2025.01.20 10:20 CeilingSteps I need a reality check on my last Devlog video (complete change of format, made me happier, but the results were worse than ever)
I'm working on a game, and needless to say, it has been extremely hard for me to figure out who the target audience is. The game requires a lot of physical movement, so it's often not attractive to traditional gamers. At the same time, it's still a game, so it doesn’t really appeal to non-gamers either. (For context, the game is very similar to Ring Fit.)
On top of that, I’m also trying to figure out how to make Devlogs. The last video I made was the one I had the most fun with. Normally, I just sit in front of the camera and talk, with a few cuts to show gameplay. But in this one, I showcased gameplay the whole time, and I actually found the process of making and watching the video quite entertaining.
However, I lost 10 subscribers and gained 0 since I published it, when usually it goes up like 10 to 50 per day. That’s fine, but I feel like I need a reality check. Could someone let me know if the video is just too cringe? I was 100% planning to stick to this format and now I feel like I need to go back to sitting at my desk and talking to the camera because that seems to be what people prefer, I don't know what I'm doing either way

I am a 25 year old soon to be master graduate from Germany. My first time in the US was in 2019 where I stayed for 6 Months for a semester abroad. Second time was an internship for a German company for one year in 2023, ending in March 2024 where I met my girlfriend (now dating for one year). After coming back from my internship i visited her again in May (stayed for 3-4 weeks), after which she came to visit me in Germany in the summer and I now came back to her place over Christmas and New Years (4 week stay). When I got to the airport, they were asking about my visit in May and I explained I visited my gf, which I am also doing now. This lead to me being in the secondary inspection, which was really not bad, they asked me a couple questions on where i met her, if i have enough money for my stay etc. The interview went well and I was granted entry. The officer told me at the end of the interview „Why don’t you apply for a B2 Visa?“. I will be starting a full time job in Germany next month after I graduate. Now my question is, will I have problems visiting her again this year, if I wait 3-4 months to go there again for 3 weeks? I am very anxious about them denying me entry at the border since I am now flagged because of my secondary inspection right? Should I try applying for a B2 visa like the officer recommended? will that make future visits easier?

I got an interview call from SDA Bocconi AC and there are a lot of mixed reviews about the institute regarding
- ROI concerns :- Investment of 25-27 lakhs and average placement is 13-14 LPA
- The degree not being AICTE approved and that it is just a certification.
- Infrastructure being not upto level of other MBA colleges.
About the 3 points above.
- My POV is that ROI is not really my concern coz gradually we make decent money and the investment is returned anyway after n years.
- The degree and AICTE accreditation is my real concern because I don’t want any issues due to that in my future promotions or job switches.
- I don’t really care about the infrastructure being world class and all, I have heard that the curriculum there is really nice and that’s what matter to me.

Hey all! Massive Action Button (and the man, myth, absolute legend himself, the man behind the brand, Tim Rodgers himself) fan here.
Like many of you here on this subreddit, I'm sure it runs even deeper as it does for me. I would go as far as to say that Action Button has significantly impacted not only how I see video games, art, and life itself as a whole, but also __so, so much more.__
There is one episode of Action Button Reviews in which Tim spends some time discussing and showing off his "process" for the production of one of his __Action Button Reviews__.
I believe it is during this segment that he mentions the sheer duration one of his projects take, from conception to publication-- I think it was close to a year if I am not mistaken.
He sort of discusses his process for how he sort of __defines__ his thesis (for example, he doesn't just create a review about Cyberpunk 2077, he goes back as far as possible for all media in the genre), and then goes about incorporating his own life experiences.
The one thing that really stood out to me is when he went over his Adobe Premiere (I believe this is the video editing software he uses, please correct me if I'm wrong!) setup, and commented on how he color-codes each clip, how he annotates various things in Premiere, and does kind of an overview of his project within the Premiere suite.
There is so much more to this, but if I continued I would keep writing and writing!
