BUFF OR REWORK!!! Am I the only who thinks movie sonic needs to be buffed or reworked. Me personally I hate his tornado ability it’s too slow even if it steals rings and compared to the other movie characters he’s low on the list in my opinion.

2025.01.22 00:55 Big_Lynx6241 No power to my house humidifier

Hi everyone. My furnace humidifier hasn’t been working so I went through the diagnostic process. Changed the pad, changed the solenoid. I have now determined that there is no power going to it. I’ve called for heat and humidity on the thermostat and I read zero voltage. The wires are hooked up. Humidifier thermostat no good or something in the power board? Any insight is appreciated!

2025.01.22 00:55 DiegoA91 Tavern Recruitment

Tavern Recruitment Is there any difference in the probability mechanics at the Tavern when using multiple tickets at a time versus opening them individually?
I have more than 200 tickets and I am wondering if I should open them one by one or if I should make two pulls of 100 tickets. I have noticed a lot of complaints regarding bad luck on the hundred-ticket pull.
A fellow guild member said that he opens the golden treasure one at a time when he has 80 or more because he found out that it increased his chances of better rewards. This method was tried by other members of the guild who claimed that they got similar results.

2025.01.22 00:55 matopato123 [EVENT] Wholeheartedly Serve the People

Wholeheartedly Serve the People 全心全意为人民服务 FEBRUARY 1973
The arrest and purging of Madam Mao exposed significant flaws within China's justice system. The People's Courts and People's Procuratorates had nearly collapsed, while the People's Police, once a force for law and order, had devolved into a faction-ridden entity embroiled in political infighting. In particular, the two largest public security organs in Beijing and Shanghai, once vital to maintaining law and order, had been placed under the control of political commissars with little to no expertise in judicial or police matters. This troubling situation was emblematic of a broader, more entrenched issue plaguing both the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the state: nepotism and factionalism had undermined the goals of the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution, with Madam Mao, Kang Sheng, and Lin Biao standing as stark examples of its unintended consequences.
While the Cultural Revolution had addressed certain issues, it had inadvertently created others, leaving the CCP blindsided by new challenges. Law enforcement, particularly in the area of political crime—corruption, nepotism, and embezzlement—had been severely neglected, casting a shadow over Chairman Mao, who, despite proclaiming victory over deviationism and rightist counter-revolutionaries, now faced the uncomfortable reality of a growing problem. This issue would only intensify as China increasingly opened itself to foreign trade and investment, yet it was met with indifference, as the Party focused on political theatrics instead of tackling the burgeoning heroin trade, which had largely gone unnoticed during this period of turmoil.
In the wake of these developments, the priorities of the CCP shifted. Political ideology, once a cornerstone of the Party's agenda, was no longer its primary concern. Instead, Chairman Mao himself began questioning the Party’s integrity, as it appeared to be falling short in its role as the dictatorship of the proletariat. However, the crisis was not confined to the Party alone; the State Council, too, was drawn into the debate. Over the past few months, discussions had been taking place in the Regent's Palace in Zhongnanhai, with Premier Zhou Enlai, Minister of Public Security Hua Guofeng, Zhu De, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Soong Ching-ling, Dong Biwu, and other key figures addressing the "excesses of the Cultural Revolution" and the corruption it left behind. The term "excesses" quickly became common speech, and propaganda soon took hold—no longer would the Party justify its failures by citing the excesses of governance. There was no room for excess in the dictatorship of the proletariat, and the time had come to confront the Party's shortcomings head-on.
The reforms, announced by Premier Zhou Enlai under the Campaign to Wholeheartedly Serve the People, were reflective of a much larger campaign, that to eliminate corruption from the mechanisms of the party. Marking the start of the campaign were several ministerial and party reorganizations, directly overseen by Premier Zhou Enlai, Minister Hua Guofeng, and Genneral Wang Dongxing:
Commission for Discipline Inspection (CDI)
Inter-party discipline is the cornerstone upon which the revolution must advance. Without holding both the left and right wings accountable, the revolution risks losing its momentum. This understanding was reaffirmed with the reintroduction of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, now known simply as the Commission for Discipline Inspection.
The absence of effective inter-party discipline prior to the Cultural Revolution had weakened the Party’s ability to address corruption. Despite Chairman Mao's support, the Commission lacked the necessary tools to combat this issue. The Cultural Revolution, instead of reinforcing its authority, further diminished it, especially with the replacement of its original framework.
In its restructured form, the Commission will assume control of many of the Party’s anti-corruption and accountability functions. It will effectively serve as the Party’s judicial arm in tandem with the Ministry of State Security. The Commission will inherit the responsibilities of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Group, responsible for the coordination of the Ministries of State Security, Public Security, and Justice, as well as the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate.
At the regional level, all provincial, municipal, county, and autonomous region CCP committees will maintain their own political and legal affairs commissions, mirroring the political commissariat system. These commissions will be appointed by the General Office of the CCP upon recommendations from the Central Organization Department.
Ministry of Public Security (MPS)
As a crucial arm of accountability for both the Party and the government, the MPS underwent several reorganizations that significantly transformed its role. Its scope was expanded to encompass all aspects of internal policing not directly related to political activities at the national level. In order to emphasize its political neutrality, party membership was no longer a prerequisite for advancement within the MPS, as its primary responsibility shifted away from party enforcement—tasks now handled by the CDI. Adopting a departmental system similar to the party, the MPS would inherit the majority of the country's policing, amalgamated into several departments:

