Se não fosse necessário ter atenção ao trânsito à nossa volta os veículos não teriam espelhos. Os espelhos devem ser usados constantemente para conseguirmos circular em segurança como por exemplo para verificarmos se algum veículo nos está a ultrapassar e assim permitirmos que esse veículo termine a manobra em segurança.
Qualquer condutor que não faça uso dos seus espelhos e que apenas se preocupe com o trânsito à sua frente é um condutor mal formado, irresponsável e um perigo para todos os outros utentes da via, e assim não deve estar habilitado com carta de condução.
