 | So i bought this because someone told me it was a good starter synth. But it’s just a midi controller? Or am i wrong. Anyway i got it new out the box from a dude on ebay, and i tried using it in ableton, vcv rack, the most i can do is midi map. The knobs dont really actually control the sound, and i cannot use the patch bay at all. I talked to my professor and he said it was kinda a waste of money. So i thought i would get a dvd reader because my controller came with a Korg legacy dvd! Unfortunately, it came new out the box, wrapped in plastic, so i have no idea how long its been i sitting in there for. I took the plastic off and it’s made this weird film that will not come off with rubbing alcohol. If I cant fix this i may have to pay 99 for the program? I'm a pediatric patient and just completed my PSG and MSLT on Monday. I was unaware i was going to have to do a drug test, and smoked weed about 5 days prior. Ive seen mixed things, and am now growing increasingly concerned for the urine test results. Does anyone know 1. What they test for, and 2. What will happen if i test positive for THC (as a minor).
im pretty small, and have a fast metabolism, and only took a few hits of the weed, as well as i am not a regular smoker (probably once every 2ish month). So, even if they do test for it, will it show up?

So uh,hi I have been playing piano for almost 5 years but didnt realized how bad i was till this summer
Im on a blues band and the band director hosts a "music camp" on summer,and since i wanted something to do i joined. I met a guy named claudio there. He was WAY better than me,and then i realized how far behind i was. Since i have been thinking How could I get to his level? I've never had a piano teacher, so the guy in charge of the rhythm section in my band has taught me everything he could. I can read sheet music and And American key, (english is not my main language so i don't know how is the ABCDEFG thing is called) but the guy i talked about before seemed way more fluid when he played. He would add little details to places where i would just play the chord,etc. I also struggle with solos,cuz i have a lot of ideas but i don't really know how to apply them im paper and i have to study them before playing so i can get something decent.
THE POINT IS
Theres so much i need to get better on that i don't know where to look or what to do that in the end i don't really want to practice because i don't know exactly what to do
Is there any kind of "practice routine" or something like a premade path i can follow? Cuz i don't really know where to go.

2025.01.22 00:26 goo69698 Martin Road Series Vs Yamaha A Series
I decided I wanted a smaller acoustic guitar and have been looking at OM bodyshapes. I've been looking at the Martin Road Series and Yamaha A Series. The two guitars I was comparing were the Martin OMC-10E and the Yamaha AC3R. I ended up getting a Martin OMC-10E, because I already had a Yamaha, and I have tried a few Martins and I really liked them.
Now that I have the Martin, I'm not 100 % sure I made the right choice. It sounds quite good, but it definitely needs a setup. My current Yamaha is definitely a little easier to play despite being half the price. I could still return the Martin if I wanted to. I can't really try the Yamaha anywhere, but I have been impressed with all the Yamahas I've tried. The AC3R would actually be the most expensive one I have tried.
Does anyone have any experience with these guitars? Could anyone tell me if one is clearly better than the other? Thank you!

Yay for inability to sleep, i have been only sleeping for like 2-4 hours every night, and its usually at like 6am-8am, my sleep schedule is messed up beyond repair, and in return i look like a zombie (probably not a good thing)
Besides... that, i mostly spend my time looking up and taking care of my plants. im unsure how many i have at this point... maybe 30? in total. some are culinary herbs, some are ornamental plants, and some are native (to my area).
if im not doing that im either playing random games or reading books (both physical, and online).
i collect random fragrances i find interesting to myself too, but out of all the ones i have i maybe wear 3-4 of them. some just dont work on me, and others smell completely rancid on purpose.
if you find any of this even slightly interesting, why dont you dm me? idk... why dont you tell me your favorite drink?

 | Hey yall, I appreciate all the advice I got when asking about drilling out a qd sling base, and I took that info and made my plans. Here’s the result. Added a sling base on the stock, along with a cheek riser. Added a bit of pic rail up front to balance the light and used the cloud defensive switch on a 90 degree mount. The added weight isn’t very extreme, and if I absolutely hate it I’ll back off or pick up a new stock, but great so far. I’ve shot maybe 200 rounds as is and I really enjoyed it.
