2025.01.21 01:41 Bulky-Factor5501 Left a candle on a fireplace, it melted and the wax kept smoking for 1-2 hrs and the house smells like waxy smoke. How to get rid of it???!
Honestly the stupidest thing I've ever done! I'm not that daft usually, but it was inside this oriental, dome-like tray and I just wanted to see how cool it looks on the tile fireplace, but I forgot to put it away. The wax melted and leaked inside the fireplace.
Anyways, even after almost 2 hrs of venting the whole house (all windows and front door opened) the smell is almost the same. I have a feeling it may be toxic (the candle had a golden patina/paint on it) and very not good to keep breathing it in.
I tried boiling vinegar, didn't do much. Thing is I can't vent the whole house for the night, it's 2°C outside, and also there's literally zero wind.
Besides buying a fan tomorrow, what can I do remove the awful smell?

2025.01.21 01:41 Best-Reality6718 This past weekends cheese. I’m a bit worried about it.
 | It’s a Layden inspired cheese. I feel like I lost more butter fat in the make than usual and I’m not sure why. I used raw milk and reduced the rennet by just a bit. The milk took an hour to coagulate which isn’t ideal but not terrible. Had a good set when I cut the curds, and let them heal for about 7 minuted before I started stirring. Everything was as normal. Curds didn’t shatter and cooked well. But I had a sheen of butter fat floating on top at the end. And the mold was a little greasier than normal when pressing the cheese. I did press under whey at the start. Had nice clear whey draining throughout the pressing. Just odd. Didn’t feel oily this morning when I flipped it, so maybe it’s fine. I just got home from a 16 hour shift and I have to wake up in 4 hours to go back and do it again with the possibility of being stuck at work until Wednesday. I wouldn't mind having someone cool to chat with and get to know.

I'm a 32 year old guy from Texas. I have a full time career in law enforcement and I've been doing that 6 years now. I have tons of tattoos and love anything tattoo related. I'm hoping to get more soon. I'm 6'2 with glasses. I'm kind of nerdy. I play games on my PC in my spare time or ride my motorcycle to a quiet bar and read a book on my phone. I love going on road trips or traveling. I have a few road trips planned this year for concerts. I've been single about 3 years now. No kids and never married.
I'm not really looking for anything specific and I'm pretty open minded. I don't care if you're single, married, have kids, no kids, or whatever. I just want someone cool to talk to and get to know and maybe make friends with. If it turns in to more I'm definitely open to that. I'm open to trading pics after we're comfortable too. I'm not a super picky guy when it comes to physical looks and I like personality way more.

Guess what I’m making room for a little bonus unexpected review. Liquid Death Sparkling Water Rootbeer Wrath. I read that Liquid Death was lighter carbonated than many other brands of sparkling water so that sounded good. Yep indeed that’s true. The flavor is very weak like I suspected typical of sparkling waters so ultimately I give it a 👎 I almost didn’t find it at my local Target as it was at the back of the store in a seasonal limited time section.
