Hello Cal Poly SLO Reddit:
My 17-year-old son (4.0 GPA and will have completed 8 dual enrollment classes/5 AP's when applying next fall) is interested in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. It is too early to tell whether he would go on to earn a CPA, which I would recommend. He is agnostic about leaving home for college. I am assuming that he will NOT get into UC Berkeley or UCI given the competition and low acceptance rates.
I understand that Cal Poly SLO is considered a more prestigious school than Sac State, even though the curriculum is almost the exact same when it comes to business administration with a concentration in accounting degree. The tuition cost for 3 1/2 years at Sac State would be $28,000, excluding commute costs (we live about 10 miles away from the school). In contrast, Cal Poly SLO would cost about $122,500 for 3.5 years, which includes room and board according to the website, assuming he could get all his classes and graduate on time.
When doing a cost/benefit analysis, it seems foolish to spend an extra $94,500 for Cal Poly SLO over Sac State for the exact same business/accounting degree based on perceived "prestige" factor.
I would appreciate any opinions irrespective of whether he goes on to earn a CPA license. Do people think Cal Poly SLO is $94,500 more prestigious than Sacramento State for a business/accounting degree?

I found a blue marble under my bed when I was six. It wasn’t mine, or my sisters, and it wasn’t my parents. It must have belonged to the people who lived there before us. It was cold in my hand. I stood by the window and held it to my eyes as daylight washed through, lighting up the faint swirls encrusted inside, creating a prismatic rainbow. It looked like a path to some heaven within. I decided it was mine.
The next day I took it to school, fumbling it in my pocket as I sat in my chair. I’d take it out and look at it under the table, then slip it back in. I couldn’t get over its beauty, it felt like I owned some eternal treasure, like the ruby stone in Mrs Hillier’s necklace, fluttering with light as she stood before the class.
Then I took it out again, and a ball of crumpled paper hit my arm. I turned to see Barney looking at the marble, gesturing that I chuck it to him. I turned away and stuffed it back in my pocket.
That was the last time I took it out. After class, while I walked down the hallway, Barney pushed me against the wall, pressed his forearm against my chest, and took it from my pocket.

This is just a general question for anyone who has had a recent experience or previous experience with Portal0. From my general investigation it looks as if it is a legit website. I did place an order it looks like it is on the way. I have a bunch of codes for bits and Hells Chains, anyone know if they can do them in batches or is it like 1 at a time? Also if anyone knows when the current Beys for both JP and HK get swapped out I don't really want these codes to expire before I use them.

How do I kill them. I've been seeing little white worms. I saw them in my prop box at first. Then I saw them in the dirt of my monstera albo prop. It used to have some roots but I dug it up and it had absolutely no roots. Not even rotten ones. I threw out it's dirt but how do I kill these things??

I need to apply to some jobs due to me possibly being let go from company I work at now, and I need some advice on which direction I should go.
The job was initially a hybrid role of half lab work and half data management/coding work. It was my first job, so I didn't really know what I liked and didn't like. Turns out, I don't like doing lab work and preferred the data management/coding a lot more, so I've been slowly transitioning away from the lab and into the office more. I've been using MATLAB mostly, and I've created a few scripts and apps that automate some processes for the people working in the lab, but I don't have extensive enough experience in MATLAB that would land me a job just working with that. I also have experience in R and a little in Python, but again, not enough to fully land me a job.
I guess I'm asking what job titles I can search that will give me the job where I can do this kind of data work while still being in some kind of biological field.
I've been working at this company for about a year now (~1 year of total experience), I have a Masters in Biotech, and I live in Cambridge, MA (I don't need to stay here, but I know it's easier for companies if a candidate is local instead of having to fly them in).

crazy how often a player runs into my room 6+ seconds after I invis and just W keys straight at me and stabs me in the face. Comedic just because watching these players play pretend they dont know by swinging twice at the air and then bolting at you is funny AF.
