2025.01.20 06:50 hugehugelol Painful legs for 4 or 5 days straight. Could it be blood clots or my veins?
28f, prescribed compression stockings about 5 years ago after an ultrasound on my legs as I complained my veins were hurting and hot to touch.
I’m getting really worried as I’ve had pain in both legs for days on end now, nothing I do is helping. I have tried painkillers, elevating my legs, resting, bathing in muscle soaks/deep heat.
My dad had a stroke at 41 so I am a bit worried about clots. I have an appointment booked with my GP this morning but I am going out of my mind with the pain until then. Please help

2025.01.20 06:50 Working-Response2640 Head Hitting
Ive relapsed in the past couple weeks due to stress/anger issues from work and other mental things going on. Using sharp objects has mostly phased out of that, but I've picked up a new habit of Head Hitting instead. I don't want to do either forms of harm, but it just happens in an impulse. At work, at home, etc. I feel like it's probably far more harmful than cutting, since my skin can scar, but if I knock my brain out, I'm kinda screwed. I don't know if there's any other alternatives that I can redirect myself to, since when I don't want to hit my head, I go for my joins and hands. I'm also planning to start therapy again, but its been a loooong time. Any advice surrounding that, I know, and I'm taking the steps to get to a professional.
TL;DR: Relapsed, switched to head/body hitting as a cutting alternative. I don't wanna do either anymore. Any suggestions for self redirection? I have plans to get back to therapy soon as well

Hi! Please forgive my possibly jumbled mess of a post that follows, I’m just letting out random thoughts and hoping they stick the landing. Im just settling in for the start of my work week anyway, so this is as good of a time as any, even if it’s late night.
To be completely honest, I don’t really have a ton of expectations for meeting someone and have sort of decentralized dating from my life at this point. That’s not to say I don’t want a relationship, I’m just not chasing them anymore. Which maybe is counter productive to be posting here but hey, we all want some company sometimes right? While I have been enjoying having my free time all to myself, I’m still a little glutton for that smitten feeling, so here I am.
Here’s some random yet relevant things about me that may help you decide if I am the sort of human you could enjoy:
- I am introverted but not usually socially awkward. I just like to be cozy at home.
- I love to laugh and make people laugh.
- Sarcasm and teasing are hands down the best ways to bond.
- I love that instant chemistry you rarely find with another person.
- I am very loyal once I get close to someone
- I play games in my spare time and also sometimes at work. Mostly WoW (Cata Classic, if you are in the know about all that stuff)
- I like fantasy and sci fi the most for movies/tv/books, such as The Witcher, Shadow and Bone, Star Trek, BSG, 12 Monkeys, Foundation as well as comic book movies/tv shows like DC, Marvel and whatever The Boys is. It’s own thing right?
- You can often find me gaming with either some sort of true crime documentary or League of Legends stream in the background.
- I’m super late to the party but have spent the last couple weeks listening to Linkin Park which I was not a fan of growing up. Not a hater just not a fan. But that’s what I’ve been listening to lately and it’s awesome.

Most people will prefer a partner with balance proportions. However a good amount of men will still be attracted to women that are well developed for a lack of better terms. Even the ones that have gone to extreme lengths with surgery, still get a share of men attracted to them. When it comes to women a majority of them only like men that look natural. Very few like the bodybuilder physique. Also most of them don’t like men who are bald or too much body hair. It doesn’t really make sense since these are indicators of high testosterone yet is not appealing to most women.

I'm about to enter a fairly large enterprise program as an RTE - My question is on In Sprint testing because I'm curious what other large programs are doing. It seems our model has Development Unit Testing which is done by the Developer and then Acceptance Criteria Verification by the Testers for a single story expected to be completed within one (two-week) sprint. On top of this, they have ST/SIT/UAT for Release testing. Is this accurate or overkill?
