I’m trying to practice my 1 on 1 conversational communication skills but have yet to build the confidence to do it in person. I want to start online but don’t know where to go. I know there are websites like Omegle where you’re supposed to have a face cam but I’m not really interested in those because people don’t go there to focus on communicating. I’ve tried my luck with online chat rooms and discord servers however I mostly encounter either trolls or people who just dgaf to help. Anybody here have a go-to place to either chat or find people who are willing to chat with the purpose to improve their communication?

2025.01.20 05:20 Infinite-Citron-3042 Terrified of upcoming surgery
Hi All - I posted here a few days ago regarding my bucket handle tear of my lateral meniscus. I met with my orthopedic surgeon last week. In addition to the tear I also have osteoarthritis in the knee, significant cartilage damage and fissuring, tons of swelling/fluid and the bone of my knee now shows bruising. My surgery is scheduled for 1/27 and they are doing the “good standard” inside out repair. Unfortunately, I just returned from short term disability for another unrelated surgery in November. My job is very flexible and I work from home. I planned to take only the first week off and opted to not do short term disability again. Ive ordered a bedside desk to work from my bed. My question is, for those that have had this surgery or similar surgery 1. Is it doable to return to work so soon and 2. Shoot it to me straight, how bad is the pain afterwards? Due to a liver transplant I’m unable to take any and all NSAIDS (no ibruprofen, advil, aspirin or toradol). I’m only able to take the minimum dose of Tylenol and Oxycodone/Dilaudid for pain management. Any feedback is greatly welcome. Thanks so much!
