Hi friends!
Long story short, attending The Masters and walking those hallowed grounds has been on my bucket list since I was a kid. Now that I am hopefully having a kid of my own in the near future, I decided it's time to check this box on the bucket list, ahead of the impending chaos (and the time requirements) of child rearing. I booked a hotel, rented a car and bought a plane ticket.
Only thing is...I don't have a ticket yet. I lined up the trip to attend the Thursday round (hoping to see Tiger walk at full strength). I've been training for the last 10 or so years to become a pediatric emergency medicine doctor and you can probably guess, money isn't exactly flowing easily right now.
Not asking for charity, but does anyone have any connections with someone who has Thursday tickets? Even avoiding the insane service fees would be a tremendous help.
Love this community and hope to see a few of your in less than 100 days!

2025.01.22 00:38 Unlikely-Outcome-299 How to deal with the feeling you will never find someone like them?
Recently my ex decided to broke up with me due to she considered we were not a compatible couple.
We were together for almost 1,5 year. We started really fast, she was really lovely, funny and demostrated all her love for me and I also for her. She had problems with her abusive family, also had anger issues causing her to explode really fast, treating me bad, never being empathic and telling me that I cried for everything, in those cases to avoid more problems I kept in silence. Also she made me feel like I always had the fault, always said "cannot wait to end this shit" referring to the relationship, I do accept at the beginning I lacked some serious things but I improved a lot for her (never enough tho).
She had a lot of complains but we talked, at the end was solved, not perfect, we were happy but always the same issue, she never liked anything, was really harsh. Both said we wanted to marry each other. Due to her family situation she moved in with me and we started living together. For the college, her work and her emotional situation she was really busy and stressed basically leaving the house at 6am and coming back at 8 or 9pm, also I had my job and classes but was more relaxed so helped her everything I could: Doing the laundry, doing some or almost all her homework, picking her up, helping with her dog (some days her family having it some days us).
Her situation got really bad (college, family), mentioned had some serious su1cidal thoughts so decided to move out to live alone. I was still helping her with the dog but 2 months later she decided to finish everything.
She said were never compatible, and in general was never happy with me (as I said, she demonstrated a lot of love throughout the relationship, in many ways). I know I failed, I could've improved more but I gave her my all and it was not enough.
I know she already moved on, I feel terrible. She was everything to me, was beautiful, funny, adorable and more. How do you get over the feeling that you might never find a better person?
Thanks a lot, I feel I won't be able to get over her and this feeling. I feel so guilty even when I know I did my best.

2025.01.22 00:38 OmgSlayKween We need to get something straight. Using the portal and your PlayStation on the same network (at home) WILL NOT use the internet to stream. Your ISP download/upload speeds have nothing to do with the quality of your local connection to your Playstation.
So often I see people asking about internet speeds or telling people to upgrade their internet when they’re actually using the portal on their home network. Stop telling people to spend money on something that won’t change their experience.
If you have a bad connection to your ps5 while on the same network, hardwire your ps5 if possible. Create a separate wifi network just for the portal if possible. Test 5ghz compared to 2.4ghz.
But for the love of God stop worrying about your pipe to the outside internet. That only matters if you play outside your home and the type of connection is more important than the speed. Fiber internet at 15mbps upload would be a much better experience than 5g at 100mbps upload.

I’m a uni student and I was living with my parents until very recently. My father had suspected that my religious views have changed due to some of the things I said in previous discussions. I never told him I left Islam but I displayed some skepticism. I came home on my birthday last month and I saw him browsing my laptop. The moment he saw me, he told me to wait for him in office. He yelled and called me an embarrassment to the family. He even said “you know some fathers would kill their sons for something like that right?” I tried to calm him down and as soon as he went to bed, I packed my backpack and left. I moved to a different city and have been staying at a shelter for over a month now. All of that is sad but I was coping with it decently well until this past weekend. I always sleep while holding on to my backpack as it contains all my essentials. I woke up on Saturday and couldn’t find it. It was stolen. It contained my eye glasses, phone, laptop, etc …
I informed the reception desk but they told me since there isn’t a camera in that room, it’s impossible for them to help. I’ve worn glasses since I was 6. I truly can’t live without them. My eyesight is severely damaged and I struggle to see fairly large objects without my glasses. I almost got hit by a car whilst crossing the road last night, my vision is that bad. It’s been by far the toughest period of my life and it just got a lot worse. I can’t stop thinking about ending it.

 | In response to this post from a while back, https://www.reddit.com/terrariums/s/6b4JLTyQm4 I did some experimenting. This was with a tissue culture pot of Eleocharis parvula — a lower-growing, grass-like species. This plant had never been grown under water. I put it in a simple high-humidity terrarium with two other typical aquarium plants: Hydrocotyle tripartita, which had been grown partially submerged but not completely underwater, and a Cryptocoryne that had been growing completely under water. This is four weeks later. The cryptocoryne is struggling but still alive and I hope will eventually adjust. The other two plants are doing well. Hydrocotyle is a relatively common terrarium and paludarium plant so no surprise there. Don’t know if anyone else has more experience with Eleocharis, but it seems like, depending on humidity and moisture levels (both are high here, and so is light), Eleocharis parvula seems to be a feasible grass-like option. submitted by Liminal67 to terrariums [link] [comments] |
