I (19,M) am a college student living at home. I commute to school by bus, I only drive to work and back home, and I don't really spend much money on myself. When I do spend money, it's either on my tuition (which I'm paying half), gym membership, or instrument rental payments, and that's just my "main money fund"
The "frivolous stuff" money fund is the amount of tips/birthday money I've saved up for 2 years now. It comes up to about $1000. Whenever I spend some of that fund on something stupid, as I'm supposed to, like in-game purchases or clothes, I still feel bad. Even when I'm not supposed to. This pool of money hasn't gone down in so long because I hardly spend for myself.
Money isn't tight for me. For someone my age I have a lot saved, but I guess that's because I'm so neurotic on how I spend my money for myself.
Is there any advice on how I can stop feeling this misery around buying things?

I was talking with another neighbor and they were saying that their child is suffering because of the influx of transient Brazilians.
She said: 1. Her teacher only dedicates half of her time to the actual lesson. 2. Second half, teacher gets a student who is bilingual and asks them to help out translating what she taught the other class. Which is crazy to me cause that’s like forcing a student to be a teacher’s aide. 3. Kids today are loud and unruly 4. Counselors are too busy to actually help the kids 5. The kids literally don’t care and they’re only here to practice their language while their real schooling is in Brazil 6. A lot of transient kids who leave mid year and enter each year.
Those are my neighbors words/experience.
This is from a A rated school system.
Just wondering if that’s what others are experiencing.

I need some help and I have no idea where to find answers so I’m posting here because you all seem lovely and I’m hoping maybe someone can help me. I’m 20 and I live in Australia and I’ve had my phone number for over 10 years now but on a weekly basis I get phone calls from call centres asking if this is Debbie. I haven’t got the slightest clue who Debbie is, I’m not Debbie, I’m not related to a Debbie, I don’t know a Debbie. I feel like someone has to be actively handing out my number under the name Debbie and I feel like surely you can’t be doing that be accident right?
I’m always super apologetic to the people who call because I’m kinda just a waste of their time, I still live at home so I’m not looking for a solar installation company. I know it’s a real stretch but is there anything I can do? Aside from just changing my number, it’s not a huge deal I guess, just a bit annoying and I’ve had a few people call up and get upset with me when I say I don’t know a Debbie. Generally I just won’t pick up the phone unless I’m expecting a call but when I am expecting a call and I pick up every phone call to be met with “hi is this Debbie?” It drives me a little crazy.

Hi everyone! I'm travelling to Vietnam on March, and I am planning to do the Da Lat Ultra Trail to end my trip. ☺️
I'll be coming from Ho Chi Minh and would like to end my trip with the trail race before I go back to HCM and fly back to Manila.
I wanted to take the flights instead of the sleeper bus so as not to be fatigued come race day, but I noticed that the Da Lat airport to Valley of Love area is about 40mins drive.
Is it possible to book this ride via Grab? If so, can anyone show me a screenshot of how much the trip would cost? I'm also looking into private transfers on Klook if the Grab ride is not possible.

recently got an admit for MS AI at NEU and was considering to confirm my admission and send an application for an ambitious univeristy for me. Was considering MS CS (ML spec) at GA Tech before but from what I gather competition for that is even more than MSA and with this I can still get more or less of a similar curriculum to get into data science/ML related jobs which is my field of interest.

Is there anything obvious I’m missing and should add? Don’t really know what I’m doing and don’t want a muscle group to go untrained as everything else gets stronger

Don’t get me wrong—I’m pretty salty about the cake thing. It was pretty messed up to tease the fans who are so eagerly waiting for Silksong to come out. Everyone’s annoyed enough as it is, considering we haven’t gotten updates for years at this point.
That being said, I think we all need to temper our expectations when it comes to Silksong. There’s a good chance it won’t be a great successor to Hollow Knight. It’s possible that Team Cherry has been radio silent because they haven’t quite cracked it yet. They might be struggling to find ways to “beat” Hollow Knight, which a lot of people consider the GOAT of Metroidvanias—and even gaming in general. Imagine the pressure they must be feeling. The last thing we all want is to end up in a Kingdom Hearts 3 situation, where the hype was huge, and the game let everyone down.
On the other hand, the longer we wait, the better the game could be. Like any piece of art or project, there’s always room for improvement. The more time Team Cherry spends refining it, the more satisfied we’ll be. Games like these really only get one shot to get it right. Once Silksong is out, that’s it—it’ll either become the new GOAT, be great, land somewhere in the middle, or disappoint. And we all want it to be great at least.
In the meantime, there are tons of good games to play right now. Nine Sols is an absolute masterpiece, and I highly recommend everyone check it out.
Anyway, just my thoughts—would love to hear yours!
