I am 21F, 5’2 usually around 113/115 but sitting at 116.5 currently. My journey has been a long one. I’m not really overweight per se, but I am unhappy with the way my body looks. I’ve been on and off for 3 years as my job is tiring and my mental health prohibits my goals at times. This go around I really want to lock in and get into this lifestyle, but it seems like no matter what I do my body still looks the same. Cardio was really doing it for me, but I’ve been told that I should really just focus on weight training. I have no clue how to find the best body fat ratio because I cannot afford professional help or any sort of device to help me measure it or figure it out. I don’t know what types of exercises to do at this point, at least not with lifting, but I’m trying calisthenics so the social anxiety doesn’t play a roll anymore. Im really trying to eat better and I’m really trying to exercise as much as I can but all I do is gain fat. I just need advice on what I can do without paying someone money to help me figure it out. I use an Apple Watch when I run, but like I said cardio hasn’t been my main priority lately, and I also don’t have much time for it because I work really long hours throughout the week. Any advice at all is super super appreciated and thank you so much for your time.

2025.01.22 01:24 lrbikeworks Suggestions for a small private dining room for wedding ceremony and reception?
We are getting married in April (yay!)
It’s a second marriage for both of us, attended by our grown kids and a few very close friends. Total number of people is 14-16. We want to do a small civil ceremony, officiated by my best friend, in a private room at a restaurant, followed immediately by dinner and libations.
Here’s the problem. Every time I call a restaurant and mention the W word, they want to charge between $3000-$6500.
Is tha just the going rate? Any ideas for a private dining room that won’t cost an arm and a leg? I guess I was thinking a few hundred bucks plus dinner drinks off the menu. Is that even possible?
Any help, suggestions, or guidance would be much appreciate.

 | I’ve made this style of capacitor quite a few times, but previously used aluminum tape on both the inside and out side of the container. But when using a Wimhurst style generator, the polarities can flip. This was an issue cause the experiments I was doing required a known polarity. So I found that copper tends to lose electrons, becoming more positive, and aluminum tends to gain electrons becoming more negative. So by adding copper tape to the outside, I created a poor man’s polarized HV static capacitor.  | My orchids are turning me into a plant lady! These are all new spikes except the one in water. Feeling proud. I live in Central Oregon, the high desert. It’s ‘chapped lips’ dry here. I drench them once a week under the tap. Root rot is my fear. Mold is my nemesis. I check for it, smell for it, wake up from nightmares about it. Then recently my partner opened their ancient lock box and a cloud of mold spores erupted. I panic-laughed, then cleaned so well Adrian Monk would be proud. I drilled holes in all the pots, causing my equally anxious rescue dog to hide, then drilled more holes in the sides of pots that weren’t drying out fast enough. I have my eye on some real, gorgeous orchid pots. They sit in my Amazon cart for now. I did click purchase on a gentle fertilizer spray and a humidifier. I also repotted them with better draining soil and removed whatever that inner plastic net/root killer is that grocery stores love. These are chic orchids; they’ve outgrown plastic butterfly clips and now wear silky hair-ties. The one in water was brought home during a blizzard. All her buds dried up and fell off, except two. I decided she would be my experiment in semi-water culture. I put her in water for two days, then just air for three, and she bloomed! Most likely an effort to spawn before enduring her next form of shock, but still, good for her. She will remain a semi-water culture orchid, and live a peaceful life. I booked an Airbnb on the Oregon coast for this weekend to search for driftwood to grow my next orchid on! Well, the real reason is my girlfriend said we need a weekend away to reconnect, and that I’ve become distant and developed insomnia. (To be fair, it is possible I’m writing a lengthy post about orchid-care to avoid the world.) Plants you can understand, and rely on. They won’t be taken away suddenly, they will give you gentle signs that they are suffering from root rot or infested with pests, and a helpful person on Reddit can provide the solution. (You just have to care to ask.) Humans are more complicated to care for. And some things can be taken away. I think it’s giving me mold nightmares. 🤷🏼♀️ I am looking forward to the weekend. I hope it will be nice. Any tips or advice? Best driftwood to look for? Should I re-plant my water orchid? I’m seeing this guy I really like. We’re not together yet, but we’ve been making plans to meet up. I’m Black, and he’s white, and we’ve been talking about random things, including hair. Right now, my hair is in a protective style—it’s super neat and brand new, so I don’t plan to take it down anytime soon.
The thing is, he’s already mentioned wanting to help me wash my hair, but I don’t think he understands how 4c hair works. I can’t just wash it every day like he might with his straight hair. If I explain that washing curly hair every day can make it dry and brittle, I’m worried it’ll come across like I don’t shower or bathe regularly, which isn’t true at all!
It also seems like he just wants to touch my hair, and while I like him, I don’t want him touching it. How do I set boundaries and educate him without making it awkward or making him think I’m dirty?

Hey how is it that some people like to sing repetitive worship songs for 10 minutes? The other day I heard Agnus Dei for like maybe 10 minutes. I conclude that perhaps music isn't my way of connecting with God so that's why I find it boring. During the worship time, I wrote my own prayer down instead of singing along to the music. Is there anyone who gets annoyed when the worship band keeps playing the same song and instead thinks "Come on, when are you gonna end the song?" Both Me and at least one other person in my family think that it is annoying to hear slow songs repeat themselves. I'm one of those who doesn't understand people who like long downbeat worship songs. (I feel like depending on the song, I prefer some of the older ones from my younger days. Holy Lord by Ron Kenoly is neat even though it is slow since it sounds different and is from a different part of my life). I think I'm just not a giant fan of some of the most modern music. I'm 29 years old.
I don't mind hearing "Pour my Love on You" by Philips Craig and Dean. The style is different
I understand that the music is about God and it's hard for Me to focus properly on the lyrics. I can understand the lyrics but don't find music to be my way of connecting with God. Is there anyone who just chooses not to sing along and even goes as far as playing on their phone while the boring songs play? I kinda wonder if it is still worship if You sing while You have a bad attitude about the song being played just because it isn't your style? (Let's say You sing the song but are not focusing on the words due to ADHD and find yourself thinking "When is this over?") It looks like fake worship at best if unable to focus on God. It can be hard in a room full of people to focus.
Also, I know many people look emotional during worship looking like they are somehow connecting to God. Well, You never know who is faking it and who isn't. Maybe I would be surprised at how many people fake it.

- King of Kings by Hillsong (I think we do this one)
- Waymaker (At least we have done it before)

- Awesome God (I kindof like this song, but for some reason they keep repeating the chorus and don't include the verse. A 1980s Rich Mullins version would be good)
These are just a few of them.

I have a doublewide built ~1999 and would love to upgrade some of the fixtures, namely the bathroom vanities, kitchen counters, and hopefully flooring.
I’m a first time homeowner and have been told that I can’t just …go to Lowe’s/home depot and pick something out. I’ve sadly measured the doors and confirmed they’re a weird size, and it appears the bathroom vanity is, too (28”).
Is this going to be too much of a pain? Should I settle for paint and maybe new hardware? I live in New England if it’s relevant for stores/etc
