2025.01.20 02:51 DanEosen 2014 Chasing The Devil - FF Plus Cursed Film - Not Too Bad
I liked the premise of a possession being like a virus jumping from person to person.
That being said I felt this movie went down too many aisles. We saw them going to the home sister killed herself in, then to a professor, then to an accountant, then to this family with a possessed daughter all the while Patrick’s home was base scene. The movie was 84 minutes long I still don’t understand nor care about the accountants connection, the plot line went nowhere.
I actually liked the part in that teen girl’s home. I wished the action seen at Patrick’s home instead happened at the girl’s home. The ending got absurd though. The demon jumping came across as more silly than scary.
The acting was average at best like most FF films I would consider them fine for community plays but that’s it.
The writing needed an editor to streamline the story and not have story go down different aisles. I will say the last few seconds annoyed me a lot. It was pictures of real killers. The point seemed to have been these folks were possessed. Sorry these folks acted on their free will yes mental illness played a role but the implication that a demon possessed them relieves the killer of responsibility. I don’t know why the writers did this, it came across as amateurish and something Catholic high school kids would come up with thinking they are clever - yes I went to a Catholic HS in 80s and recall fellow students saying this.
The movie should have just ended with passing of the film not showing pictures of real killers.

 | Its not bc of any of the posts here making me uncomfortable, only partly bc of doomscrolling. But when i make a post that hundreds of ppl see of me actually being vulnerable and talking about my problems and like one ore two people reply it hurts more than it should. It was nice at first but venting starts to help less and less. If i never come back, either i dont need to be here anymore or im gone. Either way ill be doing better than i am now. I cant thank the people that actually did try to help and the people that cared enough to talk to me enough, but i dont think i can be saved. All i can remember from the plot is this.
Everyone is human. Bella was kidnapped when she was a kid, a very long time has passed, she’s a teenager now. She’s been living on the streets with her abductor. Carlisle nearly runs her over with his car, he gives her pancakes I think. Her and Rosalie turn out to be sisters. The guy who abducted Bella killed their parents also, Rose was staying at a friends house the night it happened, she was the one to discover the bodies the next day. Carlisle and Esme have a baby that’s very young like 9 months old. They take Bella in and she becomes very attached to the baby, turns out she had a baby with her kidnapper. I think jasper might be a cop.
If anyone has any clue on what this story is can they please help me. It’s been stuck in my mind for ages now and I won’t be able to relax until I find it haha.

Hello! So just for a little bit of backstory, Me, 23F and my ex 26M had a rough break-up I guess to say, things weren't exactly the best between us and in a way I was quite a bit emotional and rather immature to some degree, which I take full responsibility for.
He ended up requesting my cousin on instagram today, which left us both feeling a tad confused as we genuinely had no idea on what he'd want other than information on me, he had gone to her numerous times in the past for information about me so we both thought that was the reason although I had made it completely clear that I did not wish to be with him anymore. My cousin ended up asking me to ask him why, it wasn't meant to be a major thing she and I were merely just curious, me especially considering I had no idea why an ex of mine would need to follow my cousin, who is 18.
I would just like to put out there that my ex is a good person, and no way shape or form had he ever tried to hurt me, I merely just could not be with him and it was genuinely due to my own reasoning, I say this because (of course) he does dislike me now and likes to refer to me as some un-kind names.
Anyway, I did end up requesting him on instagram out of curiosity, he didn't accept but he did message me, and I asked him why he had requested my cousin, it genuinely wasn't meant to be a malicious thing, however I did ask him prior to stop talking to my cousin about us because it had made her uncomfortable (when we were dating). He ended up getting mad at me and calling me a narcissist who doesn't let him heal, which did hurt my feelings a bit because it genuinely was not my intention to disrupt his healing process or make him feel as if I was coming back to be rude, I was genuinely just curious, as was my cousin. He told me it was none of my business what he "relayed" to her, and while in retrospect it isn't, she still is my cousin and it would still be confusing for him to interact with her if it wasn't about me. AITA?
