2025.01.20 20:50 Stunning-Rise9398 Am I overproducing?
I’m a first time mom and baby is only 10 days today. He’s on the bigger side (came out 8lbs 2oz) and at our follow up appointment 4 days after delivery he had already come above his birthweight to 8.4 after going down to 7.13 before leaving the hospital. He eats like 2.5-3oz per session and eats every 2-3 hours. I pump and give him slow feeding bottles, but when I pump I’m pumping about 10-12oz per session. Am I am overproducer? Is he eating too much? Is overproducing blessing or a curse? For context, I’m about 5’8 and his dad is about 6’6 so we expect he’ll prob be bigger than most babies, but I don’t want to overfeed and cause any issues.

(Hi there! Just a friendly reminder: any information you see written like this is simple fan speculation, aka non-canon. As I’ve said before, Rustage decides what is and isn’t canon. I love the series and don’t want to spread any false information—I just like to fill in any blanks where we have little to no info about the gods of Vestoria. So, just to reiterate, anything you don’t recognize from the series in this text is non-canon.)
Welcome, welcome to the fourth (un)OFFICIAL DATABOOK POST dedicated to the Vestorian Gods! The poll has spoken, and now here you have all the information based on the next god we shall discuss: Great Shot, the Ranger God. I’ll be running another poll later to determine the subject of our next post about another god. However, Palladium and Vestoria shall be held for last for obvious reasons. Now, ENJOY!
Personal Information Name: Great Shot
Position: The Ranger God of Vestoria
Status: “Deceased”—killed by a combo attack between Jesus and The Shark, with The Shark delivering the final blow using his not-a-weapon.
Familiar: (As the Ranger God, Great Shot has access to a familiar) “Great Red Dragon”—killed by Norman using Lightning Bolt.
Pendant Wielder: (formerly) Genghis Khan, (present) Boudica
Special Ability: The ability to make a pact with a non-beast, such as a wyvern, as an animal companion.
Tower Location: Solkin Territory
Personality: Great Shot is one of the more stoic and serious gods. He is a man of action who speaks very little, viewing mortals not just as beneath him but as prey. He sees himself as the hunter, capable of ending their lives if he so wishes. However, he does show a different more caring and loving side to his lover, Rose, the Rogue Goddess.
Appearance: Great Shot is unique in that, unlike the majority of other gods, he belongs to a different species entirely. While humanoid in appearance, he is an Avian male, as such more closely resembling a bird a black-feathered hawk to be precise. He may even be the predecessor of the Avian species. His dominant color is silver. Unlike his fellow gods, his eyes do not shine with the usual yellow-gold divinity. Instead, they are a deep red—possibly because he wears a silver mask. Then again, it might be his face. Whether it is a mask or not, his face is entirely covered in a metal like silver, from his beak to the back of his head. He appears to have six dreadlocks—three resting on each shoulder—each ending with a silver-like guard engraved with his symbol.
His physique is well-built and human-sized, as Jesus and The Shark were able to strike him in the face and chest. His feathers are a deep black, with the inside of his wings are the only different color that being red. As with all Avians, he has two wings and can in fact fly with them. He also has sharp claws and visible talons for feet he also has a black feathered tail attached behind him. Great Shot wears a red-brown robe that covers most of his entire body, showing off some visibile spots along with a large brown belt (marked with the Ranger Symbol). His left arm, (which he uses to draw arrows with) is armored with a silver shoulder guard that runs to his wrist. His right arm appears unarmored. On his back, he carries a pack containing an assortment of arrows. and finally in his right hand he holds a massive black coloured bow with 2 silver guards resembling almost like a bird's head and beak around the hand guard.
Relationships Relationship with the 1st Pendant Wielder: We know nothing about Genghis Khan’s relationship with Great Shot. It’s likely he had no knowledge of the god’s existence and believed his abilities were his own. Knowing Great Shot’s personality, he likely didn’t favor Genghis Khan, as the latter was more focused on conquering cities than activating his tower. and knowing Genghis Khan he most likely wouldn't have activated the tower either way to do the bidding of a god.
