Iāve been watching football for decades, and Iām honestly at my witsā end with whatās happening to the game right now. Historical clubs are playing dreadful football, and the fans and pundits donāt seem to grasp the gravity of what theyāre witnessing. Itās like weāve lost all common sense and replaced it with this bizarre, hybrid version of football thatās completely alien to me.
Take Manchester United, for example. Theyāve gone and hired a manager straight out of the Portuguese leagueāa league dominated by 2-3 teams with tiny budgets and questionable qualityāto bring in some nonsensical tactics that clearly donāt belong in the Premier League. And every week, this manager gives press conferences full of gibberish, calling the team āthe worstā or spouting other nonsense, and somehow, heās untouchable. No one critiques him! Contrast that with Ten Hag, a far more capable manager who was ripped to shreds by the media and fans. Itās infuriating.
Then thereās Tottenham, who thought it was a great idea to bring in an Australian manager with zero top-level experience outside of places like Yokohama Marinos and Celtic. Heās burning out their squad with his absurd tactics and training methods, yet half the fans are hypnotized into supporting him while the other half scream at the chairman. Make it make sense.
Arsenal? Managed by a guy with a Lego haircut who, letās be honest, wouldnāt be where he is without some incredibly talented players carrying the team. Heās completely unlikeable, and yet people keep hyping him up as some sort of genius.
And donāt get me started on Manchester City. Pep, the āunhinged divorcee,ā is managing the most corrupt football club on the planet, sitting on a mountain of Saudi oil money. The FA turns a blind eye while they dominate the league, and people are out here idolizing Haaland like heās the second coming of Christ when the guy looks completely lost half the time.
This isnāt the football I grew up with. This feels like some Frankenstein mix of La Liga, the Portuguese league, and a touch of Italian spaghetti chaos. Whereās the grit, the common sense, and the identity of English football? Where are the real managersāFerguson, Allardyce, Hodgson, Redknapp, Clough, Venables, Robson? Can you imagine Clough playing Amorim-style tactics? Or Big Sam spouting the rubbish these modern managers do in press conferences?
I feel completely alienated. The game I love is slipping away, and itās like everyoneās asleep at the wheel, accepting this woke, ridiculous version of football without question. Am I the only one losing my mind over this?

the book was a teen/possibly older children's, where the plot was that this teenage girl (and possibly a younger brother and a female cousin) discovered a set of lock picks that had belonged to the main characters dad who her mum doesn't talk about anymore. they used the lock picks to break into a sweet shop, and later used them to break into some kind of tower. it was very much that the main character had been told her dad was a no good thief but actually was much more.
other key bits i remember is that her neighbour had tanks full of pond weed? these were involved somehow with the towers they broke into š
the cover was red and black - there must have been a key somewhere on the cover. i think i read it around 2011? definitely over 10 years ago.
this has haunted me for YEARS so any help would be so gladly received oh my god

I haven't done this since Black Ops II, but I name them based from other multiplayer shooters with many classes names.
*Assault - Basic loadout with XM4 *Shock Trooper - SMG with the speed perks *CQB - Shotguns *Suppressive - LMG mostly used to spray until I run out of ammo. *Scout - Sniper with quiet perks
*Pointman - Marksman rifles; I named it as such because I was getting "First Blood" kills with it. *Tactician - Semi-auto shotgun with "tactical" Field Upgrades and all of Tier 3 perks. *Engineer - SMGs with "engineer" Field Upgrades and all of Tier 2 perks *Combat Support - Assault Rifles with "Combat Support" loadout such as Assault Pack and War Cry and all of Tier 1 perks *Saboteur - Run around with a knife

Guys I don't know what is up with me. I started playing lol cause of my friends and boredom. I tried to get a little competetive in solo/duo but despite getting S in games, I have like 3 won games in the last 18. I don't int my games, I play jungle only, i try to do objectives but my team never follow and either i have to run from them not to be killed by 3 people or i just die to ambush outright. I get flamed almost every game in bronze despite ganking, trying to leave kills for laners, but I always lose games anyways. I uninstalled thsi game like 7 times and deactivated and reactivated 4 times, my mental is gone, I am completely stone faced during games, fully locked in, yet still losing, I don't even get angry anymore, i am tired. Genuinely it's driving me insane. And I can't get over how obvious this is. I don't know what I'm doing wrong in social interactions because people treat me normally.
But ever since I was a child I was never informed about things. I always found about something happening in the family because I overheard someone talking about it. When we moved houses (I was 8) nobody told me until I got back from a wonderful vacation only to discover my previous home gone. The it happened again, same thing. I never get informed when someone goes on vacation, moves somewhere or does something that is acknowledged by the family. And I'm close with these people. They just never tell me shit. It's not just big things it's literally almost every day. I found out my uncle had cancer 3 months after everyone else knew apparently. I found out he died by pure accident 3 months late because I asked the wrong question, and I feel like nobody was planning to tell me at all. Nobody explained anything ever. I'm just always disregarded as if I'm supposed to be a telepath. They expect me to know when someone went on vacation and to ask them questions about it while never actually telling me anything. When someone is coming over I only find out as they knock on the door. All I'm asking for is the same treatment as everyone else, just tell me things like you do to my younger sister.
Now it's my friends too. There's some very serious stuff going on but I am informed about it last. And ffs, I was involved. But they've already assembled seemingly forgetting I exist. I'm not asking for much. Just be direct like with everyone else.
That's the catch, people treat me normally. It's just this one thing that happens. It's like exclusion but in 1 aspect only, otherwise I have great relationships with them. Why does everything go over my head like I'm not there. I don't get why I can't know things like everyone else. Fucking tell me stuff.
