Trump's hand was not on the Bible as he swore the oath today. I know it's only tradition, but this is too symbolic to have been a mistake. His campaign fought hard for the Christian vote, and Justice Roberts is supposedly a devout Catholic who would notice such things. Trump has denied seeking God's forgiveness, he has held the Bible upside down without apology. The Catholic community's silence on this topic is very noticeable. I hope at some point Trump is held accountable for SOMETHING by us.

Day 5 moving onto 6 of 50mg and no matter what I do I only get 3 hours max every night. The first couple days it made me euphoric and restless but now I have a heavy pressure on my head because of sleep deprivation. I don't know how much longer I can go like this. Will this subside?

2025.01.21 00:56 LadyArrenKae My therapist suggested that I explore some new hobbies. I had to remind her that I have bills to pay. And I have no job.
My therapist, after hearing me describe my thought patterns stemming from parental neglect, stated that I should try to get new hobbies. Growing up, hobbies were a form of control in my family as much as they were a pastime. So, if I wanted to pursue something, but didn't relate to that "thing" the way my parents did, it wasn't allowed. Or, I was told I would be able to once I matured more. Maturity came. Compassion did not.
I had to tell her that I had numerous responsibilities that come first. Bills. People that rely on me that are incarcerated. Physical needs. Hygiene needs. I owe my extended family so much, to say nothing about other forms of debt,that I don't know how I'll ever pay it off. To top it all off, I need a job. But I am unable to work many jobs because of, well, how emotionally stunted I am. I can't receive benefits, either. So I deal with the world as it is.
My therapist then backtracked and said, "Well, why don't we instead try relating to our present hobbies in a different light?" I appreciated she did that. And yet, I am still upset that I have to remind people of my economic situation when they imply I'm just not living up to my full potential. My parents did something similar after YEARS of neglecting me as a person. "You didn't do anything to better yourself. You're just lazy and ungrateful." I feel I was sabotaged, criticized for doing so, and left to deal with life as someone that never got the structure so mant others did.
And before someone says anything, yes, I read. No, I don't want to do that right now. Yes, I am looking for cost-effective things to do with myself.

Hi! I’m looking at adopting a rescue… only I’m not rich and looking at what could be a serious health complication. I’m wondering if anybody has knowledge about dislocations that have healed improperly? I’m assuming it will cause issues. But I’m worried about spinal injury or arthritis in the future. Is that valid? How expensive are we talking…? She’s extremely sweet and seems to get along well with my current rabbit, but I want to offer her the best care and worry I might not be able to afford what she will need in the future.

2025.01.21 00:56 evanthorpe Smell of gas every few minutes during an oven bake?
A buddy and I recently replaced the igniter on our Maytag gas oven. It wasn’t really heating at all…or very slowly.
Replaced the igniter with a pretty highly-rated one off of Amazon…but it wasn’t an OEM replacement.
It’s now preheating and staying heated just fine. The lower burning element (not sure what it’s called exactly) lights up about 15-20 seconds after the igniter starts to glow.
However, now we smell a bit of gas every few minutes from the oven as the burner turns off (once it’s preheated) and then turns back on eventually to maintain the temp. I think the smell is happening in the moments where the oven has commanded the burner to turn back on, the igniter heats up, then it takes a that 20ish seconds for the burner to fire up.
Is it that the igniter should be taking less time to fire up the burner element? Again, I think the gas smell is coming from that middle period between igniter being on (and the burner starting to emit gas) and the burner actually lighting up.
Here’s a link to the video of the process I’m talking about. Now, this is after already having preheated the oven up to temperature…so this is a little later in the process.

Any thoughts? It’s not a massive gas smell, and again, it dissipates within a couple minutes, but it’s happening every 10 or so minutes during a bake as it maintains the heat.

Hi everyone, I'm hoping to find a duo to play games with and talk to and really get along with. I'd love to just chat in call about whatever and just have a good time. I figured I'd use this opportunity to make an awesome long lasting friendship here on Reddit. Lemme tell you a bit about myself:
•I play my games on PC primarily (also own a steam deck and man being able to play in bed is actually so nice) but I also have a bunch of cross play games so we do have variety. I have a bunch of games we could play and recently I've been enjoying Helldivers 2, CS2, Destiny 2, Fortnite, Battlefield, OW2, Cyberpunk 2077, Fallout 76, Monster Hunter World and Rise, Apex, Rainbow 6, and Rivals. While those are the games I play often nowadays, I still have a bunch of others so I'm sure we could find something that both of us would enjoy.
•Have a fairly dark sense of humor and can really talk about anything. I enjoy messing around and saying some dumb stuff to make jokes and whatnot.
•Really enjoys calls and would appreciate someone who also feels the same way. Texters only are great too so don't feel shy!
•Down to talk about anything you want to. Having someone there to listen is really nice sometimes and I try to give people the opportunity to just be themselves.
•Enjoy listening to music and just relax to it. I have a Spotify playlist in case anyone would want to give it a listen and its mostly filled with synthwave and house and I think its pretty nice. Would love to hear what anyone would wanna recommend.
