2025.01.22 00:42 pbfomdc Does anyone else feel a sense of intuitive learning?
I am beginning to feel that I have spent my life learning more intuitively than the other learning styles (literary, visual, audial, kinesthetic, etc).
When I look back on my education I feel that I charmed my way through by focusing on the body language, vocal intonations and questions or concerns brought on by the teacher than the content itself.
Obviously, everyone studies for the test, but here it is all these years later and I still don’t have a grasp of some fundamental rules from the first moments when I realized I had a learning disorder.
I am thinking as a survival tactic knowing I could not learn from reading, hearing or repeating, I think I developed an intuitive style of learning because I could always perform well on tests but really didn’t know the fundamentals but instead having a clear concept of the why, how and perspective I managed to get by largely by echoing what the teacher thought was important based on their behavior.
I can only call this an intuitive style of learning and I came here to see if anyone else could relate.

Info: Not my cat but I'm looking after him for 6 months, this is month 5. 5 yrs old, fixed male.
During the fall it was easy. I enclosed my balcony into a catio and he'd spend hours out there. Now it's too cold for his liking. He has a cat tree in almost every room, including one massive one made for multiple cats. Our house has 3 levels to explore. I try playing with him but he's not really interested. He gets bored really quick. He'll chase a new toy 2-4 times then just watches it move from a hiding spot. I try moving it fast, slow, up high, down low, wiggling, like a bird, and like a mouse. I've tried rotating toys which sometimes works but still I'll only get 1-2 pounces out of him. I've tried rotating within one play session. I've tried different kinds of toys: small, large, feathery, jingly, squeaky, crinkly, stuffed with catnip. Catnip doesn't really do anything for him. Whatever the toy is I add a jumpring on it so I can use it on the wand. Whatever it is he gets bored.
I take him for walks both in a backpack and on a leash, but with the weather those are short trips. We're trying to get his weight down a bit more so I don't really wanna get food puzzle toys, plus he's super picky about food and treats anyway (doesn't like real food! Only processed!)
I was thinking a cat superhighway but since he's going home soon that seems a bit excessive.
His boredom cries break my heart, they're so mournful! Any other suggestions appreciated!

I recently was printing with hyper pla. It’s proceeded to clog in my heat break, not fun but I fixed it after an hour and a half, now when I’m printing I keep getting this problem where is pulls off the bed on the first layer, idk what it is, I’ve tried flow rate calibration, running auto leveling and it seems to just be random cause it will pull of on -10 flow rate but then not on -6 but then weirdly again on 0 don’t get it at all can’t print anything with this problem

I’m so tired of everything. I can’t even remember the last time I had a genuinely good day. Some of this is my fault, but most of it feels like it’s just me. I have mild Asperger’s, and while I don’t have any big sensory issues, the social side of things is unbearable. My body language is off, my movements are weird, I can’t hold a conversation, and I have zero charisma. I can’t even fake it. I don’t read situations well, I can’t act natural, and on top of all that, I have no confidence. People seem to just inherently dislike me.
At school, I have one close friend I stick to. Without him, I’d barely speak to anyone. He’s doing great—always talking to new people, messaging them, sending photos. Meanwhile, I barely have anyone to message, and the few I do end up ghosting me. It’s not like he has any more chances to meet people than I do, but he connects with them so easily, while I just can’t. I know this stuff shouldn’t matter, but it eats at me. If someone follows me, it makes my day, but more often someone ignores my message, and it ruins me.
This lack of confidence just spirals. Half my classes, I sit in silence because I have no friends there. In others, I might talk to a few people, but it’s shallow. Then there’s one class where my friend is, but even then, I feel like the odd one out. He has good friends everywhere. I try to join conversations, but it’s awkward. It feels like people are just tolerating me. I don’t walk or talk with anyone besides him—what would I even say?
It’s not just him—it’s everyone. People barely acknowledge me unless I’m with him. It’s like I don’t exist otherwise. I don’t know why. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. But this lack of connection is suffocating.
It really hit me when I had a girl interested in me once. We messaged for a few weeks, but it fizzled out because I couldn’t talk to her at school. I didn’t have other friends or any confidence, so it all just fell apart. Since then, I’ve realized how deep my problems run.
I’m stuck in this limbo. Everyone else seems to have some kind of anchor—confidence, friends, something that gets them through the day. But not me. I feel like no one really cares about me, and I don’t know how to fix it. Deep down, all I want is to be confident and likable. I don’t want to believe that’s out of reach.
