Any of you gym types recommend an actual shop that stocks lifting shoes - not talking about vans/converse barefoot etc.
Easy enough to buy online but sizing can always be a bit funky so would prefer to try on. Places like Rebel and adidas sell them but no guarantees when you go into a shop they’ll be there.
I live rural but get into Auckland and every now and then. There must be a place that keeps a few types stocked?

I have invested in 4 paintings, and it has been 3 years since my 1st purchase. When I entered into this, I was informed that they typically hold assets 3-10 years. I believe their current estimates are based on the secondary market sales which will be lower as people get impatient and sell early. My mistake was buying the initial offering rather than waiting to purchase from the secondary market. No matter, I do not need to liquidate them any time soon.

2025.01.20 22:22 LingualEvisceration Kidney / Flank Pain - Emergency or no?
Hello all,
I'm a 37m, 320 lbs, 6'3, history of kidney stones and hypertension. History of Cauda Equina Syndrome.
For the past year or so, I've been having constant urinary symptoms, ranging from leakage to stones to now a pretty much constant pain in my flanks, mostly on the right side but also on the left, which comes and goes but always remains at at least a 3 on the pain scale, shooting all the way up to becoming unbearable at times (this has only happened once so far, but I thought I was going to have a stroke).
I noticed recently that I started passing what looks like red/dark brown sediment. It almost looks like tiny stones, but way too numerous to be stones. I tried picking one of them up and it broke into pieces like it was made of blood, possibly?
I made an appointment with a urologist a while back, but they can't get me in until a month from now. Is this something I should wait on, or does this require immediate attention?

Hi everyone, I heard most accounting firms prefer students beginning in September so employers would have sufficient time to provide training and prepare candidates for tax season, is finding January's starting public accounting job (Tax) possible? Besides, I wonder how is the market currently for tax in Vancouver, BC. Also, I don't mind doing private enterprise if this service line involves tax work as well (I am not sure about this one cause all my Co-op experience is in small accounting firms (20-30 people)).
By the way, I will be graduating in December 2025, and I prefer to start in January 2026. I want to start in the tax service line of a public accounting firm. I will have 3 public accounting Co-ops (1 4-month and 1 8-month, both were in tax, 8 months in tax season) and various leadership volunteer experience (not club positions) before graduation and my GPA is 3.1. Am I a competitive candidate for a medium-sized accounting firm or a Big 4 firm?
The last question is cause I want to job hop to CRA as an income tax auditor after passing my CPA or reach a manager title in public accounting. Does this position only require tax experience? Do I start in public accounting tax a good starting point to reach my goal?

Hey I have a problem i can't seem to get my head around and can use some advice.
When I first started playing competitively I played Bowser because he was easy and I just clicked. Later on Peach became my favorite character to watch and have been determined to learn how to play her.
Unfortunately learning Peach has been the most frustrating thing I've ever done. I find myself easily getting tilted because online is trash and missing a 2 frame float cancel gets you punished or simply just dropping combos I've labbed to death.
I got so frustrated I played Bowser for the first time in months and was doing way better without the frustration even when losing.
I really want to play Peach but should I just stick with what's working? Thanks

My Mother (50F) asked me (21F) to edit a video for her new YouTube channel. I help out with the channel semi-frequently and I had no problems doing so until today, when she informed me that she will be taking YT more seriously, and turning it from a hobby into a fulltime side hustle. I also felt that this particular video was a bad idea because it is filmed so close to where we live, so I warned her that it was a bad idea since it's easy to get doxed on the internet. I was probably overexaggerating because her channel is quite small, she only has a couple hundred subscribers and it's her choice to share what she wants on the internet.
I told her that I didn't want to edit her videos anymore because I am busy with both college and work, and she would need to learn for herself, which upset her quite a lot. I feel guilty because I may have been unsupportive but at the same time, I feel like it's not my responsibility to edit her videos on a regular basis, and I probably went too far by telling her that I don't owe her anything, to which she replied that I did. This rubbed me the wrong way, and I have been harboring a bit of resentment towards her because she was unsupportive and dismissive of my choice to pursue college a few years ago, and she often encourages me to drop out during arguments because she knows that it will hurt my feelings. I told her that I was tired of her lack of support towards me, only to expect my full support in return. I think that I may have gone too far by bringing my resentment into this, and maybe I am a bad daughter for not helping out.
She told me that I never want to help her, and that she hates living here. She stormed out of the house and told me that she is leaving, which was about an hour ago but I decided to give her space and to not contact her. As she was leaving, I told her that she was being a bit manipulative by threating to leave and I reluctantly agreed to edit the video. She told me that the damage has already been done and even started crying. I feel really bad now, maybe I was being a bitch and should have just helped out when she initially asked. Was I being a bad daughter or was my Mother being unreasonable/a bit manipulative by storming out?

I (31f) am friends with a 56m (single/divorced) at work. We usually hang out in a group but twice we’ve hung out alone. Before Christmas he was describing his house to me then said I should come over some time. There was also a movie we had been talking about for months and it came out over Christmas. He suggested that we go see it so we did. He offered to pick me up but I picked him up because his place is on the way and mine isn’t. I paid him back for the movie. He paid for snacks although I didn’t get anything. I noticed they had wine there and he said we can have that at home..
During the movie he kept the popcorn rested on his knee closest to me the whole time (that could be politeness). He seemed aware of me and I think rubbed his head a couple of times and discreetly glanced in my direction. He joked a bit throughout the movie. Then we went back to his place and he showed me his property and before I left he gave me a hug. It felt friendly not romantic. Afterwards he texted me thanks for seeing the movie and driving. Then he said next time should have a drink of wine. Then on New Year’s Eve we texted a lot. He still texts me but at work we didn’t tell anyone we saw the movie and it feels like nothing happened.
Was it a date or no, and am I just someone he’s keeping on the back burner?

Greetings Twilight Strugglers, OTSL is back!
Season 6 is still wrapping up, but Season 7 is now open for sign ups! The OTSL is designed to be a friendly competition, not a cut-throat league, where anything goes. The overall goal of the league is to create an enjoyable experience for players at all skill levels.
The league features two leagues (Gold + Silver, with promotions/demotions) to help players compete against similarly skilled opponents. It consists of a 14-game regular season and playoffs (for those who qualify). Our previous commissioner has stepped down, and Patrick Gong and JR Jones will be running the league this year, but it will still be the same league you love! We are happy to announce we will be returning to the main discord server for all Twilight struggle tournaments!

I work for a large car dealer and we’ve had a some dramatic changes affecting 4/10 sales execs performances (mine included). I was pulled into my 1-1 today to be told I will be put on a PIP if I don’t sell more cars in the next 9 days. Am I a goner? I call constantly, do videos, prospect and come in during days off and not getting results. Unfortunately the area we work in does not generate many leads.

Like why didn't I see it before? My mother is insanely socially anxious and shy/timid. She tends to infodump in her speech and fails to do the back and forth communication style of NTs. She also has so many sensory issues she doesn't speak about yet I see her in pain and annoyance. My dad on the other hand is the most extraverted, passionate and quirky pesron I have ever met. Prime example of hyperactive adhd.
Anyone else have parents like this were one has the tism and ones got the adhd?
