Hello! I was recently diagnosed with an AVM in my frontal lobe. According to my neurologist, I am one of the lucky few who experience focal seizures because of it, and was able to catch it before any further bleeding or big problems. I am seeing a neurosurgeon this week to go over surgery and scheduling. I was just curious how long this might put me out of work for. I've seen online everything from 3 weeks to 6 months. I work in water treatment and with heavy machinery, so I have a feeling they might keep me out longer to be safe. What have been your experiences? Thank you!

US News ranks my school pretty high in their top 100 list (don't wan get doxxed) in the country. I lucked out in terms of having difficult/easy teachers in my freshman year, and you legit had teachers that handed out hundreds like candy or barely had any students with A's in their class (freshman year). It's on top of that I had some problems freshman year and wasn't really dialed in. My gpa is a 95w (honors classes) is a lot lower compared to the gpa of a lot of my friends, all of whom have 98s and even 100s freshman year (call it grade inflation idk)). APs carry a lot of weight, thing is my school sets high requirements to take APs (led by the same teachers who hand out 100s like candy) so it becomes a stupid cycle and I could only take one this year (soph year). My gpa isn't that average at my school, I'd say somewhat above average, and I know gpa isn't everything, especially since my school doesn't do class, but don't target colleges have other ways of comparing you to your peers? Am I cooked? Do they take into account competitiveness when looking at gpa? My upperclassmen friend said there's a point where GPA doesn't matter as long as it's high enough, but he also had like a 102 gpa (he got into Harvard) is this true? At the end of the day, I'll be able to take more Aps later so I might be able to sort of catch up.

The first 3 inches I depress the clutch petal have never activated the clutch but the push was consistent overall. A few days ago something clicked and now the first 3 inches I depress the petal are really easy then the clutch engages I can shift smoothly and the clutch petal slowly pops back up to the top position. Sometimes the petal stays depressed to the 3 inch (clutch not engaged) position but I can pop it back up with my foot from underneath.

Hey guys, I’m currently interested in opening another bank account, particularly to save money. I have one bank account in RBL currently but it’s a chequing account and I mostly use it to pay bills, make purchases, etc.
However, I’ve been getting more into saving lately and really wanna start separating my spending from savings. So I’d like to know what banks would you recommend for me based on my current situation?
I’ve heard mixed reviews about most banks and while I’m aware that not every bank is perfect. So far I’ve been looking into FCB and was initially scheduled for an appointment but when I asked for a reschedule, they never got back to me which is kinda lame. Someone referred me to ANSA Bank, apparently they’re relatively new. Anyone got any advise on their bank?

Wheelchair user struggling to take care of myself. Have an 8yo, who I co-parent. I can hardly even lift my arms above my head anymore and it’s just too much. I’m 42f and live alone. The only help I have is my 75yo dad and a cleaner I pay for a couple days per week. The thing is, I have a sister (in town) who refuses to be in my life since I’ve been in a wheelchair for the past 4 years. I also have plenty of other family around who simply have forgotten about me and flash pictures of my sister and them on Facebook all the time. I am barely coping, and I feel like a terrible mom because I can’t leave my house and am too exhausted to even cook for my son. My dad is showing memory problems and I’m just so scared. That’s it. It’s an impossible situation.
