To preface, I’ve put a lot of thought into my situation but do need some reassurance that I am making the right choice here.
I have a cat, he’s turning 6 in February. He’s literally my whole world and my best friend. I adopted him with my ex in May of 2022. When my ex and I separated, I kept the cat because we were very clearly bonded and he is also my ESA. My cat is extremely sociable and loving to everyone, but even when my ex and I were living together he showed a clear preference to me. I’m not sure if this is because I WFH and was around him more or not, but either way, we became close fast.
Fast forward to now, I live alone with my cat and I am in a pretty bad situation. My mental health is at its lowest point in years, and I’m really struggling to get by. I’ve remained living alone because of my cat - if I could move home to my family, I would, but my dad is very allergic. Unfortunately, this has taken a pretty big toll on me, and I’m kind of at a point where I need to take action.
I reached out to my ex recently about my cat, and asked if he would be willing to take care of him if I moved home to get my footing. He said yes, but he wouldn’t want it to be a temporary thing as he believes my cat belongs to me and is my ESA after all. I am very appreciative of him being supportive of this. But this wouldn’t be a short term arrangement, and he is aware of that. I am thinking that I would need to move home and stay there for a year or potentially a bit more to get my mental and physical health sorted and save up some money to buy a home/condo. My ex still agreed and said it would be nice to have my cat around. I told him I would cover food, vet stuff, toys, etc. since I know he’s in a tight spot for money and I’m just grateful that my cat would have a familiar face and safe home.
So, as far as rehoming, does this situation make sense? Or is this not the best choice? I feel awful parting ways with my cat temporarily. I am only considering it due to the opportunity to get him back when I am more stable. I under no circumstances would put my cat in a shelter or give him away hastily to a stranger. I just want to make sure I am making the right choice here.
My ex does not work from home, so I am also worried my cat will get lonely. I am willing to buy him literally every toy on the planet to keep him entertained while I am away. But I know that doesn’t eliminate the potential loneliness he might feel.
Please give me any advice or consideration that you can for this situation. I would really appreciate kindness and understanding because this is a very difficult situation for me. Thanks.

Hello, I filed my taxes on 1/15 and pretty quickly got approved for a refund advance. I got the email for it, signed a bunch of paperwork related to getting approved, they even had me open a Credit Karma bank account in anticipation of my deposit. Today my return got accepted, and after waiting a few hours I called curious why my advance hadn’t been deposited. They told me I am in fact NOT approved and will not be receiving an advance. They didn’t really provide any additional information what changed or why they approved me and then took back that approval. I just feel very frustrated that this has happened and it doesn’t seem like there’s much I can do. Is there anything I can do? Does anyone have any tips or words of advice?

2025.01.22 00:27 Omini3 Should I buy Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy on Steam if I have already seen/been spoiled about all of the 1st game and partway through the 3rd case of JFA? Should I buy a different Ace Attorney game, such as Ace Attorney Investigations Collection, which I haven't seen, instead?
As mentioned above, I have seen much of this game, mainly through lets-plays and such. In fact, I have seen all of JFA in the past, though I don't remember much apart from everything until after the 1st trial of case 3 (the circus one) of JFA andthe whole Maya kidnapping thing, though I don't remember how it's resolvedin the last case. I also don't remember anything from T&T, though I remember watching it at some point because I remember some characters (I'm unsure if I finished it, so assume I haven't seen any of T&T). I do really love what I've seen of Phoenix Wright though, but I don't know if I want to pay £30 ($37.04) for it. According to steamdb though, the historical low, and probably the price for the next big sale, is around £10 ($12.35). Is it worth stopping the watching of lets-plays until case 3 of JFA, or is it not worth it/should I buy something else instead?
