This past weekend I (35f) found my older sister (44f) unresponsive and not breathing. I began cpr while her daughter (18) called 911. Paramedics arrived and Iām not sure all they did, they asked me to leave the room. Narcan was administered, and she came back. The issue weāre having is after all their testing and monitoring, including keeping her overnight, there were zero opioids in her system. She did have cocaine in her system, but thatās it. Is it just a coincidence that the narcan was administered and she came back at the same time? Was it cpr that brought her back? Our other older sister (48) works as a RT and said she looked at all her lab work and is super perplexed. I guess Iām just looking for something to help work through what happened and the cause.

I've been a Shudder subscriber for a few years now, and when I don't have anything specific in mind, I just put on Shudder TV and let it run. If whatever's on doesn't engage me right away, I leave it for background as I do other things around the house. If it does hook me, I can look it up on search and watch from the beginning. It's a great feature, and I wish there were still more "channels" like there used to be. But I still get a lot out of it!

Hello everyone, so I've been driving manual for about 1.5 years and I've had the VB WRX for about 1 year. In that year, I was really focusing on getting the basics down and for the most part, I think I have accomplished that. I'm really good at taking off from a stop and I rarely ever stall, I can upshift smoothly, but downshifting is really stressing me out. I've read tons of advice on various reddit posts/forums and watched probably hundreds of driving videos online to learn how to downshift the "right" way. The thing is, nobody can agree on what the right way is.
I know that rev matching is recommended for overall longevity of the clutch, but I am not really comfortable doing it in day to day traffic. When I learned how to downshift initially, I found a video from a driving instructor over in Europe stating that you can simply select a lower gear, and slowly release the clutch up to the bite point and briefly hold it there to allow the clutch to raise the rpms and once that is completed, you fully release the clutch (this smooths out the shift pretty well and prevents the car from jolting). I have been using this technique for about a year and my car has about 11,000 miles on it and it drives fine without any issues. My concern is that the way I am downshifting the car is causing excessive wear but some people say my technique is fine and that I shouldn't worry about rev matching because the wear is normal. On the other hand, there is a group of people that firmly believe that if you don't rev match 24/7, you will burn up your clutch and cause it to fail prematurely.
The slower clutch release method where I briefly hold the clutch at the bite point to make the shift smooth seems to work for me and it is what I'm comfortable with and although I'm open to the idea of rev matching when I feel ready, I don't want to necessarily force myself into uncomfortable situations that could potentially compromise road safety. I guess my main question is that is the method where I release the clutch in a slower controlled fashion as catastrophic as some make it out to be and is the difference in clutch wear between the two methods really all that much? I'm essentially at the point where I'm debating on giving up with driving manual and switching to a different car since rev matching is difficult/stressful for me to do and if that is the only correct way to downshift, I don't know if I'll be able to get to the point where I am ready to try that due to the fear of damaging something from poorly rev matching or possibly losing control of the car. If anyone can provide some advice/tips or clarity on downshifting, it would be greatly appreciated. I'd really like to keep the car, but I'm at the point where driving is really stressful because a lot of the information I have read online has me convinced that I'm destroying my car and I really do try to take care of it and drive it the best I can. 2025.01.21 01:26 DonkConklin No red text but labeled stolen
I just joined the Companions and I noticed that after I was shown to the barracks a large amount of the food and books lying around are no longer red text. So I start taking this stuff thinking it's because I've joined and then I get a bounty and notice about half the stuff I've taken is marked stolen in the inventory. Is this a bug? How am I supposed to tell the difference beforehand?
