2025.01.19 20:32 XelationNL RTX 5090 and HAVN HS 420 VGPU
No matter the Founders Edition or a aftermarket version, unless watercooled I am concerned about the position and space of the GPU towards the motherboard.
The Founders Edition has 2 large fans directly blowing air through the heatsink out of the back of the PCB towards the motherboard.
Aftermarket versions seem to have an outlet next on the slots but it has a 4th fam on the back of the PCB blowing air out directly towards the motherboard.
At the moment I have a RTX 4090 and with the vertical GPU stand of the HAVN VGPU it’s extremely close to the motherboard. I have had trouble with the power-cord being almost between my RAM’s. But airflow wise it’s okay since it goes out the back.
What are your thoughts about it?

2025.01.19 20:32 ZerotheBlade Well that's new, beware the Flatwoods monster if you're camp has turrets!
I don't know how long it's been in the game, but as a beta player I've never seen it until now. I was about to leave my Brotherhood outpost which has laser and missile turrets to guard the path to Fort Atlas and suddenly they all turned purple. I look behind me and see a flatwoods monster and start taking it down before I realize I'm being ripped apart by my own defenses!
After it was killed one of my turrets was still firing on my BoS tower so I had to switch servers to reset but that was a refreshing change in how mobs usually attack my camp! Have any of you run into interesting or surprising moments like this?

I’ve been on 25mg of seroquel for sleep for about 2 and a half years and i’m just so utterly tired of the weight gain and fluctuations. My weight has been up and down constantly for these years and whenever I try to lose weight it’s incredibly difficult even with strenuous exercise and dieting. I’ve recently come to the conclusion that seroquel might be the root of this issue. For reference I was around 125 pounds (5’5) when I started taking it. Over this past summer I was back down to 122 pounds and it’s just mind boggling that’s all I lost because of so much exercising and dieting. The weight gain has just taken over my mind and my body doesn’t respond to anti psychotics of any form. (I was on abilify for about a year and it was horrible). I am currently on 300mg of lamictal and I love it and I just can’t keep taking seroquel for insomnia even though it knocks me out like a light. Have any of yall experienced weight loss after stopping 25mg? I know it’s a low dose but just wondering.

2025.01.19 20:32 Reasonable-Mix-3979 Flip 6 defective screen after 7 weeks. Be careful with these phones!
 | My flip 6 started freezing when texting, then a small pixelated box appeared like that in the picture. Then the phone only worked when the screen wasn't opened out fully. Eventually the screen went like it is in the picture when fully opened. The phone did work each time it was started up but only for a few seconds. If kept it at 90° it worked fine (lol). Anyway, the phone was sent for repair. I thought nothing of it other than a wait to get repaired. Now they've sent me a bill for £304 to fix the screen... this phone has been used for 7 weeks!! There were no marks, scratches or dents on the phone. I didnt think for one second Samsung would pull something like this! The repair company didnt send me any information on why or how they came to their conclusion, no pictures of what was damaged or anything. They simply said it had broke due to "impact damage". The guy that picked the phone up said he mostly collects flip phones. So between him saying that, mine being completely unusable after 7 weeks and of course now finding many others online with these issues, I believe these phones have serious issues. The one thing I will say is that the phone did make an audible sound where the crease is when opening and closing after about a month. Other than that the phone was fine. Anyway, just a warning to anyone looking to get one of these be very very careful. Now I have no phone, can't afford the repairs, and honestly feel completely ripped off as I shouldn't have to pay anything at all. Ive been using Samsung phones for years but im absolutely astounded at their handling of this. "Okay, so this happened yesterday after school, and I haven’t slept since. A few friends and I were hanging out, waiting for our tuition teacher to arrive, when one of them dared us to explore the ‘old wing’ of our school. You know, the part that’s been locked up for years because of some structural issues (or so they say).
We found this rusty door that led to a staircase covered in cobwebs. At the bottom was a small classroom with broken desks and a weird smell, like something had been rotting there. On the chalkboard, someone had written, ‘Don’t stay after dark.’ It looked old, but none of us had ever heard about anyone using this room.
Here’s where it gets freaky: one of my friends found a diary on the teacher’s desk. The last entry was dated 2003 and said, ‘It’s watching me. It’s always watching.’ We noped out of there so fast, but something about that room feels…wrong. I promise I heard footsteps behind us when we left."
Part 2: The Nightmares Begin
Title: Ever Since We Went Inside, Something’s Been Following Us
"So, after we found that creepy classroom, strange things have started happening. First, my friend Rahul said he woke up in the middle of the night to find his study table chair rocking back and forth. No one else was in his room.
Then, I started having nightmares about the abandoned room. Every night, I see the same thing: the diary on the desk, the chalkboard with new words that say, ‘Come back.’ Yesterday, I woke up with a scratch on my arm. I thought it was just my imagination until Rahul showed me a similar scratch on his neck.
But the creepiest thing? One of the other guys who went with us hasn’t been coming to school. His parents said he’s been sick, but no one’s seen him since we went into that room. I don’t know what’s happening, but I feel like we woke something up."
Part 3: The Final Warning
Title: We Tried to Go Back, and Now It Won’t Let Us Leave
"Today, we decided to go back to the classroom to figure out what’s going on. Maybe we thought we could undo whatever we did by entering that place.
When we got there, the door was already open. But the room was…different. The chalkboard now had fresh writing that said, ‘Why did you leave me?’ And the diary? It was open to a blank page, but the pen next to it started moving ON ITS OWN.
We ran, but no matter which staircase we took, we kept ending up back at that door. It was like the school didn’t want us to leave. I swear I heard a voice whisper, ‘Stay with me.’
Somehow, we finally got out after what felt like hours. But now, I can’t shake the feeling that something followed us home. The scratches are worse, and the nightmares are more vivid. I think we made a huge mistake by going into that room.

Scyrtans
An amphibious people who thrive in both the ocean and marshlands. Their communities float atop the water, crafted from aquatic plants. The Council of Waves guide this society and Circles of Kin provide structure. Tradition and craftsmanship are both used to honor water and remember their legacy of resilience and cooperation.
Thrumdier
An insectoid race originating from deep within the Quakespire Range. Despite the number of colonies within the mountains, they remain a unified culture and fiercely territorial. While much of their society is shrouded in mystery, they are hailed as experts of smithing, architecture, and invention.
Yudh - Northern Hyol & Southern Veerata
The tusked peoples of the Yudh are split between the Northernlands and Southern Savannah ever since the death of their most prominent chief generations ago. They are stronger than most and while the two cultures have long since diverged, they share a belief in the Prajñā Chakra, or Wheel of Wisdom.
Zamin-Sada - Zamin-Hara & Sada-Vari
The Zamin-Sada Empire is a subterranean society of two tribes of scaled lizardfolk. Both bear unique characteristics, but they collectively value music, delicate craftsmanship, and the Girra Adura. Houses are their central social units, a mix between familial ties and guilds with varying statures and specialties. Their history is long and storied, beginning with the blessing of their creator-god Avalzam only to fall to an ancient civil war, and now reunified under a new flag.
