You can use different keyboard languages, sometimes called input methods, on your Chromebook to: Change your typing language; Use special characters, like accent marks or currency symbols; Set your keyboard languages. At the bottom right, select the time. Select Settings . Under “Device,” select Keyboard Change input settings. Important: If you’ve added supervision to your child’s existing Google Account, they’ll need to restart the Chromebook to finish adding supervision and regain access to some Google services. Recommended: If you (the parent) are the Chromebook’s owner account, disable guest mode and control who can sign in to your child's Chromebook. Factory reset your Chromebook. Sign out of your Chromebook. Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift + r. Select Restart. In the box that appears, select Powerwash Continue. Follow the steps that appear and sign in with your Google Account. Note: The account you sign in with after you reset your Chromebook will be the owner account. For most Chromebooks, updates are automatic throughout their supported lifetime. For some Chromebook models, you must opt in to receive extended updates during the final years of support. These systems are denoted with a * next to the support date. To find device specific support dates and details, go to Auto Update policy Help Center. If you're on a Chromebook at work or school, your network administrator can choose your startup page(s) or homepage for you. If so, you won't be able to change them. Based on the Chromebook, you can connect up to 1-3 external monitors. Find "Works With Chromebook" certified docking stations. Troubleshoot connection issues. If you use a USB-C cable to connect your Chromebook to a monitor or docking station, the cable’s speed must be fast enough to support the connection. Troubleshooting tips. If you're having problems with Chrome Remote Desktop, try these tips: You need to be connected to the Internet to share or access a computer. My sister’s Chromebook is having an issue, but can’t get past Recovery either. I put it into recovery mode, none of the options are working.
- Recovery using phone
- A message says “No installed apps work with this USB accessory. Learn more about this accessory at (a link)”. When clicked, the link leads to a 404 not found page.
- Recovery Using Exeternal Storage
- Used my working Chromebook to install the Chromebook Recovery Utility, input the model number (TANKIS-AGVY), download the recovery image. When plugged into the not-working computer, receive “An error occurred”. No other explanation. Tried 3 times.
- Recovery using Internet
- Receive error message “Internet Recovery partition corrupted or missing. Please recover using external storage instead.”
I also disconnected and reconnected the battery. Not sure how to proceed from here.

Hi all,
The title pretty much says it. My husband's desktop computer will not connect to our new Google Fiber network. It's running Windows 11, made up of newer components from the last 5-6 years at the oldest, a lot are newer than that. In the past, he's connected with a Wifi adapter and the Google folks suggested we make sure it's at least a Wifi 6 adapter. We did that, and still the error message simply says "cannot connect to network".
Every other device, including my eight year old laptop running Windows 10, is connecting to the network with no problem. I've seen a few other threads here with similar messaging but very little info on how people actually solved that problem. This is his gaming PC and he often works from it, so it's not really workable for it to simply not connect. Does everyone else with this issue just get a second Nest Pro and connect by ethernet?
