My husband and I have been together for a decade, married for 5 years with 1 kid. He's recently sober(or was). At first, after he quit drinking everything was great between us, he was helping out around the house and more involved with our kid, sex life had went from nothing to almost daily. Then one day he's playing video games and has completely stopped doing anything but sleeping and playing his game and sitting on his headset for 5-12 hours a day.
I felt like he was hiding something or depressed or both. Initially I felt like he was hiding weed usage or something, then he mentioned a girl that he plays his game with and I thought maybe emotional affair. I tried talking to him about what was going on, why had he disappeared into his office. He basically just brushed me off.
So I snooped to see if I could find what caused the complete 180. Luckily (I guess?) he left his phone at home when he left the house for a bit. I looked through his discord and DMs on his gaming PC, all the hiding places in his office. I found out he drank 354 ml bottle of fireball in one night(I also found the receipt). Then I looked through his phone at his messages and Snapchat and Reddit and found in his most recent subreddit list 5 different casual hookup subreddits for our town, 1 didn't exist when I clicked on it. I don't know if he actually met anyone but now I feel like I can't trust anything he does.
I reached out to my lawyer today to start the divorce process. AIO for jumping to that step before asking him about it?

I have just started my career. I have been taking up any job that I can get my hands on. During college, I did some internships in social media marketing and creative writing. After college, I worked on a three month contract job at a company which had partnered with Adobe to write descriptions for their videos. Now I have finally gotten a permanent job where I am writing for websites of online casino games.
I know that it has been all over the place. But I am not from the writing background and I thought I must have some experience to get anything, so I took anything that came my way.
Am I currently doing UX/UI writing? Kind of clueless what department my work comes under. What should I focus on more to have a more consistent profile?

Hey all,
I am soundproofing my basement for tracking music. I am confident in the things I have control over but I have a specific problem I cannot figure out.
I have to build a landing per code at the bottom of the step into the basement. The stud wall against the exterior wall (cement and brick) is framed with 2x2. Unfortunately the opening is already not up to code as it is, but the city granted me a variance since it's already there. I'm most concerned about bleed into the doorway area, so I need tips for how to best fill that cavity.
I'm thinking of sandwiching 4 layers of 5/8 drywall and green glue between the studs, seal all openings, and a final layer on top. Unfortunately I can't spare the extra inches to decouple a ferring strip and air gap the top layer, so it has to go straight into the stud. This section would be 5' wide and 7' tall.
Any better suggestions?

Hey! I am planning to apply to vet school in the next VMCAS cycle and have a question about having low vet experience hours, and am wondering if anyone has gotten admitted with lower hours.
When I apply to vet school, I will have ~500 small animal vet experience hours and ~150 large/farm animal hours. I have a very competitive gpa from a top tier school (3.8 and 3.75 science), very involved with lots of leadership (3,000 hours...Tour guide, President of sorority, president of pre-vet club, Orientation leader x3, figure skating club president and coach, etc) as well as 1,000 research hours (published on a paper). Will my lack of vet experience hold me back? Planning on applying to auburn (in state), upenn, vmcvm, uga, ncstate, and ohio state.

I’ve had about 8% of portfolio in VXUS for a few years. It’s been a dog while the rest of my portfolio has done well. Today it has finally broken even (mainly thanks to TSM doing well lately).
Do you think it’s time to sell and move into something else? Any suggestions as to good outside US or developing markets stocks or ETFs that are worth looking at? Most of my portfolio is in the S and P 500

2025.01.22 01:14 4alex6 V2L Troublshooting
Apologies in advance if my electrical terms aren't concise or totally accurate. Last year I hired an electrician to install a NEMA L5-30P Power Inlet Box and interlock kit on my panel. So basically a typical generator set-up so I could use the V2L feature to power my house during a black-out.
I finally tested the V2L today using this set-up (thankfully I haven't needed to use it but realized I *really* needed to test it) and it worked pretty good for the most part. I was able to flip on all my 15amp switches and it only pulled about 0.2kw since everything was pretty much turned off already in my house and my house is full of LED lights.
I narrowed down which switch controlled the fridge and kitchen area and just kept that switch on and ran into an issue: when flipping on the switch all the appliances on my kitchen counter powered on (toaster ovens, kettle, etc.). However the fridge did not turn on even though it was on the same 15A switch. I unplugged the countertop appliances and tried again but no luck. Has anyone run into this issue before? Is the fridge pulling too much power so it just doesn't power on? Thanks!

So you brake before the turn and then once your off the brakes turn handle bars while at the same time getting back on the throttle slightly then add more throttle at the apex?
Or while braking in a straight line your off the throttle and coasting for a second turn as you turn back on the throttle slightly then apex add more throttle?

Electronics (stereo) question. Old guy with a lot of CDs. I’m considering downsizing. I’ve asked this question in a number of electronics stores without a solution.
I am capable of downloading all the CDs, but am looking for the best way to play the music thereafter, ‘best way’ in terms of hardware. I ’m looking for a simple system capable of storing and playing that music and have an AM/FM radio capability. Good sound is a must and I’m after something other than putting it all on my smart phone.
Any suggestions?
