I have been trying to update to the latest alpha 5 of COSMIC DE on my Fedora 41 system. I have run:
sudo dnf upgrade
to check for new updates. I have also checked the COSMIC and KDE stores. (yes, I use multiple DEs) Anyways, I cannot seem to find any updates. Note that I am running the tagged release for stability.

So I changed Begum scenario and got many comments that wpuld make drama worse or stuff so my apologies for confusion lemme explain what I menat by begum scenario:
First forget that even one single episode of season 6 has been released....we know begum hatun as character and she is daughter of karesi bey and her brother is yusuf bey...now wheter its histprical or not...bozdag doesnt care bout history....but this scenario would make much more sense about begum.
We see her daughter of karesi and see flashback of time even before Kurlus osman season 1...where Osman bey is about 17...and we see mongols behing begum and Osman...tho both are not together....they have an encounter and Osman saves begum and gives her a horse, that he got after killing a mongol, without asking her identity but when begum asks who are you? He says I am song of ertugul ghazi Osman. Now he hears mongol voices from behing..gives begum a dagger and asks her to run.
Now we are shown another flashback...if you guys remember of Uraz bey, killed by Ismihan men but his murder was blamed on aktemur in S4 when Osman visits karesi...so actually Uraz was Begums husband and he died...so after that Begum started ruling his tribe. and then we see a scene if Begum ruling teibe and sworing tk avenege her husband..
Time passes by and we see season 6 era....where karesi and Osman are not shown enemies but allies and to improve relations...Karesi wants Osman to marry begum...but Bala and fatma opposes this idea...and stuff....and then Ilbay wjo is sjown as a jice character eversince...and after his identity is revealed...Osman marries Begum off to Ilbay.
So this story would be a better storyline for Begum..now we dont wjo she is or when did she love Osman bey. Do you guys like this plot?

2025.01.20 05:29 StrainGalaxy What unusual weapon that you've encountered during Raid, but somehow works?
While I was doing raids and few others, I've encountered this random player using this unusual weapon (more like rarely used) during raid phases, first encounter until fourth encounter no big deal as it was smooth sailing no hiccups at all, up until final phase, this person still using this weapon and thought to myself "damn this person is crazy lol", and yet it works like a charm, the Ultracite Terror just stood there didn't move or even try to fight and surely enough we beat the Terror with ease.
The gun in question was Alien Blaster, and yeah during fight saw this Cryo effect caused by Alien Blaster, so I learn something new every day and commended that player for doing so.
Not the first time I've encountered someone using unusual meta weapons as few days ago saw someone using Mini Nuke during raid and didn't think too much of it.
And ever since that moment and wondering ever since and as title suggest, what unusual weapon used that you've encountered by another player (or you) but works like charm and 'effective' during Raid?

2025.01.20 05:29 Booty_shortzzzzzzzz My campaign’s story
So I do my fair share of robbery because I am an enjoyer of shit my victim this time is Pointy hat he’s a YouTuber and quite dope and makes some awesome creatures and subclasses so I took the fighter lich as my bad guy. So I think it’s better to start my story at the beginning chronologically but not necessarily where my players started. There is a party of adventures all martial classes consisting of a barbarian fighter monk paladin and a rogue. They are all top of the line fighters in each of their own rights, they had unparalleled talent and success so eventually they got bored but the fighter remained zealous he found there was a way to become immortal and being human that is something he strived for. The fighter convinced his party to help him duel remaining masters to help him gain the life he and his friends wanted for him to no avail. Eventually each of his peers decided to retire one by one leaving the fighter to search alone. After years of the fighter searching for the solution he has an epiphany his friends are the masters he is searching for and with a combination of his sheer ability and their sedentary new life he picks them off one by one growing in brutality. Beginning with the paladin keeping the healer from rescuing the rest of them laying him to rest as the tempest lord’s chosen(paladin) and ending with the fatality of the barbarian and finally having the vision that night doing battle with himself and if he succeeds he will achieve undeath (dark link esk battle) centuries later the fighter awakens and becomes increasingly hungry being mostly passive only killing to lengthen his own life now being bored with the life of immortality he decides to have a sort of pseudo-suicide taking over the world by force taking each of the fallen soldiers into his army of the undead. An influx of refugees crowd the port of the nations capital. my players as up and comming adventures in this nation check in on the refugees to ask what they’re running from and they just know it’s a swordsman. The cleric and wizard ask the ship’s captain if he knows any more all he knows is that there is an undead swordsman and an army and them running away is only extending the inevitable not a solution by any means. My party checks in on their respective guild heads and how they wish to handle this situation. They more or less both say find out more because we don’t really know what we are fighting right now. And are sent to a different location of the mages college and see what more you can find out there they’re walking through the Forrest and as they set up for camp while the ranger is foraging for vegetables for their stew they run across a grave marked as the tempest lord’s chosen (the paladin of the fighter’s party) and they grabbed his magical orb and while they are traveling they will have a vision of how the interaction between the paladin and fighter turned out and that’s as far as I have they will continue to run across the sites of the fighter’s party grabbing their items and having visions of their fights (mechanically I will give them a character sheet and basically tell them to fight me bringing a little more combat to a more or less roleplay session) and through the visions they will discover more about the death march and how to kill the fighter.

