2025.01.21 03:21 chocolatetherapy012 Lost my boy yesterday with no warning
My cat who I’ve had for almost 9 years passed away last night with virtually no warning. I noticed his breathing seemed more rapid. He was not hiding and he was cuddling with our other cat when I just happened to notice while we were watching tv. We immediately took him to the emergency vet where they took X-rays and didn’t see any fluid in lungs or around heart. They gave him a diuretic and we brought him home to monitor him for the next few hours, knowing we could bring him back in to be put on oxygen and have other interventions. 30 minutes after he arrived home he lost control of his bladder (we initially thought this was the diuretic) and started panting which he had not done at that point. My husband rushed him back to the hospital 20 minutes away. He drove as fast as he could since he started meowing and sounding distressed. He ran inside and handed him off to a vet and parked the car. By the time he arrived inside the room my poor boy had passed. We are distraught. He was acting normally in the morning but we can’t help but feel like we must have missed something. We are first time parents with a 7 week old and so naturally most of our attention has been on her and less on our pets the last few weeks. I feel so incredibly guilty for not hospitalizing him but I honestly thought we could monitor him at home and bring him to our local vet first thing in the morning. He seemed uncomfortable but not hiding, I helped him up to his usual spot in our window. 30 minutes later he was gone from our lives. He was the most sweet boy and was best friends with our other cat and our dog. I don’t know what I’m going to do. I’ve never felt grief like this. I can’t eat and I need to eat as I’m breastfeeding our daughter. I’m in so much pain and seeing my husband break down intensified everything. I was so happy with our family of 6 and now our boy is gone. I feel numb around my daughter when she made me do happy before. I know I’ll grieve for a long time but I can’t endure this level of grief another minute. Sorry for my rambling I just needed to put this somewhere.

Hey! I’m new to the world of betta keeping and I just had my fish of almost 8 months die a couple of days ago due to what I think is ammonia poisoning. I did put in two Otto’s with him, could that have contributed to the ammonia spike? If I did have a spike, what’s the best way to go about getting my levels back to normal? Thanks!

Hello! LibreELEC does not seem to be recognizing my network adapter. I SSH'd in and here's what I find for my card:
LibreELEC:~ # lspci | grep Network 04:00.0 Network controller: MEDIATEK Corp. MT7922 802.11ax PCI Express > Wireless Network AdapterIt's the card that comes with the ROG Strix 8550-F
I can access the network when I connect via Ethernet, but it doesn't seem to give me the option to try to connect via WiFi
LibreELEC:~ # dmesg | grep wlanReturns nothing
Hoping someone can help me understand what/if there's anything I can do to get my driver recognized and running in this system.

 | Took delivery of my 2024 Santa Fe Calligraphy Hybrid. I love almost everything about it, except the 20 inch wheels. I’ll be shopping for 18’s and some better tires. I’ve also prefer the spare tire mount so I can slide a spare underneath. I was sad, but traded in my 4Runner, just couldn’t bear that horrible gas mileage and my aging dog had a hard time getting in and out of it.
