Hi All,
I recently came across this community, and I’m really glad to have found a place where I can relate and learn from others going through similar experiences.
My wife is currently 32 weeks and 3 days pregnant with DCDA twin girls, and she’s now under close monitoring. At our 28-week checkup, everything seemed fine except for a 20% growth discordance between the twins. However, during our next appointment, her blood pressure suddenly spiked to 150/100, even though she had no symptoms like dizziness or discomfort. When it remained high for the next two days, our OB decided to admit her for closer observation and mentioned that she might have preeclampsia.
On the first day at the maternity center, she was given Magnesium Sulfate, which the doctors warned would feel like a burning sensation inside her body. It was tough seeing her go through that and not being able to do anything but be there for her. She also received steroid shots to help with the babies' lung development.
To manage contractions, they’ve given her Terbutaline a few times, along with medication to keep her blood pressure and sugar levels in check. While the medications seem to be working, the palpitations caused by Terbutaline really worry me. I constantly remind myself to trust our OB team, but it’s hard not to be concerned about her heart.
Our doctors are hopeful that she can hold on until 34 weeks, so we still have two more weeks of monitoring ahead. One of the hardest things for me was having to leave the maternity center due to their policy—once you leave, you can’t come back until delivery. Leaving her behind with her mom and seeing her cry as I left was heartbreaking, but I keep reminding her to stay strong for herself and our twins.
We’ve now been here for seven days, and I’m just hoping and praying that everything goes well. It’s been tough balancing work, my emotions, and being apart from her, but I’m doing my best to stay positive.

I deeply got into film back in 2005 with Alfred Hitchcock being my catalyst into exploring pre-1980s movies which led down the rabbit hole to foreign films, B&W, etc.
And what do you do when you start getting into film? You start with top 100 lists or best of all time lists or pick a director and work on those and slowly dive deeper.
Thousands of movies later and nearly 2 decades later, I’ve realized so many of the amazing classics that I watched back in 2005-2007 I have not revisited even once. Raging Bull, Sunset Blvd, Wages of Fear, Maltese Falcon, Diabolique, Seven Samurai, etc.
I’m going to make it my resolution this year to go back and watch some of the classics that I barely remember. As hard as it is to sometimes choose a rewatch over a new watch, it feels weird to say I remember virtually nothing about Citizen Kane or All About Eve or On the Waterfront because it’s been nearly 20 years since viewing them. Some I loved, some I disliked, but I honestly can’t remember why!
How about you guys? Any movie watching goals for 2025?

Just finished the TV series, and of course - I am going to read the comics, since it has more of the back story and stuff.
I really love stuff like these. Was a huge fan of the Mighty Boosh when I was a kid. Obscure and dark shit make me tick. Any recommendations similar to this comic? I hate how it's so short and something like Spawn (which is amazing as well) has like over 300 issues... And I see that "The Maxx" is actually very popular in the hardcore circles. So that's weird, still waiting for that movie to go on.
At the end, I'd like to thank my Tinder connection, this awfully mid girl who introduced me to Maxx and I finally picked it up and watched it now. Great stuff!

So this is my sweet pepper bush’s second round of pepper growth. The first round of peppers grew perfectly. Now during the second round they’re all pointed. I did some research and I pollinated them the same way I did the first time. I think if pollination was an issue they still wouldn’t all turn out like this at once. The only different between the first round and now is that I’m adding in CalMag in addition to the Veg+Bloom. Has anyone else had this issue?

I’m a 36 female and have had constipation on and off for as long as I can remember. Lately it’s been a lot worse. I went to my doctor, who did blood tests (including celiac screening, nothing exciting on there), and abdominal xray (which showed “moderate stool”) and then an abdominal ultrasound that showed nothing. So my doctor said all they can do is refer me to a dietician. She told me to take as much Restorolax as I need to have one satisfying poop a day but all it did was make me painfully bloated. I haven’t pooped in over a week where I had to give myself an enema, which honestly wasn’t that fruitful. I have a heating pad on my very bloated and gassy tummy and I want some relief. I’ve taken senna and metamucil with no effect. Not sure if it matters but I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2017, though the doctor just left it all there as it was “widespread and potentially deep”… Help!

Okay so I read a book on kindle unlimited, but accidentally returned it without writing down the name/author. Here’s what I remember about it: the mmc kidnaps the fmc and locks her in his penthouse. Definitely enemies to lovers. She tries to escape a couple of times through the parking garage and doesn’t make it far either time- he’s watching on the cameras. His 5 (or 6 I think) bodyguards start to look at her as a little sister and she helps them all with their struggles while she falls in love w the mmc. Another big point I remember is a woman coming to visit with perfume that’s disgustingly strong and she was the mmc’s ex. Eventually the girl is allowed back into the world but then her and one of the bg’s gets attacked while they’re out w his motorcycle and he almost dies. I want to redownload this book so badly but I only remember plot points and not names. Plz help me with this I know someone else had to have read it before.

I'm considering leaving my job to go travel for around 6-8 months, maybe longer. I want to go explore the US, Canada, & Europe. See all these extended family I always hear about.
This is my first job after graduating university around 3 years ago. I've gotten increasingly unhappy working here - it's even starting to affect my mood outside of work hours. One positive is that I've managed put aside some money & erase any leftover debts from school.
I just feel like.. I need a reset and to escape away for a little while. Maybe I'm naive.
Does anyone here have experience with taking this sort of hiatus? What should my expectations look like? Would it impact my future employment ?
Appreciate any thoughts.

I just updated my PS5 after not using it for so long and I switch to my PC on monitor while it updates. I switch the HDMI signal to PS5 and I get no picture. I pressed the PS button on controller but nothing. I try to turn it off but I screwed up. I didn't remember what button turn it off. It finally showed picture after I switch to a different HDMI slot. This has happened before. I use a ViewSonic monitor so it might be that. I want to sell it but I don't want to sell something defective. I could just trade it in to GS and have them deal with it. I want a PS5 Pro.

I will get straight to the point. How common is this ending in your experience? I wouldn't say that I'm a pro gamer, but I would definitely consider my self up there with non idiot ones. I thought that I did okay yet got the worst possible ending.
PS: I got "in the water" in sh 2, so it makes me think that perhaps I am on the lowers side of the spectrum