20 years after the end of the original series, Harry's son Albus and Draco's son Scorpius are in their Second Year at Hogwarts (both are in Slytherin). After Slytherin loses a Quidditch match to Gryffindor, Angered, Albus convinces Scorpius to come with him to mess with Ron and Hermonie's kids Rose and Hugo as revenge. After Albus tries to magically ignite Hugo's hat, Rose disarms him and calls now Headmistress McGonagall, who promptly gives Albus and Scorpius a detention in the forbidden forest. On the night of the detention, Hagrid gets distracted by a talk with a centaur friend of his. Albus uses this opportunity to convince Scorpius to run off into the forest to escape the detention. Scorpius hesitantly agrees, and they sneak off. They travel for a bit, eventually leaving the Hogwarts grounds. Soon, they run into a Muggle backpacker with a rifle, who begins to threaten them. Feeling unsafe, Scorpius disarms the man with a charm. The man panics and runs away. Eventually the 2 boys return to the castle, Scorpius shaken, but Albus ever-so careless still. A few days later, McGonagall, the head of Slytherin house, and 3 officers from the Department of Magical Law enforcement come to Slytherin common room to inform Scorpius that he's been arrested because the Muggle he disarmed had recorded the incident and displayed Scorpius' use of magic to his whole town, and that a mass-obviation was necessary. Albus tries to stop it but fails to save Scorpius. Later, Scorpius is brought before the Wizardgamont and Minister for Magic Hermonie. Harry and Draco also attend the trial, with Draco furious that his son had been arrested. Harry and Draco exchange insults before Draco makes a jab at Hermonie and Ginny, causing Harry to draw his wand and push it on Draco's neck. They're eventually stopped by Auror Edward Lupin, who puts them on opposite sides of the courtroom. After a lengthy proceeding, it is left to Hermonie to make the choice on whether or not Scorpius is guilty and what his punishment shall be. Eventually, she takes a bathroom break. When she returns, however, she acts differently and strangely. She eventually sentences Scorpius to a decade in Azkaban and expellees him form Hogwarts. Draco becomes outraged, and several members of the Wizardgamont gasp in shock. Hermonie orders that the now crying Scorpius be taken away, but Lupin hesitates, allowing Draco to share a last word with his son, in which he promises that they'll reunite soon. Scorpius is then taken away. Months pass, and Albus has fallen into a deep sadness. Without his best friend, he finds life to be boring, and his regret of starting a chain of events that lead to Scorpius ending up in Azkaban has haunted him. Meanwhile, Hermonie's reputation in the ministry begins to plumet. She reintroduced dementors to Azkaban, took money from St Mungo's hospital, and sent Aurors to raid shops on Knockturn Alley, leading to several dangerous fights. During winter break, Ron began to become concerned with Hermonie, talking to Harry about she's not been the same, and that she wakes up yelling in the night on occasion. Eventually, Ron arrives home from work with George on night, only to see Hermonie attempting to us the Cruciatus curse on Hugo. Ron was forced to disarm her, and George rushed the kids to safety. Hermonie grabbed a kitchen knife a swung as Ron, who ran out of the house just as George and the kids disapperated. Hermonie was reported by her muggle neighbors to their police for DV, but when they came to check on her, she was gone. Ron, the kids and George hid out at Weasley's Wizard Wheezes for a bit, as the ministry searched for Hermoine. Around the same time, Albus returned to Hogwarts and January began. A few days in, during dinner, McGonagall announced that Hoarce Slughorn would be staying for a few months as the assistant potions' professor. Albus noted something odd about Slughorn though, he didn't walk like Harry said he did, and he was always roaming the halls at night, and drinking from a tiny flask. He monitored Slughorn like a hawk. One evening, he was out in the courtyard by the Greenhouses, when he saw a series of inconstant lumps over professor Slughorn's body, as if he was a mix of two people. Slughorn also held a large bag under his right arm, which was new, so Albus asked if he was okay. Slughorn replied with a simple brushing off of 'yes'. Just as Albus was about to pipe up another question, Professor Longbottom approached Slughorn from a few meters back. "Professor Slughorn." he asked "You seem a bit unwell. Little lumps all over you, then big drops, looks like you've messed yourself up. Or maybe something else." Slughorn turned to Professor Longbottom, drawing his wand firing a spell. Longbottom responded with his own and the duel began. Students fled into the castle, but Albus stayed and watched. He saw Slughorn, or at least the man disguised as him, yell: "So you're the one who was chosen by the sword of Gryffindor? Heh, I don't believe it.". He then moved his wand from Professor Longbottom and aimed it at a Ravenclaw girl running from the fight. "Crucio!" he yelled as the girl dropped in pain. Professor Longbottom was forced to abandon the fight to help her, and the man pretending to be Slughorn via Pollyjuice potion began to fly out. As he was flying, Albus turned his wand to him and fired a disarming charm, causing his wand to fall down onto a rooftop. Madam Pomfrey then ran in and grabbed Albus to take him to the medical ward. A few days later, Draco left Malfoy manor, saying that he was going to rescue Scorpius from Azkaban, although his mum begged him to stay, worried that her son would be given the Dementor's Kiss. He travelled several days to Hogwarts, where he begged McGonagall to teach him the Patronus charm so that he could fight the Dementors during his mission to break Scorpius out of Azkaban. She eventually conceded after some persuasion for Dumbledore's and Snape's paintings. He eventually cased a Pufferfish as his pattronum, before setting out for Azkaban to save his son.
