2025.01.22 00:51 justphystuff How to correct for aberrations using the phase shifting interferometry method?

Hi everyone, I am trying to make a wavefront correction to an SLM but there is something wrong in my workflow to now make it work. The optical setup is essentially:
collimated beam to SLM-> SLM -> lens -> Camera
I am using a spin-off of the PSI method in which I use a blazed grating + two superpixels: one pixel is static and the other is moving across all spaces to accrue different interference patterns. Here is what I mean (this is what is being sent to the SLM):

The middle superpixel is stationary and the other goes through all of the other spaces. On the camera the two beams will cause interference fringes. In the end there are 160 images all with different interference patterns such as this one:

I extract the phase shift from the interference fringes within each box and I get something like this:

I interpolate, add it to the blaze grating + a spot to then see if the aberrations were corrected. Here is without and without the phase correction from above (without correction is only blazed grating + spot, and the with correction is blazed+spot+phase correction):

So there is clearly an improvement (I also did a 1D and 2D residual analysis and the with correction is much better). But before I get into the next step, I want to take a step back on how this phase pattern is created:
When extracting the phase from the interference patterns, the values go up to large values such as 18 so I assumed this needs to be modulated by 2pi, and since our lookup table for the SLM goes from 0-2pi, then we cant take any negative values anyways, so I did the phase %2pi. In addition to that, I took the conjugate of that and then added that conjugated modulated phase to the blazed grating.
I don't know if all of that makes sense (I apologize if so and I am happy to elaborate), but the next point is where I am getting stuck. So naively, I believe that most of the aberrations have been corrected for with this correction phase pattern and if I now try a second round to correct for small aberrations I should anticipate a phase correction pattern that is much smaller in terms of values than the first phase pattern. But that's not what happens. I get this:

Now, I don't exclude that something is wrong with my code, but perhaps there is also something that I am missing in terms of assuming that aberration modulates with 2pi or something else.
Does anyone have an idea of how I should properly do this? I would appreciate any insight and apologies of this is confusing.

A few weeks ago I applied for a couple positions at walmarts near Austin, Georgetown, Round Rock and Pflugerville. I was just called around 20 minutes ago and they offered an interview at thursday. The problem is, as soon as I accepted, the man said "ok, great", and hanged up. I have no idea were to go, lol.
I applied for 7 nearby Walmarts. I tried checking online and It doesn't say were it is that I'm supossed to be going on thursday. What do I do?

2025.01.22 00:51 Wintaru Issue with Jueno run: has anyone else had this happen?

Tonight I ran my first Jeuno run since the patch. I've only ran it a handful of times before, only once before did I get armor. I have a single Ark Angel armor piece, it's the Mask of Aiming (which I was wearing, I was on MCH).
I double checked that I was eligible for rewards, and queued up. Throughout the dungeon I passed on everything because I wanted a shot at a body piece at the end. After we beat the Shadowlord, I received this message twice:
"Loot Received. You cannot obtain any more until reset."
Looking in my inventory I see the Ordelle Coin but nothing else. I have zero other AA armor. I never heard the sound that I received anything. I checked to make sure my settings were such that armor doesn't go directly to my Armory Chest (it was off). I double checked my entire Armory Chest to make certain I didn't get anything there. I have nothing for the week now.
Looking at the Duty Finder for Jeuno: The First Walk it says "Reward already received (2/3)".
Can anyone clue me in on what happened? I'd love to know so I don't repeat whatever mistake I made and lose out on yet another week of stuff :( I opened a support ticket but I'm trying to make sure I didn't do something stupid.

I understand that some risk needs to be taken to OE. However, I also want to be strategic about taking them where I reasonably can. For example, how do I avoid burning so many bridges career-wise/industry-wise that it locks me out of various opportunities? Nowadays, with it being so cheap to keep data, it's not uncommon for the reason that you got fired from somewhere to be stored years later. While I have some career experience, I likely will still have decades of being in the workforce ahead of me.

One thing that I wish the Democrats had done in this past election was to play footage of January 6th on all of their ads. Let it speak for itself how violent and dangerous these people are and how Trump is the common denominator in making this happen. The time to push back on Trump letting all of these violent people out of prison and elevating these hate groups is now. So I’m attempting to start a social media trend. Just think if thousands or millions of us post videos and footage of the violence on January 6th with a caption like “Who is safe from these guys?” or something to that effect, I truly believe that the public will be reminded and horrified of what pardoning these people really means. It’s getting largely ignored in my opinion and Congress is shrugging their shoulders, which is truly mind-blowing. Articles about it and chatter about it is not enough pushback. Please help start this trend and spread the word! Will someone with way more influence than me get this started? Our voice is what we have right now and it’s invaluable when there is strength in numbers. More people sharing = more people feeling brave enough to do the same.
