2025.01.21 02:13 Raymont_Wavelength Unable to copy files from old XP PC to Samsung T7 SSD 2TB
 | I am taking from a very old PC that belonged to a family member. It has IDE drives and running XP Pro 2002 SP3. For copying the files for posterity, I bought a Samsung T7 SSD with backwards compatible USB. I can see the drive appear in ‘my computer’ but it doesn’t seem to show ‘available open space’ in Properties pie chart for the drive. Also for example I cannot give the drive a name by typing it in. Nothing by happens. This acts different than say a smaller WD Passport HDD drive. Is the portable 2TB Samsung SSD not compatible with this old machine? Is the capacity too large to be identified by the XP and file system? This is not my area of speciality, clearly :) so any and all info and spoon feeding welcome! 2025.01.21 02:13 methy_butthole My dog has great recall out in the real world, on a hike off leash she will come sprinting when I call. On my property (her yard) however she flat out refuses to listen to me until I have called her 10+ times and with my voice having escalated to the meanest angriest voice I can do. Help?
Asking here because dogadvice is anti e-collar. We have trained for 3 years, she is great out in public and when she has her e-collar on in her yard. Without it she is a complete dick. Even if she is just 20 feet away from me and I call her, she will look at me, get this cocky look on her face, and decide NO she is not going to listen. She is being stubborn, she knows what I want.
I literally have to yell bloody murder with my voice sounding like I can going to beat her if she doesn’t come. I would never beat her, but my neighbors probably think I do based on that angry voice I have to do. this inspired the post because my neighbor came to their window to see what all the yelling was about, and I am embarrassed. She has a three acre yard to run around on, but she needs to listen to me when I call her. She ran over onto the neighbors property to chase some birds, and would Absolutely not listen to me to come back.
This is causing an issue between us because when I have to escalate to the angry voice to finally get her to listen, she gets a little intimidated or almost scared, and will finally come back in a tail-between-the-legs sort of way. She’s upset, I am upset, it’s not working. I don’t want to yell at my dog, I don’t want to do the angry voice, I don’t want my neighbors to have to hear this. Do I have any choice other than not letting her leave the house without an E-collar on? Please help because this is hurting our relationship.
