I wanted to warn others here because they are selling limited edition items lippies (salty tan, strawberry glaze) received both today and compared them to the ones i have (needed back ups for both). They are both bigger and salty tan was scented (original is unscented). Did a patch test on my arm. The consistency was much thinner and the scent for both was very strong. I think Marsh is perhaps the most tragic character I've ever read. Woman he loves marries his brother, then gets beaten to death. Gives up everything to infiltrate the ministry, whoops, turns out he can still sacrifice his EYES. List goes on, etc, etc. Combined with this is his stoicism, immense willpower, and a slight flair of the dramatic; is it any wonder that Marsh has so many fans??
But... Um. The guy deserves a hug. Many of them, in fact. And I'm sure that somewhere out there is a girl who has a thing for tall, brooding overachievers and doesn't mind a few spikes (or maybe thinks they're rad!) who would be more than willing to provide said hugs. So I supplicate thee: please allow Marsh a girlfriend!
She doesn't need to appear in the book! She could exist solely via Word of Brandon. While Marsh goes skulking around doing Ironeye things, she could be ... I dunno, a software engineer creating Text to Speech software (Marsh can't read screens, can he? T_T). Just imagine how much comfort it would give readers to know that after he's done tromping about as the personification of Death, he can don matching frilly aprons with his gf and try that new fangled chouta fusion dish. (...pretty gap moe, amiright?)
Of course one doesn't need a romantic relationship to be happy. And I know he's already Marsh's version of happy. But... give it some thought

I have been playing WWF2 for years and have seen many iterations of the app throughout the years... Once upon a time, I paid (maybe $1) to 'get rid' of ads, and it did just that. One day, I decided to click on an innocent-looking banner that read something like: 'enable banner ads to get coins' which I did... and that awarded me the coins but what they didn't mention is that the banner ads cut out a portion of the top so they can present themselves and it's super annoying, stagnant, relentless and nothing can be done to revert back to how I had it. I paid to get rid of ads and they wormed their way back into my account because I was fooled by them. Basically, they have my $1 and I have their ads which I paid said dollar to precisely get rid of. We all know ads are games'/apps' bread and butter, but the insidious and nefarious way ZYNGA pushed it is pure BS. The game is already riddled with in-game ads that pop up in your face and even within a current game. The most nefarious thing I've noticed is that I'd leave the game open in the background so that when I launch it again, I won't have to be subjected to the barrage of ads... but they found a way to make the game crash on purpose so that you'd have to relaunch it... guess what happens when you relaunch it... yup, the ad attack comes right back (I'm running Galaxy S24 Ultra Android 14 One UI 6.1) That used to be my workaround to having to get ad-bombed. Of course, this is speculation- no where does it say that this is purposefully done. This is just my opinion.

Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Reddit dans une moindre mesure... tous les médias sociaux ou presque sont constamment décriés comme des pertes de temps qui créent des addictions chez les ados.
C'est vrai! Mais je pense qu'on a oublié de mettre l'emphase sur deux choses importantes: - que tout le monde les utilise, y compris les moins jeunes et les plus influencables; - qu'ils sont une forme de média au même titre que (ou en support à) la télévision, les journaux, etc, parfois même la source exclusive d'information.
Avec la récente actualité et la réalisation qu'on utilise et dépend exclusivement de médias sociaux américains, ça m'inquiète. Je pensais (et je pense pas être le seul) que c'était pas vraiment un problème, et comme beaucoup, malgré des évènements alarmants (Snowden, Cambridge Analytica...), je ne me sentais pas trop concerné par l'idée que l'oncle Sam aille voir mes DMs. Mais l'idée de possibles censures/propagande active américaine m'enchante beaucoup moins.
Le pire, c'est que même avec ma peur grandissante aujourd'hui, je rechigne à fermer mon compte FB parce que Marketplace/suivi d'évènements/Messengeetc. Et ce même alors que je me considère tech-savvy et que j'ai des affinités pour les logiciels libres.
Dans d'autres cas, je me sens encore plus impuissant à changer quoi que ce soit: qu'arrive-t-il si Google décide arbitrairement de cloturer mon compte GMail? Tous mes comptes en dépendent.
Avec le recul, j'en veux un peu à nos gouvernements de ne pas avoir mis en place plus de contrôle de contenu (pas de censure, mais modération locale par exemple, ainsi qu'obligation d'héberger tout ou partie des données sur le territoire national), ou développé des alternatives nationales (au moins pour les emails), ou juste promu le développement des alternatives libres et décentralisées qui existent déjà.
Il y a eu quelques pas dans le bon sens en Europe avec la RGPD, mais je crois qu'on a vraiment manqué quelque chose de plus fondamental. On est passé très vite (c'est relatif) de l'internet libre, décentralisé, à un internet réduit à quelques plateformes contrôlées par une poignée d'entreprises.
Bien sûr, c'est aussi une histoire de choix personnels et il faut qu'on assume nos choix d'être allés vers des plateformes propriétaires. Mais ce genre de sujet demande plus d'éducation, de sensibilisation, d'action de la part de nos gouvernements.
