I’m just keen on some advice, I’m going to hospital on Thursday, it’s a private hospital, I’ve been asked to bring my prescribed medications, will I be okay with my medical vaporiser in the hospital? My prescribed flower is GG4 (so technically says for tea). I have a Venty (Storz and Bickel but not a Vapormed/medic, made to the same spec though), I also have a Mighty Medic (og and plus) and a volcano medic. Any advice anyone has? Cheers

2025.01.20 07:50 aguywhogoesbyaname Should the derailleur swing freely, or is it fixed at the bracket axle (b-axle unit) on the RD-M980/M986
This derailleur didn’t come with one, so I’m installing a new one, and I can’t find ANY detailed documentation about the installation of this particular b-axle unit onto the derailleur. The technical manual shows how to take one off, but it isn’t clear about how to install it on this specific derailleur. It doesn’t even mention that it is attached with a torx bolt and retaining clip.
If I snug the torx bolt that attaches the derailleur to the b-axle, the derailleur doesn’t swing, but I was under the impression that it should.
I understand that the b-axle unit itself is secured tightly to the hangar with a 5mm hex, that there should be no gap between the tab on the hangar and the tab on the b-axle unit, and that the derailleur should be fixed securely at the hangar.
So, isn’t the derailleur supposed to swing freely at the b-axle?
Sorry if this is confusing, but please don’t guess or offer an answer unless you are 100% sure about it with this specific derailleur.

During Ross Coulthart's follow up to his News Nation special, he makes a pretty bold comment about you, the UAP community (timestamp is 12:10):

To paraphrase, we should all take this more seriously and stop viewing it as "entertainment." I'll sidestep the fact that his shows and podcasts are, in fact, entertainment and presented as such as witnessed by the Unsolved Mysteries/Current Affair motif emulated for his latest special, as there is an even bigger glaring issue he wants you to overlook. He presented the now infamous egg shaped crash retrieval video that had no connection to Jake Baber with absolutely zero provenance or context and thinks you should just blindly believe that it's legit.
Now hear me out - I'm not saying that it is "fake," but it certainly doesn't mean it's a UAP which is a huge leap of faith to take when all we have to go on is Ross saying it is and that it was provided anonymously. There is literally no information to go along with this 10 second clip - we could literally be looking at anything, whether it is "fake" or just misidentified or an actual UAP.
First is he doesn't provide any provenance. Where did this video come from, other than an "anonymous" source? How was it vetted? What additional research was done to verify it's authenticity and the anonymous source's veracity? How was it obtained? Was it just sent to Ross in an email from an unknown sender?
And that speaks nothing of any contextual information about the clip. It literally was just thrown into the show and the audience was told it was a crash retrieval of a UAP. When was this video taken? Where was it taken? What was the circumstances of the crash and subsequent retrieval? Why is it only 10 seconds of what we can all assume is a much longer video? Where is the rest of the video? Why was it edited down to only 10 seconds? What occurred prior to the 10 second clip, and then after once it touches the ground?
Sure, it's an odd video and will make you say "hmm." But with ZERO provenance or context, it's just that - a random 10 second clip of who the hell knows what. Again - not missing some context - literally ZERO context. None. But Ross thinks you don't take this seriously and only view it as entertainment because this community questioned what we were actually looking at.
I wouldn't have as big an issue if he himself didn't hype this up as one of the biggest stories of the last century. He even retweeted Jesse Michels before the show aired who said the following:
Ross Coulthart is dropping what I suspect will be one of the most consequential news stories in the last century: a firsthand UFO whistleblower who has retrieved non-human craft
And then he has the audacity to berate the UAP community because we question it's authenticity when he provides no information to back up his own sourced 10 second clip, and follows it up with a first hand whistleblower that only provides more stories and no tangible evidence to back up his own claims? Need I remind everyone that Ross was fired from a previous journalism job because he pushed a conspiracy about a British pedophile ring claiming evidence/witnesses that turned out to be completely false that he hadn't vetted.

What I mean by that is his nose, when he lies we can see that Pinocchio's nose grows as proof. My thought was to have LLMs/AI be programmed to essentially do the same thing, and trained against ever going against that showing itself without human prompting and only for a set period of time that not even human prompting can remove.
Or is that a type of thing already? Sorry if this doesn't make a lot of sense, just about 3am here with rambling thoughts.

 | To cut to the chase, I calculate the milage and if it's not a dollar a mile or if it would take me longer than 30 to complete, I just don't believe it worth the ride I mean miles, gas, time, and people are sketchy too!! I've been doing this for 3 days and idk just take a look. They take me out of my zone and if I don't get a ride there then I ain't making nothing I can't look at it as an hourly job since it's not. The car takes a toll, the gas, maintenance I just don't find this worth the time. Am I doing something wrong? Too picky? Bad experience with someone coming out of his job with his shoes all dirty (guess he works at the kitchen) not even having the decency of cleaning his shoes. So I had a bunch of friends I met online (8 of us in total). The friend group was all fine and good and everything, until one of my friends was racist to me (i’m black). I don’t just mean jokes i mean genuinely racist, and he admitted too that he didn’t mean it as a joke and that all the things he said were serious (that only white people should be together and interracial relationships are wrong, that black girls are weird and aren’t his thing, stuff like that). Almost everyone in the friend group told me to move on and were excusing his actions, so I left the group.
Now one guy (different guy) and one girl from that group are befriending some of my other online friends (a separate group) and it just makes me so depressed and angry that they didn’t get called out for what happened but rather are able to make even more friends. I’m frustrated towards the 2nd friend group too because I told them everything that happened (I didn’t even want to name drop at first but then they told me it’s ok and that I can say the names of my ex friends who said hurtful things). I don’t think they have to stop being friends with them entirely if they don’t want but it just makes me really sad how friendly they are towards them.
One of the guys from my ex friend group, I’m close friends with his best friend and he told me that he “supports me but doesn’t know what to do” I’ve seen this guy stand up for other people/things he likes in the past so idk what I’m doing wrong, maybe I wasn’t close enough friends with him for him to do that. It makes me feel like I’m overreacting, but I don’t think I am. One of my friends even apologized to me for being so friendly to my ex friends but then nothing has really changed and she still acts the same. AIO for wanting my friends to be less friendly to my ex friends?
