000 on round trip tickets and go on a 20+ hour flight to go into the branch and say "yes I want to transfer this money" when the advisor had told us the POA would prevent exactly this type of thing?
The tellesupervisor flagged my account as well - I saw her typing lots of notes. Do they expect small transactions when trying to buy a house in this market? Of course it will be a large transfer.
Anyways - I have a meeting with the branch manager on Wednesday, I will have my mom on facetime.
Does anyone forsee this transaction not being able to be done even with my mom facetiming the branch manager? I don't know why I have to suffer because of misinformation from the advisor when singing the POA. Any tips? What can I say to the branch manager if they are illogical or refuse to budge?
The funds are also in USD - I was going to take them and convert them into CAD since the rates are good, them preventing me from the transfer is putting me at risk of losing money if the rates drop.
Im really annoyed right now.
