I haven’t seen anyone talk about this and I only just realized it after my 6th playthrough. When you are hanging out with a confidant, and you get music notes, sometimes, there are little star particle effects. After some closer examination, They only appear if you will be able to rank up the next time you hang out. I noticed this most easily when hanging with Kasumi. When there were no stars, the next day she didn’t rank up. When there were stars, she ranked up the next time we hung out.
Is this news to some people or am I just SUPER unobservant? Realizing it actually was SUPER helpful when hanging out with teammates. If they didn’t get the stars, I would take them to the jazz club that night so they would rank the next time we hung out!

People already know about the obvious connection of both episodes documenting how the trio first came to stack -- the movie being the first instance but in a chaotic accident while the basket ball episode being the first time it's intentionally coordinated.
However, there is yet another detail that I see little mentioned, namely Ice Bear's reaction of hiding his face when Panda and Grizz starts to have a fallout over a heated argument.
In the movie, he buries his head in dirt when the two older brothers start to argue when they were turned away at the Canadian border.
In the episode, he turns his helmet backwards to hide his face when the two starts arguing over each others shortcomings.
This is a common trauma response in children when parents (or equivalent parental figures) argue and occasionally carries in some form into adulthood as certain idiosyncrasies, especially those of the more introverted disposition like Ice Bear.
I think it's a pretty neat detail that the show creators added as a nod of Ice Bear's characterization.

I'm looking for a functioning microcassette player for some important recordings. I have 4 microcassettes recorded with a voice recorder when I was a kid. From what I remember they have recordings of family members telling stories at family parties and me interviewing people. I want to listen to the recordings of my now deceased dad but I'm afraid they won't be there or I've damaged them with random magnets at some point. I've been putting off listening to them for a while now. What I'm actually trying to prevent is my old old voice recorder from radio shack, eating the tape when I listen to them now. I'd be willing to do the mail order service but I'm really too nervous sending the only copies I have in the mail. I think I need to just do it myself.

 | (This is an idea of mine that is probably gonna sound like fan fiction cause it is ♡) The name of the game is Animal Crossing: Concrete Jungle You open the game on a Subway car where you can see a gruff old black labrador wearing a blue tarpaulin bag for a shirt. He he looks over at you with a grin and decides to sit down next to you. He introduces himself as Brandon and rambles on about how travel is his life, and people are too uptight, "...but you seem fine." He says he can tell by the look on your face that you are moving somewhere new ♡ you can continue this conversation as long as you want, but every once in a while the train will stop and you'll have a chance to check a train guide to see if this is where you want to stop. If you don't, you can get a nice conversation with Brandon "Someone called me a vagrant, but, I'll have you know, my rants are very specific", "Someone told me to sit once so I've been here ever since!", etc. When you finally find the right spot, Brandon hears the muffled announcement and asks what it said (you can name the city) Then when you tell him it's time to leave he insists you have to make the right impression, so just describe what you wanna look like (You can customize your character ♡ Three body types and heights are available too!) When you get off at the Subway Station you see that you look nothing like what you described!! You look horrible!! Isabelle sees you and decides she simply must help you because you must be down on your luck just from how you look. She has an apartment she never uses (because she's always at work), so she decides to let you stay at her house! You take a shower and freshen up to look like your happy healthy avatar ♡ Isabelle is very busy so she has to go, but she tells you to try to find a job and make some friends! From this point on, I'll just describe how this game operates! The city has randomly generated roads and plots of land some alleyways, and apartments. Many of the lots are filled with trash and things aren't doing so well because Isabelle is the only one in her whole office! You have to pick up litter and recycle for bells, and you can collect books to donate to the Public Library! Every Villager has a schedule, and some even have jobs around town! You can learn their schedule so you know how to find them easier as you become better friends ♡ Isabelle will only let you stay at her house until you have enough bells to afford your own. The nearby stores will pay you for cleaning up their parking lots so you can expect bells in the mail when you pick up their litter and put it in the right places ♡ When you finally get an apartment, you can customize it however you want! If you dont play your game for a while, your Landlord Lyle will assume you abandoned it, and stop the maintenance, so you will lose power, you won't have water, and cockroaches will start to infest your home. When this happens, you just need to send some money to let him know you're around ♡ You can vote with your neighbors on what you want most for your town, and if you talk to them every day, you can convince them to vote for what you want, as long as you talk to over half of them, you will definitely win ♡ You can work part-time jobs where you play mini-games for serving customers at a restaurant, restock fast at a store, or even sort mail! You only do it once per day though cause you don't want to overwork yourself! My friend wants me to write a program that takes raw data in the form of an nba game play by play and output the amount of free throws made by each player and the timestamp that each free throw occurred at, I’ve only been coding in java for a couple months so I’m unsure how to go about it, if you have any advice or way to do it I would greatly appreciate it. So far the main problems are detecting the names of players and storing all the values for them, and formatting the data that gets inputted so it can properly have the data within it detected.

Over his years of involvement with numerous search and rescue operations at several different National Parks, he had detected a trend that he couldn’t understand.So...now it's a male ranger who worked at "several" different National Parks in SAR ops, and THE RANGER detected the trend?
The Ranger explained that during the first seven to 10 days of a disappearance he would witness massive search and rescue activity and significant press coverage. Following this initial weeklong effort there was almost always an immediate halt to the coverage, a discontinued search for the victims and no explanation from the search authorities.I will take "things that didn't happen for $1000". First, it's not unusual for the first seven to ten days of investigation/search to be the most significant. Mainly because there's a finite window for how long humans can survive without particular necessities. Saying that there's an "almost always an immediate halt" to "coverage" doesn't mean a halt to an investigation. "Almost always...a discontinued search and no explanation"? Yes, David. When a person has not been found, there isn't an explanation because speculating and fabricating a narrative to satiate the appetites of conspiracy theorists is lousy police work.
It bothered David enough that he began asking questions yet he got no answers. So he conducted research. What he discovered shocked him. People of all ages have been disappearing from National Parks and forests at an alarming rate, all under similar circumstances. Victims’ families are left without closure and the Park Service refuses to follow up or keep any sort of national list and/or database of the missing people. A) started raising funds and people to continue searching?
B) joined a SAR unit or became an advocate for victims?

Also, I like how, in 2024, he still states that there is no list of the missing and insinuates that it would be the National Park Service's job to keep such a list.
David’s instincts told him this was a story that needed to be told. He devoted six years to investigating missing people in rural areas. The result? The identification of 52 geographical clusters of missing people in North America.LOL. Six whole years, huh? 52 clusters? Clusters of what? I guess we should be happy that this article doesn't mention granite, weather, berries, and water.