Relationship with the 2nd Pendant Wielder: After Genghis Khan’s death, the Ranger Pendant flew off to find a new wielder: Boudica. Once again, little is known about their relationship. However, since Boudica ultimately sided with the gods, it seems that Great Shot lied to her to secure her allegiance. Unlike Genghis Khan, she activated his tower and earned his respect. Granting her his ability to form a bond with a non beast….a Wyvern—an otherwise impossible feat for other rangers.
Relationship with Dru: Dru might be the only true friend Great Shot has among the gods or ever for that matter. At first, they struggled to work together due to their contrasting personalities—Dru’s Joking and Energetic energy clashing with Great Shot’s stoic seriousness. However, as they shared a domain (the forest), they were forced to cooperate. Over time, Great Shot began to value Dru’s companionship, respecting his strength and love for nature. Dru, for his part, enjoyed training with Great Shot and often urged him to rely less on his bow and more on physical combat—advice Great Shot stubbornly ignored.
Relationship with Palladium: Great Shot views Palladium as his rival and respects him greatly. Palladium is the only one among the gods and mortals alike to match—or nearly match—Great Shot’s skills in archery. The respect is mutual, with Palladium admiring Great Shot’s stoic efficiency. Before being sealed, they frequently held hunting competitions, which usually ended in a tie.
Background Great Shot’s Mortal History: Great Shot lived among the first Avian beings, ruling the skies and forests. Known for their hunting and archery skills, Avians were formidable. Among them, Great Shot was the best archer and hunter. He was greatly respected by his people; they would have made him their leader had it not been for his always-serious demeanor and refusal to cooperate with those he deemed inferior. If you were incapable of shooting an arrow as well as he did, you would not join him on a hunt—simple as that.
He eventually left his people, to go out into the world seeking worthy challengers in archery, only to be met with either disappointment from other races that could barely hold a bow, let alone shoot an arrow, or hatred and disgust for being an Avian. Eventually, he returned to the forest alone to hunt and refine his skills. One day, he was surrounded by wolves. Out of arrows and, unable to fly due to an injured wing from a sneak attack by the wolves, he was prepared to meet his end. However Palladium, intervened, using Great Shot’s bow to kill the wolves with unmatched precision. Once the wolves were disposed of, Palladium introduced himself and explained he had heard of a bird-man with insane archery skills. He offered Great Shot the chance to join him and ten others to overthrow Vestoria and take her power. Impressed by Palladium’s skills and kindness—treating him like a person and not just some bird—Great Shot agreed, joining Palladium’s group and that day he became Great Shot The Ranger God.
The Ranger God History: As the God of Rangers, Great Shot reigned over the Hunt and Wilderness, a domain he shared with Dru. Together with the other gods, they summoned humans from various worlds to compete in deadly tournaments for their amusement. The winner would be granted a wish from the Fountain, ensuring Vestoria remained trapped. Great Shot granted blessings to many humans. But a mere sliver off his power only for it all to change when the last tournament’s winner, Jack the Ripper—the Pendant Wielder of his lover Rose, the Rogue Goddess—wished for the gods to be trapped in towers. Thus, Great Shot was sealed in a tower within Solkin Territory. Trapped in his domain, a simple forest, he awaited the day he would return. During this time, he honed his skills with the bow and formed a bond with a Great Red Dragon. He was also one of the few gods who was not alone in his domain, as he was regularly visited by his lover, Rose.
Eventually, Genghis Khan became his Pendant Wielder but failed to activate the tower. After Khan’s defeat, Boudica succeeded him and awakened the tower. Lying to Boudica, he made her believe the party to be evil and revealed them as the killers of Leonardo Da Vinci. She sided with the gods and fought for them, leading to her inevitable defeat. When the party activated the fountain and confronted Great Shot in his domain, he, Rose, and the Great Red Dragon were their opponents. However, even though he was legendary for his archery skills, Great Shot was rendered completely useless after Norman disarmed him with telekinesis. Without his bow, he was helpless, and the warnings of his friend Dru had finally caught up to him. He fell to a combined attack by Jesus Christ and The Shark, with The Shark delivering the killing blow.
