Hi all! I’m looking for someone who wants to just relax, have some weekend stroll, play mini-golf or go visit parts of Bangkok. If you’re around Bangkok, better! About me: I’m a working professional outside of Bangkok, I’m 40 minutes away from the City. I get only the weekends off so I prefer to spend money where it would really count. I don’t have time for video games as I am here purely for business and learning. I’m gonna be staying for half a year then be back to my home country(SEA).
I’m fun to be with, cheerful, treats women with respect and space. No ONS FWB FUBU, just want to have a friend to hangout with or talk to. It’s hard to understang Thai accent english so I am sending a distress signal to everyone who might be having the same problem bonding with the locals haha!

it's funny how all this time i still miss you. it comes in waves and they often fluctuate. sometimes they just pass me by but right now it's really washing over me. maybe even drowning me.
oh what i would give to run my hands through your hair. see your smile. caress your skin. even if it was just for one night, it would make my heart feel so divine. oh how i would love to get lost in your eyes just one more time.
i wish we could just ignore all the bad stuff. i wish it never happened at all. this isn't what i wanted, i wanted us to be happy together. but that's not how it played out despite all my wishing. i wanted to give you the world and now i can't and i have to live with that. it's not an easy thing to carry.
i often wonder, do you ever miss me? do you miss those late night laughs, do you think back on our memories fondly? will you notice when i'm gone, will it bring echoes of sadness? can you tell i still love you in those rare glances we get into each other's eyes?

... physiologically speaking? And does it differ based on different factors (body fat, weight, excercise, etc)? I've read 7 days, is that accurate for an average? I know psychological cravings or addiction is different, but I like bio metrics. They help me train my thinking.
Q2: When do most of you notice the cravings peaking and then subsiding after complete abstinence? I've read many accounts of around 12 days (which is an odd number for me to understand).

Had a few discussions with a PI over the past few weeks, she seemed to really like me. Yesterday, I interviewed with her and the rest of the committee, and while I don't think I bombed it, I didn't get the sense that I made a strong, positive impression either. This was a short, 15-20 minute interview and I didn't get a chance to say much beyond just answering the questions, and at least one question I sort of fumbled. It was something I should have had a ready answer for, but I was for some reason caught off guard and didn't answer clearly. No big deal, I'm sure I'm not the only person that day who fumbled a question, but I'm wondering in general about how much weight is given to these interviews. What exactly do they expect to see from just 20 minutes?
Insight from professors/PI's from institutions that do this, in particular, is welcome.

So I got the game not long after release, but I put it down for multiple reasons. Only got my Rogue character to level 20. Hearing the fairly positive reception of the path devs have taken with updates has me interested in hopping back in. My question is, does it make sense to continue with my character or just start with the new season? Diablo IV was my first Diablo game since the original so not super familiar with how seasons work but I have the feeling that at lvl 20 I might as well just start with the new season.

2025.01.22 01:05 MattDLR 10 year player finally done with Hearthstone.
This is gonna come off as one of those pretentious reddit rants (cuz it is) but I just need to get this all off my chest.
I started playing Hearthstone during Goblins Vs Gnomes, in their first year. Now I'm gonna get flak cuz I didn't play the game the day it came out, and fair enough, but I still got to enjoy a lot of the best sets the game had to offer. Hell, I was *excited* for some sets. I remember Un'goro being one of sets I was most hyped for, even if it turned out kinda mid, just cuz I liked the theming.
But, of course, things went downhill. I stopped playing for a stretch during Ul'dum when Blizzard censored the free HK guy. Then I stopped paying for the game altogether. I remember my last two purchases for the game were when I preordered Madness at the Darkmoon Faire, and when I stupidly ordered the Diamond C'thun skin (I'm a sucker for old gods, I admit it.) Other than those, I haven't spent a *dime* on this stupid megacorp-run clown show for roughly 4 years now.
My faith in this game has absolutely cratered over the last 2 years especially (last year's problems in particular being summed up nicely in this post: https://www.reddit.com/hearthstone/comments/1hs75jq/a_summary_of_why_2024_was_the_worst_year_in/ However, I kept playing, kept logging in and grinding each month. Still, it increasingly felt like a job, but I managed to find some enjoyment in it, however less and less it may be. Still, it kept piling up. I felt trapped, under the 10 years of playing this game, I couldn't just quit... sunk cost and sunk time fallacies had me shackled down.
And of all things... it was a murloc in the power armor that broke the camel's back.
I can't lie to myself anymore. This game's been going downhill for years. I can't just sit there like a frog in hot water, spending countless hours on this absolute trash heap. It's taken 10 years of my life I'll never get back, and I'm not planning on letting it take another 10. Roast me all you want, I feel so much lighter now that I can finally uninstall this game and free up the space for actually fun media. Let them rotate the sets, let them send all my cards to the hellscape that is Wild mode, let 'em shut down the servers - I don't care. I'm done.
I've seen the same thing happening in Magic: The Gathering, and I see it now here - cross promotion, crossovers, absolute corporate slop. Auctioning off card art to the highest bidder to see who gets to promote their product next. And while it may be in-company now, in another year or two, we'll be having Darth Vader, Optimus Prime, and my little pony slapped on every mini-set, if not every set. On top of the abysmal balance, ludicrous power creep, and absolutely abhorrent game design choices... yeah, I'm getting out while the getting's good. I'm taking my nontangible collection and I'm jumping ship.
Everyone who's still here, It's been real. I hope y'all follow my lead and jump out too, or at the very least manage to find some enjoyment in this absolute dumpster fire. But I'm out. Thanks for the memories.

Hi Animation Reddit! My friend and I just applied to the Television Academy Foundation Animation Production Internship, which required a storyboard video submission. As clicking the "Upload" button in this section, I realize the upload button is not functioning and refuses to upload any video file. Of any length, storage, etc. I had to write a little note in another section and link it there.
Did anyone else have this issue? What would you usually do in a situation like this? Was it a technical glitch? We were close to the deadline so maybe there were a lot of people on the site, lol. Thanks guys!
