So I was looking at scabbards for the Marlin I got last week. Something leather would have been my first choice but I didn’t want to commit to the price of anything really expensive since I know it would t be used that much. I took a chance in a reproduction WWII scabbard for an M1 Carbine and the fit is okay. Obviously not a lot of protection from what amount to a canvas bag but it seems like a fitting bridge between an 1894 gun with (soon to be) 2020 holographic sights and a suppressor.j

2025.01.20 20:42 204711200 Have no idea what I'm doing with my life
I'm a student who keeps flitting from one career idea to another yet none of them seem very feasible or enjoyable to me tbh. Studying economics as a safety net, and I wanted to pursue philosophy alongside that but then second guessed myself and wanted to switch to art history in hopes of getting a job in the art market, but now something tells me that's a stupid, unrealistic goal.
So now I suppose I'm returning to philosophy. But after I graduate what then? I don't even know what internships I should be looking for because everything seems out of reach and utterly hopeless
There's this Hunter S Thompson quote about how "your goals should conform to your life" or something like that, but what I want out of my life is not going to afford me a comfortable living. And I don't see myself as a self-optimizing robot who bends over backwards just for a Linkedin message, however I do want a white collar office job so maybe I will have to capitulate to that. Don't know what I'm going to do.

 | I’ve searched high and low for this t-shirt, and the furthest I’ve ever gotten was this single image I found from a sold Etsy listing out of Malaysia. It’s likely pretty rare due to the niche natural of the festival. I think it’s from 1987-88 or thereabouts. Anyway, I have some very sentimental history with this shirt. I was 2 when my dad bought it for me, and wore it for around 35 years. I’m desperate to find it again someday, in any size. Even if you’re reading this years from now, please DM me. I've been looking at upgrading my TV for a while now and I was initially looking at a Samsung LED, and found a TCL QLED for £368 in the UK (55"). I currently have a Samsung and haven't used a TCL before, so I have no idea if they're a reliable company to buy from and if it's a good idea to get the TCL, or spend the extra money for a Samsung.
