You can use ENV for environment variables to use during the build and in containers. With this Dockerfile: FROM ubuntu ARG BUILD_TIME=abc ENV RUN_TIME=123 RUN touch /env.txt RUN printenv > /env.txt You can override the build arg as you have done with docker build -t temp --build-arg BUILD_TIME=def .. Then you get what you expect: The Build Tools give you a way to install the tools you need on your build machines without the IDE you don’t need. Hi guys, building my first gaming pc. In terms of cost/performance would B650 over x870 Tomahawk? 4070 TI super over 4080 super?
I refer air cooling, I assume that's more than enough fans?
I did see below warnings on compatibility build website. I'd be having someone build this for me, so would I need them to keep points in mind?

I’m a freshman in AI right now. When I applied last school year, I thought there would be pretty much no difference in a cs vs ai degree, and I liked ai, so that’s what I went with.
When I got to Purdue, I felt like a bit of an outsider to cs majors. The two are similar programs, but cs has a broader scope of study and a lot more people. I’ve also heard that employers don’t place as much value in a pure ai degree over a cs one that has ai in it.
I just wanted to ask: I still love ai, but should I be concerned about getting a degree in just that? Should I get a double major in something else like math in order to supplement the degree? Other AI majors, If you’ve been active in job seeking, how’s it going so far?
I hope this isn’t taken as complaining, I’m just trying to figure out if this is the right path for me and I appreciate your help.

I am creating a datapack for a skyblock world. To generate islands, I am teleporting an armor stand to a random location in the void (into unloaded chunks), then teleporting the player to the armor stand and using a series of fill commands to generate the island. The problem is that the island is not generated because those chunks are not yet loaded. What can I do?
I have come up with two methods that both work by scheduling the generation function. The problem is that the delay can vary based on server load, etc. So sometimes 20 ticks is enough, while other times the whole island or half of it is not generated.
Method 1:

Teleport the armor stand
Forceload a 3x3 chunk around it
Wait for the chunks to be loaded and generate the island
Teleport the player

This method introduces some light update issues. When the player is teleported, parts of the island are dark, and light levels are not updated properly.
Method 2:

Teleport the armor stand
Teleport the player hundreds of blocks above the island with slow falling effect
Wait for chunks to be loaded
Teleport the player to the island (or let them fall down for a cinematic effect)

This method has no light update issues, but it uses a weird teleporting mechanic that may not look good.
So is there a better solution to fill an area immediately after teleporting the player?