  1. People's Political Police is responsible for counter-intelligence, political security, civil order, and upholding state authority, distinct from the MSS' role in upholding CCP authority.
  2. People's Police of Public Security manages law enforcement, public order, criminal investigations, and border control, forming the majority of China’s police force.
  3. People's Judicial Police is distinct from court and procuratorate police, oversee prison security, guard duties, and administration, as well as drug rehabilitation enforcement and corrective measures for minor offenders.
  4. People's Police of Judicial Organs ensures security in People's Courts at all levels, maintain courthouse order, and assist judges and assist public procurators in investigations within the judicial system.
Ministry of Justice
The state counterpart to the CDI, the Ministry of Justice was reinstituted under Comrade Dong Biwu. While the party's legal enforcement ceased with the suspension of party leadership, the Ministry of Justice carried on the revolution's mandate. It takes responsibility for overseeing the country’s judicial processes, developing legal frameworks, engaging in national and international treaties, managing prosecution and sentencing, and serving as the chief supervisory authority over the People's Government.
Ministry of State Security (MSS)
The military arm of the CCP and the militarized equivalent of the MPS, the MSS is tasked with foreign intelligence, counterintelligence, and safeguarding the political security of the CCP. It replaced the now-defunct CCP Central Investigation Department, once headed by Kang Sheng, and builds upon the lessons learned from the Central Special Branch, Central Social Affairs Department, and Central Investigation Department, expanding its institutional mandate. A key reform was the establishment of the People’s Armed Police, which officially separated the Chinese People’s Public Security Force from the authority of the PLA and MPS. This shift, driven by Chairman Mao’s concern about the growing influence of the PLA in everyday politics, was aimed at ensuring PLA independence from political infighting, such as that exposed during the Lin Biao Affair. The appointed minister, Marshal Li Desheng, was the former commander of the Beijing Military Garrison. The MSS consists of several departments:
  1. People's Armed Police Bureau is responsible for internal security, riot control, counter-terrorism, disaster response, law enforcement, maritime rights protection, and provides support to the People's Liberation Army (PLA) during wartime.
  2. People's Armed Border Guard Bureau is responsible for guarding China’s land and sea borders, ports, and airports, focusing on border and coastal security, patrols near Hong Kong and Macao, and cracking down on illegal activities such as smuggling, drug trafficking, and illegal border crossings.
  3. People's Armed Coast Guard Bureau conducts law enforcement, environmental protection, and border defense duties in coastal and maritime areas, and in wartime, it supports the PLA Navy in non-combat roles.
  4. People's Central Guard Bureau is responsible for the CCP and military intelligence apparatus as well as responsible for overseeing the protection of senior party members, their families, and important foreign dignitaries. Controls the Beijing Garrison's Central Guard Regiment.
