When I was 14, a family friend took me brother’s hand & put it on me bust. I laughed & called him a weirdo. I wasn’t like angry, just embarrassed. I was embarrassed I had breasts at the time & tried to do everything I could to hide them.
I would run away from him every time he came to ours after that. I went to me ma’s room & shut the door once thinking he wouldn’t come in but he kicked the door open. I wasn’t like scared, just felt uncomfortable. & it was odd experiencing someone who’s like focused on your body, especially someone ye grew up with. We were around the same age.
I didn’t really care about this like at all. I really didn’t like how he used me brother’s hand though. Okay, well, I did care but more like just extremely embarrassing never mention it to anyone & hope me brother forgets kind of thing. I mentioned it to him recently & he remembers it a different way. He does remember his hand being used & I won’t argue with him about that because I do like it better that way. We’re twins, btw. He’s a male, I’m a woman.
So, ehh, today something similar happened again? I think. & I do feel bothered about it. I just wasn’t feeling the best today & maybe that’s why.
I was in the laundry room, putting me clothes in the washing machine. As I got up, I feel someone hugging me from behind. Loads of people may find this ridiculous & shameful & silly but I laugh a lot. I laugh when people are screaming at me, I laugh when things are scary, I laugh when I’m angry, laugh when I’m shocked. May or may not have something to do with me being autistic but ah well.
I laughed when this person did that. It was a male. He was holding me tight to his chest & started nuzzling in me neck. & I sort of shrieked & laughed trying to get him off. & I was trying to pry his hands off. Saying please get off me & that I needed to go do something. He’s like ignoring me & his hands are on me chest, he’s stroking me nipples. Why did he do that? Someone else comes into the laundry room & he gets off of me & leaves. I don’t know him, I don’t know anyone. I’ve an anxiety disorder & do usually struggle to go to the laundry room bcz of people. I struggle to be around them.
I’m touch averse & hypersensitive (due to autism), I felt very uncomfortable. I felt like biting him but I had me mask on & felt guilty at the thought of trying to attack someone who wasn’t actively attacking me, being negative to me or hurting me.
I just feel weird & embarrassed like but like even more than I did when I was 14. & confused, very, very confused! Why did that happen? Is it bcz it was only the two of us in the room? I’m sure I looked busy, idk what it was about me that made him feel comfortable enough to do that.
I’ve never had anyone touch me like that before & I really didn’t like it. At least when I was 14, me brother immediately retracted his hand. This man had his hands on me for much longer. I feel sick ahaha.
I know some people think I should’ve hurt him & I grew up defending meself against lads, I have in the past when they assaulted me like aggressively.
I do just feel like a manky cunt & this does aggravate me. I just don’t have the energy to fully fathom that that happened. & would rather pretend it didn’t like I did when I was 14. The more I think about it the more likely I am to self harm. Thanks for reading xx

I was a driver at ASDA for a few months (still on probation) due to personal health seasons I hesitantly resigned and gave a weeks notice.
Unfortunately i was 3 days into my my notice period and hurt my back and hip while out on delivery, I phoned my manager up the next day to say I injured myself (I was limping pretty bad) and was unable to work the last few shifts. Understandably my manager wasn’t best pleased (pissed off tbh) as they said they didn’t have any cover and they didn’t know what that meant in regards to notice period policy (gave the impression of potentially being in breach of contract? IDK) and they would have to seek further advice and phone my back, they never did..
It’s been a few weeks now and i notice my store are advertising for a customer delivery driver again, thing is i regret leaving (I enjoyed the job), at the time I was thinking of retracting my notice only a few days after resigning, getting injured the next day was horrible timing and honestly looks like I took the piss and dropped them in it not showing up for the last few shifts..but I’d genuinely really hurt my back, it’s still only around 75% better a few weeks later (hoping another week or two it will be fully healed).
What are my chances of being rehired if I was to reapply to the new vacancy? I think I’ve blown any chances, I’m thinking of applying for a driver role at Tesco, however it’s a lot further away, would mean delivering to areas way further out than I’m used to, not ideal.

2025.01.19 20:40 hse97 Boss keeps shaving hours off my time sheet. Who can I contact about seeing if I have a case?

Hello. I work as an inspector for a car auction. I live in Bensonhurst, but I travel to dealerships in all 5 boroughs but the two guys on my team that were in the Bronx/Yonkers quit so my boss has been sending me to the Bronx/Yonkers/New Rochelle 2 to 3 times a week. He schedules me to arrive at 9am meaning I have to leave my apartment at around 7:30.
As per my company guidelines in regards to timekeeping (copy + pasted directly from our timekeeping page in our employee manual):
"Clock-In occurs when VCI’s leave to head directly to their first dealership."
In training they told us that we clock in when we leave our door and start driving to our first dealership. So in my case, when I'm working in the Bronx/Yonkers/etc I clock in usually at 7:30am to 7:45am.
Now here's where my issue is. It says that if we are more then 1hr away from our residence we are allowed to stay on the clock. The exact wording (again copy and pasted from our handbook):
"VCI’s clock out when they leave their last dealership. The only exception to this is if true drive time home exceeds one hour. True drive time is defined as normal driving conditions. If normal drive time home is 15 minutes but a traffic jam causes the drive to take over an hour, the VCI should not be on the clock."
It always takes me well over an hour to get home from the dealerships I travel to when I head that far north. Somtimes I can get home in 1hr15mins other times it's taken me up to 2hrs to get home.
I always stay on the clock when it takes me >1hr to drive home. However I have noticed that my boss has started edited my time sheets. Last week I logged 47.5 hours and he reduced it to 43.5 hours. Losing 4 hours of OT.
The only reason why I'm wondering if I have a case is because it does state that traffic jams are not considered 'true drive time'. But that raises the question, what is 'true drive time'? There is always traffic. Literally always. It is impossible to get from Williamsbridge in the Bronx to Bensonhurst in Brooklyn in under an hour except at the very early hours of the morning like 3/4am.
I don't want to go to HR because HR will snitch on me to my boss, and then my boss will 100% be vindictive as fuck and get me fired. I would rather talk to someone at the Department of Labor and see if I have a case. I have collected evidence of my time sheet being changed, and have filmed every time I have clocked in and clocked out in accordance to our company's policies for the past 2 weeks now. I just need to know how to contact someone and if it is worth it at all.
If anyone can help me I would appreciate it. Thank you.

I know we are only 2 seasons in with this new cast but not only were none of these women friends with each other prior to filming, I find it unbelievably strange that, aside from Raquel coming on a new cast member through her friendship with Jenna (and I don’t think “Becky” and Erin were actually friends based on how Erin treats her / acts like she’s now too cool for her), none of them have scenes with other people, have friends of, etc etc. Maybe most of these women really are that uninteresting that even their broader real life circles suck
Also contrast that with Bozoma from BH who probably didn’t really hang out with or know any of the women prior to filming but something about her confidence, her charisma, her authenticity is so much more compelling to watch and it’s believable that the women actually WOULD be friends with her or someone like her
I don’t want RHONY to go away but we need a true friend circle or at least some level of pre existing friendships (ie bronwyn / lisa) for this show to be interesting enough to survive. This cast is so tired and so focused on looking a certain way on TV (BRYNN, ERIN) that they are losing the few of us who actually stuck around to give this season a chance lol. There are enough rich, interesting, wacky, bored enough women in NYC that I refuse to believe this group is the best they could come up with
(*also I actually like Raquel and Jenna even though I don’t think they are great for HW and Jessel is pretty funny and delusional but the cast dynamic is not it)
