My high stats OOS kid (1500+ SAT, 4.75 UW, excellent ECs with leadership roles & strong essays) was admitted to USC Marshall on 1/17 but was “delayed/deferred” at UT McCombs on 1/15. He did not receive any Forty Acres invitations either. Given these data points, we can only surmise that: 1) UT did not read through all applications; 2) UT had poor control over their process to allow the RD stream to send out admission while their EA batch was not complete; 3) They will lose top applicants who applied ED2 elsewhere who may have withdrawn from their ED2 schools in order to attend UT but will now be unable to accept UT’s admission offer given the delay; and 4) This year’s yield will fluctuate due to this debacle and hence they may have too few or too many in the Freshman class.

Can enthesitis flare up in multiple joints at once? Or is it usually one joint mainly. Every few months I get this “flare” where my connective tissue hurts. Right now it’s my left wrist, joints in my left palm, both side elbows, left shoulder, left thigh and left ankle. I can feel that it’s the actual tendons/ligaments, if that makes sense. It happens all the sudden. It’s like a sharp/burning pain. Wondering if this is enthesitis or some other weird thing.

Hey everyone,
Since I haven’t seen a post about this yet, I thought I’d start the discussion. What have you all figured out about the new meta after the Conquest update?
Before the update, I had what I thought was one of the best possible teams: Scorn and Hiro as tanks, with Alivia, Wasp, and Kito as DPS. That lineup got me through the final town without much trouble. But since the update, I haven’t been able to win a single attack with the same team.
It’s clear that having a healer is now essential. In your opinion, who’s the strongest healer at the moment? I’ve tried both Falkron and Maki, and I’d say Maki performed slightly better overall.
What about tanks? Who do you think is the strongest right now? Scorn feels almost useless now, and I haven’t had much success with him. I’m still on the fence about Hiro, though.
And then there’s the DPS. I’ve tested Kito, Alivia, and Wasp, and so far, Kito has been the weakest in terms of damage output. Alivia and Wasp are pretty close, but Alivia edges out slightly with higher DPS overall.
What are your thoughts on the new meta? Which heroes are performing best for you in the current update? Let’s share some ideas!

Salam! I have recently started exploring Islam again. My family is Senegalese and follows Sufism, but I’m feeling confused about the perspectives of many famous scholars online. I’m asking this with complete ignorance—are the views of most scholars whose videos on haram and halal are available on YouTube considered the standard, neutral, and most universally accepted Islamic perspectives?
I see my family practicing and embracing things that are not always viewed positively in these online spaces. Some of these practices I understand, while others I do not. Like everyone, we all have our flaws and merits. However, I have recently discovered that different sects exist (I know this might sound uninformed, but I have genuinely been avoiding any spiritual guidance my whole life—eyes wide shut). This realization has left me confused about how much weight these online opinions actually hold.
I know that Mouride Sufism is considered a sect, and obviously, not everyone follows it, as it places emphasis on rituals not directly mentioned in the Sunnah. But to some extent, could these online spaces be a bit biased or even extreme? I also notice that the more spiritual and soul-healing aspects of Islam are rarely mentioned online, yet I resonate with them deeply.
Am I biased by my family’s school of thought, or do I have a valid point about social media and online Islamic spaces?
