Hi I am 23 years old (F) living in Delhi India. For last four years, my life has been nothing but tormenting because of pathetic self image, resentment caused by XYZ situation. I mostly experience no desire to continue with life, not that I am actively suicidal. But I find this life, like a luggage to carry. Now, I want to uplift myself, I want to re-imagine myself as someone who just loves reading and watching movies based on philosophy, religion, totems, myths, language, cultural studies, history, alchemy. I am aware about the ideas of some philosophers and writers like nietzsche, camus, milan kundera, nirmal verma, Orwell etc but have not read them end to end. Infact I have read not more than 30 books in my entire life. I need suggestion on some really good books that keeps me hooked, or suggestions on how to not let my mind wander around unresolved tormenting stories. I want to develop the art of reading, consuming things that keep me detached from the real world and provide an escape. Thanks
