I’m a fed with 5 years of experience across two different agencies. I started as a student trainee in late 2019, was converted to a full permanent position in late 2021, and worked there until late 2023 when I accepted a position in the PMF program. I’m in that position now, which I understand to be probationary and also under the excepted service if I recall correctly. Because all PMFs are in probation for their time, will my name end up on the OPM list?

2025.01.22 00:22 Fauxdiophile Anyone else feel like Spatialize Stereo corrects the EQ a bit?
So the AirPods Max has a definite soft dip in the high end that I’ve always noticed. It’s not explicitly bad, but it is a bit softer on the high end compared to my studio headphones for example. But it seems to my ears anyway, that whenever I listen to stereo music on Apple Music with the spatialize stereo feature turned on, the high end really seems to come back, along with doing the virtual stereo environment thing it tries to simulate.
Honestly, I find the spatialize stereo feature so good now that I almost never turn it off, only really to compare the difference between the normal mix and the “enhanced stereo” version that you get with the spatialize stereo feature. But yes, it really seems like in that mode the bass is tastefully enhanced and the high end dip around 4-7khz seems to go away. Anyone else hearing this or is it just me? It really makes the listening experience more satisfying.

As the title states. My wife has 100k points deposited. It just came through today, but shows a date of 12/31. The points say “Points Purchase Promo Bonus.”
My wife is adamant she didn’t buy them. I want to make sure we shouldn’t be suspicious of a nefarious cause. Could this be evidence of some sort of fraud? We don’t see charges on credit cards.
Is this just a Marriott mistake? Anyone else ever have this happen?

So I’m a 21 year old autistic man working towards a psychiatric service dog. I’m currently hoping to get a Lab, Goldie, or a Poodle puppy from a breeder who’s been able to produce service dog prospects in the past.
I’m finally at a point with my own place and a stable job and funds where I’d like to be able to start training a service dog, but a lot of the breeders I’ve been referred to in the state are currently inactive, or they do not feel comfortable with homing a dog for the purpose of service work
This is the hardest part of the process for me, I’ve already found some training programs and individuals with experience giving me some great advice, and I’ve spent the last 2 years researching and preparing. But for some reason locating a breeder has been a draining process.
I know there’s probably a list of resources, but clicking through inactive links has been somewhat stressful, so I’m hoping to find people who have some experience in this area specifically, thank you for reading

I had an ACE exam January 14 and they still haven’t sent my DBQ over says they are waiting on the signature from the examiner and to call back Friday. How long does it usually take? I’ve had all my C&P exams go through QTC and they were always uploaded next day or two. Has anybody had to wait this long and were they outcomes favorable?

I am looking for a car that can take me and my friends biking and on trips comfortably. It would be great to fit two bikes on the back and two on top.
I don't use a car to commute, so end up driving twice a week. I put maybe 4000 miles on my car per year.
I've been looking at the 2017-2020 crosstrek, 2017 and 2020 cx5, and 2008, 2009, and 2013-15 Lexus Rx-350. What I really want is a perfectly maintained 2009 Rx-350 with a black interior or a ~2018 crosstrek that isn't $20k. I'm astonished at the price of the crosstrek for an economy car, but it is the size I want. Hard to find one with black leather seats under $20k with less than 90k miles.
I want a car that is likely to have no issues. I just want to maintain it. I've had a 2014 Ford Focus for 8 years and it has been a constant worry about it breaking and never really being able to trust it due to the transmission issues.
The smaller, the better. I'd like AWD and some clearance, just enough to take on steep forest service roads without worrying about damaging the car.
Is there anything I am missing? Any other cars to consider?
