2025.01.20 09:01 sonny_devil365 Tips for visiting without a car?
Visiting SD from LA using the pacific surfliner (amtrak) as fares are $10 in Socal until the 24th. Will be a day trip & it did not seam reasonable to rent a car for $100 just for a day. Currently have Petco Park, Balboa Park, & Coronado Island on the itinerary. I want to include La Jolla but wondering if it’s worth the time. Will have about 9 hours (if we arrive on time), although that seems like a lot, I’m just worried using the public transportation will slow us down. But also willing to use uber if it’s affordable.
Please reply with any advice or not to miss spots for food/shopping/sight-seeing.

Let me preface this by saying that during this night I'm gonna talk about, lots of my actions have been more than questionable. Let's say shitty. I've been quite shitty.
It all started when my boyfriend saw his friend Ian, I myself really like Ian and both me and my boyfriend haven't seen ian in ages. I wasn't invited which I was really sad about, but I get it. It's his friend, they haven't seen eachother, have a lot to catch up on ect. This however, during that time, confirmed some anxieties I had been spiralling about, that being that my boyfriend is embarrassed on me and doesn't want his friends and me to connect anymore.
Ian then was supposed to stay over which made everything cool again, but the both of them had been at the pub for a few hours and I felt quite awkward having them come home tipsy/drunk while I was sober. So I got a bottle of wine, had two glasses and left the rest of the bottle in case they wanted to carry on their night at our flat.
Just when I thought they're coming home (on life360) at 9.30 pm, they stopped at yet another pub. My sleep routine is consistently 10pm so it felt like my boyfriend was waiting until the coast is clear. My anxieties came back, stronger than before and I started freaking out, thinking that all of my worries got confirmed.
So I had another glass, and another, to "calm me down" and "make me sleepy". Ha. Pure stupidity. Sadness turned into anger and I decided I should spend some time away from our flat and stay with a friend. I started packing a bag and started walking.
None of my friends replied so I thought I'd sit in a bar and figure out my steps from there with another beer. At this point I was tipsy but not at all super drunk. The only place open at that time (12pm, yes, London is a joke) was a late night bar that turned out to be a club. I got chatting with some people and my night of trying to figure out where to go from there, turned into dancing with some people I met there. One girl offered me the drink she got, as it was disgusting and she wouldn't drink it. I declined first, but got thirsty from the dancing and went back to our table to have a sip. Yes, a sip from the unsupervised drink.
That is the last thing I can remember from that night.
The next thing I can remember is being on some random 50-year-olds house boat 5 hours later, chatting away with him. My boyfriend had been blowing up my phone but I only realised then and my location was turned off and he was freaking out.
He came to pick me up and immediately asked me if I had cheated on him.
I can't remember a good few hours of the night, but I'm fairly certain I didn't. Here's why I think that: 1. Apperently my boyfriend ran into me and this 50 y/o when we were on our way to his boat and that 50 y/o made jokes about how I already told him how many kids me and my boyfriend are gonna have, the names and how much I love him. I can't rememb er that at all but this doesn't sound like I would then proceed to cheat on him.
- Why did we go to his boat? Well, I can remember telling the two people I met at the club that I don't know where to go that night because I can't stay at home. That's probably what happened here, I told him I don't know where to stay, and he said you can stay at my boat.
- In the early morning, when I memory again, this 50 y/o asks me if he can touch my leg, which I de clined. Sure, he made a move, but he wouldn't have asked if we had been doing anything else before.
- I didn't physically feel like I had had sex. Usually somehow I can feel something down there, and I didn't this time.
I also love my boyfriend to bits. This has been over a week ago and he was depressed two days after, was then fine, and now most recently, he had a dream about the night and has since been back to being depressed. He will barely talk to me, although he will say he loves me.
I don't know what to do. He really seems to think I've had sex that night or at least kissed someone. I have no idea how to fix this, and he doesn't either. I've asked him what I can do and he just says he doesn't know.
I know this night must've been terror for him and I'm genuinely deeply sorry I made him go through that. But now he his back at being depressed and it breaks my heart not being able to do something.
He asked me to stop drinking, because everytime I do, it turns out to be horrible, and I turn out to be horrible, and although it feels like I'm really restricting myself with that, I did stop drinking and haven't even had a beer since.
Does anybody have any tips for me as how to fix this mess? Has anybody been through this? Please help.

What you should do instead is search subs like audioengineering for example as it is extremely likely your particular question is not special and has been asked and answered repeatedly in places like that.

I’m a sahm and do side gig work. DoorDash and Amazon flex. I made $2,000 less than last year but I owe money this year just under $200. How come I owe this year when I made less? The prior year my EIC was significantly more and I actually got a refund of $700 or so. Confused? (And I don’t do all the tax breaks like gas, insurance, cell phone - I didn’t do it last year and got a refund so didn’t bother this year, I haven’t been keeping track)
