2025.01.22 00:29 jameshhhh91 Would a slightly off Cambelt/timing belt cause intermittent problems or would they be consistent?
Would a car with a slightly off belt or what ever else they would have touched with the belt and water pump change, would this have issues all the time that were very obvious with regards to acceleration and other things? Like would I have very slow acceleration all the time, or can it just lower performance of a fast car to just a lower amount? Had the timing belt and water pump done in sept and done like 7 thousands miles since. Kind of doubt the ability of the garage that done it for reasons , and when I got the car back it didn't feel the same-but about a month after had a week of it being as best as it's ever been but after that and and hundreds of miles it went downhill again . Trying to figure out if it's worth having main dealer inspect this work and spend hundreds (already booked it in), or asking them to inspect something different with regards to this intermittent issue. I'm having intermittent issues with acceleration There's plenty of times even now it'll accelerate hard and fine, not as good say 10 thousand ago, and I do lots of motorway journeys with high speeds and get up there fine, but things seem to be getting worse. Also there's no fault codes main dealer had already looked at it for me

At 10 PM, I decided to take 2 grams of DC Mak UFO mushrooms that I had recently harvested and dried. I carefully weighed the dose, then consumed them.
By 11 PM, the effects started to manifest. My vision began to twist and extend, with beautiful shapes and colors filling my sight. The visuals were vibrant but not overpowering. That’s when I decided to lie back and close my eyes—and everything took a deeper turn.
I found myself walking into a Marine Corps recruiter station, where I enlisted. Suddenly, I was at basic training, enduring the relentless physical and mental challenges. My drill sergeant’s face began to morph into that of a demon, shouting and pushing me as I stumbled, fell, and struggled to get back up. Despite everything, I kept moving forward and eventually crossed the finish line. Graduation followed.
Then the vision shifted. I was sent to war. The horrors of combat unfolded before me—mutilated corpses, scorched bodies, and children crying as they tried to escape the crossfire of bombs and gunfire. I turned to my left and watched in shock as my battle buddy was obliterated into red mist by a high-caliber machine gun. I saw myself, covered in blood and entrails, my face etched with the effects of war.
In another flash, I was back home from the war. But my life had unraveled—I was spiraling out of control. The vision showed me abusing a future girlfriend, a dark and horrifying moment. It escalated further when I saw myself killing her in a fit of rage. My father walked in on what I had done, and in an instant, I saw myself killing him too.
The police came to my door and arrested me. The vision then shifted to my release from prison, where I had become a hollow pawn for the government. Lost and empty, I eventually discovered magic mushrooms.
At this point, the trip became surreal. I saw encrypted numbers flashing before me, and then an all-seeing eye, a representation of the organizations that control our world. The vision climaxed with me being brutally murdered by a thief. But instead of ending, I was reborn—as a sentinel being.
When the trip was over, I felt a profound sense of clarity. I realized that I should not join the Marine Corps, as I had originally planned. Instead, I saw a better path for myself in the Air Force.
The trip also forced me to confront the things I was doing wrong in my life. It showed me how I’ve been wasting my time—working all week, doing nothing productive on my days off, neglecting to clean or take care of myself. I’ve been spending money recklessly, smoking weed, and ordering DoorDash instead of saving and investing in my future.
This experience gave me a much-needed wake-up call and helped me see the changes I need to make in my life.

I'm sorry if all of this has been answered before - I searched extensively and couldn't find all the details.
For background:
I understand the differences between STD and FMLA, and that I'm applying for both concurrently. I have read all of my policy documents carefully. This would be employer-sponsored STDI, handled by UNUM. No pre-ex condition exclusions. I'm eligible for 8 weeks at full pay, and another 18 weeks at 60% pay. I'm in PA.
I have not filed the claim yet because of confusion over next steps and concerns over being denied (my understanding is that it's very difficult to be approved), but here's what I have done so far:
- spoken to my therapist (an LCSW) who highly recommends a minimum of 12 weeks off, and has also recommended that in addition to a treatment plan we develop together that I sign up for an IOP
- scheduled an appt with a psych eval for tomorrow (med mgmt)
- scheduled intake with an IOP for Thurs
- confirmed with HR that I need to alert my manager prior to filing
- I know this sounds like a crazy question, but when exactly do I file the claim? I need to make sure there is a transition plan in place for my team when I'm gone, and that is going to take work... but won't that harm my case if I tell UNUM "I need mental health leave but not for 2 more weeks"?
- (With the above in mind) On the forms, how will my provider(s) know what date to use as my date of disability? The date I stop working? The date I started having symptoms?
- Can an LCSW even fill out my claim paperwork? My policy is unclear on this point. I'm guessing "it depends," but she's the one who knows me best.
- Am I required to do an IOP in order to be approved for STD? Or can another structured treatment plan suffice?

Until today, I thought I knew where the best desert was, Key Lime Pie at 131 Main. Last 2 times in there each piece must have been 1/4 of the pie! Can’t get over how good it is. 9/10
I’m saving the 10/10 for the chocolate mousse I had in Stresa Italy too many times to admit. I want to be embalmed in that.
I found this surprise at Curate’. I can’t tell you what it’s called, it’s impossibly light, and perfectly prepared. Ask for the crème brûlée’d Tiramisu . I’m guessing the mouse is pistachio with coffee? 9/10
No one in the US gets tiramisu right, this is.

I’ve been wondering if Boyd’s Parkinson’s symptoms are just his fears manifesting.
S1e5 he asks Kristy whether she thinks it’s possible to have a physical reaction to this place. While he’s rubbing his hands to stop them from shaking. He says “maybe something you might diagnose as one thing in the outside world but here it’s…”. He was talking about the seizures but I thought maybe it’s a hint about him.
In another episode he tells Kenny that the docs told him he couldn’t really inherit it.
Also curious that someone else noted that the drugs for M. Thompson cause side effects of Parkinson’s symptoms.

As an Australian, I grew up on British comedy. Radio shows like My Word, My Music, Goon Show. Early British comedy TV like the Frost Report, Til Death us do Part, Marty Feldman show, Steptoe and Son. Early British comedy movies like Carry On, St Trinians, the Plank. (Annoyingly, we never got "not the 9 o'clock news" in Australia).
Did Brits get much early Australian comedy? (eg. Dad and Dave, Hey Hey, Round the Twist, D-generation, Aunty Jack). What's the earliest Aussie comedy you remember?
I had hoped that the Australian "you're skitting me" made it to Britain, but I doubt that it ever did.

i have yae miko c1 triple crowned, and usually use her as off-field dps (except for her crazy ult right after i activate ayato's) while my ayato (also triple crowned) goes crazy as a direct main dps (melee style). i don't really want to change these two, i've grown way too attached to them.
the problem is: ive been using qiqi (triple crowned, i know, but she goes insane with ayato in co-op with just one friend) as my healer ever since i became an ayato main (before i even got yae miko) and now i have baizhu triple crowned and i'm dying to use him!!!! would it be a good idea for a hyperbloom team (ayato, yae miko, baizhu and someone else)? someone else still in discussions because my gameplay has been so focused on using anemo as well (kazuha/venti) and i feel like i'm betraying my fav element of anemo xd
i thought about adding thoma even if i would rather stay way from burgeon reactions, but i'm also open to like... inconvenient but effective ways to build a team.
any suggestions?
