Context: happily married in a HCOL area. Wife and I are both in our early 30’s. Have about $2m invested, mortgage is about $6k and we are relatively frugal so total expenses including mortgage is around $13k monthly.
I’m an executive at a later stage startup and have been on the grind for 2 years. Wife works in tech and pulls in 60% of our 500k HHI (not including my startup paper equity).
I’ve been with the company through two rounds of funding, working long hours and most weekends. We likely have another round coming in 6 months, with a major step-up in valuation and a chance at a secondary. I’ll have around $1.5m vested and another $1.5 unvested at that point.
These two years have taken its toll on me. I find myself sleeping poorly, stressing on weekends and in unpredictable moods. I’ve gained some weight and lack energy. We both travel for work and I find myself extremely homesick when I’m gone, and lethargic when she’s gone.
My plan is to just gut it out until the liquidity event in 6 months then readjust my role or take a multi-month pause. I likely won’t be able to access the secondary sale if I walk away but thinking about 6 more months just sounds painful. Should I consider just walking away right now?

Sounds hella anti consumer to me. If you want customer support, you have to abide by their new authorization process aka anti 3rd party firmware(standard mode). Yet if you choose to use your printer over LAN, the same way you do today (developer mode) , they will deny you customer support, which also means denying you a warranty. As you need customer support to enact your warranty.
And yet some delusional people here this this is okay? Imagine buying a product and being told you can use it however you want, but then said company pulls a 180 and says now using it the way you want to means no customer support or warranty.

Today I recently found out I get a free 15 dollars for 5 guys every month for my credit card. I ordered a cheeseburger which was almost 15 dollars! No fries because the expense. The cheese burger is actually a double meat w cheese. It was okay; I couldn’t even finish it. The wrapper came oil and I feel pretty greasy now. in terms of quality it has no comparison to in n out. I didn’t feel like it lived the hype. I would never use my own cash to get 5 guys.
I usually eat in n out 1-2 times a month. Double double with grilled onions and extra lettuce and tomato and regular fries. My fav. Also under 10 for my usual order.

I just listened to the full podcast after the spotify music album a couple times and loved it! I didn't realize how many years old this was. I'm just gonna write my thoughts here for the record after my first listen.
-Judith: I see a lot of hate for Judith and I definitely understand why, but I'm personally someone who believes people can change and Judith is a perfect example of this. From the start, Judith was very wrong to lie to Jace about her identity and past, and that alone is full grounds for Jace breaking up with her. That being said, after Judith meets Jace she is clearly a great match for Jace and genuinely a kind person and loves who she is around him. I think she is right to try and make it right afterwards with the questions and being true to Jace, although she should have done that earlier. Although she genuinely wishes she can get back with Jace, she would also be okay with him leaving as long as she gets her true self out (for which Jace doesnt let her). I don't see Judith as being super manipulative or gaslighted after their breakup, and act 3 shows her maturity in the subtext deeply. I'm not entirely sure if she would want to get together with Jace again at the end (we dont know what she's been up to), but her changes lead me to believe she would rather not. My belief is that she goes by Natalie at the end because she thinks that's who she truly is and doesn't go back to her old ways.
-Jace: Jace is actually a more complex character for me, and that might be because I relate to his personality more. Jace was right to leave after Judith lied about everything, and it wouldn't be objectively wrong to never speak with her again. That being said, it's clear that Jace still loves Judith and wants closure. Jace was a jerk to leave Judith at the motel, and should have showed more maturity to finish the questions (instantly forgiving her and kissing her after she apologized was too fast, and that was obvious from the result), leaving Judith abandoned. Act 3 shows the effects of him still having love for Judith, and I think at the diner he genuinely is hoping they can get back together. Jace should have faced Judith sooner to get closure, whether that be getting back together or not.
The music was great and I loved Henry. My favorite song was definitely our word with a better version coming close 2nd. That's my rant!

Costco Teamsters, the union with 18,000 employees for the retailer nationwide, said 85% of members voted to approve the action. The current contract between the Teamsters and the wholesaler is set to expire Jan. 31.
“Costco’s greedy executives have less than two weeks to do the right thing,” Sean O’Brien, general president of Teamsters, said in a statement. “If they refuse, they’ll have no one to blame but themselves when our members go on strike.”
A strike could hamper day-to-day operations at the well-known retailer. It could also impact public sentiment around Costco, which has become known for its positive treatment of workers and, more recently, as a defender of diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Teamsters will negotiate for a final week with Costco, the union wrote in an X post on Sunday. The union ran practice pickets in preparation for a potential strike last week in locations including San Diego and Long Island, New York.
