2025.01.21 02:10 BendYaSoul Mini DV Camcorder Suddenly Loosening Tape from Cassette
I’ve encountered an issue with my Mini DV camcorder. Just a few hours ago, it was playing tapes perfectly. However, now when I insert a Mini DV cassette, the tape (the video ribbon inside the cassette) becomes loose and unwinds from the cassette. The tape isn’t damaged, it simply comes out of the cassette housing.
Has anyone experienced this problem before? What could be causing this sudden malfunction, and are there any recommended solutions?
I’m lowkey stressing out. I got this secondhand camcorder today and just wanted to look at, and digitalize some childhood video’s :(

I've (23f) been wanting to join the military ever since inaantay namin petition para makapunta ng USA. but when I arrived, I delayed joining kasi takot ako. After a year, napag-isip-isip ko na mas better magjoin para sa job security at para sa future ko.
But I'm afraid my partner (23m) won't be able to accept/adapt to these changes lalo na't mawawalan kami ng constant communication for atleast 2 months (bootcamp). He's still in college and pangarap ko na makapunta rin siya dito sa US - which is mapapabilis kung magjoin ako ng Marines. Yun nga lang, kelangan kong magsakripisyo, at kailangan niya rin.

It's hard to find women/men my age who want to date within our age range. Most seem to prefer dating someone 5–10+ years older. I don't want to date someone who just turned 18, like many guys my age do, and I’m not interested in dating 20yr olds as a 30yr old.

I was thinking of getting a snail for my tank and I was at the pet store for some root tabs and figured I’d just get one while I was there fully forgetting about my last water parameter test. I tested it right now while he’s in the bag acclimating but the nitrites are at 1ppm which is more than the day before. My tank is 5 gallons and has been cycling for a little less than a week (I know, far too early for any creatures) but my other parameters have been fine. Is it likely the nitrite will keep spiking and putting the snail in is certain death? Or will the snail be fine? Any advice would be appreciated and please don’t flame me for getting the snail early I know it was a mistake 🙏. Thanks!

2025.01.21 02:10 neocodex87 Anyone else feeling the buzz from pure black (espresso) MUCH stronger than in latte?
I know that in theory adding milk should slow down caffeine absorption, but.. by this much? I can barely feel it (I'm making lattes with OL Atelier).
If I drink the same espresso straight, the buzz hits immidiate and strong, but I can barely tell I drank coffee if I make a latte - I can have 2 or even 3 and I still won't feel as buzzed as I am just from one direct shot.
It will also sometimes irritate my stomach if I drink it straight black, it's why I always prefer with milk specially in the mornings, but it's really not hitting when milk is added. So strange.
That's why I use big Vertuo pods in morning (also making huge lattes) but that works just by quantity alone. With OL it's more like by the time I make the third, the absorption seems so slow and inefficient the first one is already gone by the time I make the next.
Anyone else getting this?

Hello a little introduction of my situation: I am a 3rd year undergrad student, I did very poorly in my first 3 semesters, we had a total of 4 major papers and I had an average GPA of 6.5/10, these were mostly introductory courses like Introductory Micro and Macroeconomics and Introductory statistics. Since the 4th Sem we are having 4 major papers per semester, I'm in my 6th semester now and my GPA across 8 major papers is 9.625/10 which include courses like Econometrics 1 and 2, Intermediate Micro and Macroeconomics and Advanced Microeconomics.
I know my overall CGPA on the basis of 15 papers will be dented by my poor grades in the first 4 papers but will admissions officers give weightage to the fact that I tried and improved my grades for the larger part, despite slacking off in the initial semesters?
