Let me start by saying I have never posted on Reddit and had to today because I want to share a thank you to every single post on this community. It’s been my lifeline as I prepared, including as I lay in recovery. This helped me so much with prep and knowing what to expect!! So much gratitude for this community and all of us making this choice to put ourselves at the top of the list.
I am currently in recovery and let me tell you, MR is by far the most painful part. Even after reading all I’ve seen on here, I am still surprised by the level of pain and I have a high pain tolerance. My lesson here is DO NOT let meds wear off.
Excited to continue the journey and hopeful for better days ahead!

It's tragic, but I think I understand his motivation. I am Indian-American, my two parents had moved here in the early 2000s, stayed here for a few years to understand the country I'd be born in and then gave birth to me on their HIB visas. Their motivation was to give me the best life possible without cheating the system, without hurting the hundreds of thousands of Americans in the US today. Today unemployment is awful, prices are soaring, and the question obviously stands as hundreds of thousands of more illegal immigrants come: who's going to be getting the help and resources. The Indian life is not fair. There is terrible religious prejudice and lack of sanitation and other things so people discard everything, sell everything just to go Dunki and hope for something better. This better, however, is earned through taxes and American hard work. This is my take as a long liberal and humanitarian but more importantly an American. I see people suffering around me, I see how unaffordable housing has become, and as much as I dislike Trump, his stance on this issue is firm and sends a clear message, a message that got him voted in office: America first. To me, this shouldnt be an always America first, but today America needs priority.

2024 GTI. When it’s cold, my heated steering wheel kicks on. I also hit max defrost. After about 5 minutes, my SOS goes crazy and starts calling SOS over and over again, with me repeatedly hitting cancel. I can hear haptic clicking over and over again during this. In addition to this, the radio, or my Bluetooth connection, seems to be full of static in the audio. I’m not getting any errors for travel assist or SOS, just the actual craziness of it calling over and over again. The only way I can seem to solve it is by turning the car off completely, then starting it again. Resetting the infotainment system does nothing. The only work I’ve had done to it is a windshield replacement at the dealer (sourced out for sure). I would suspect condensation or ice melting, but I have zero problems in or after a hard rain. Curious if anyone else is experiencing this.

Currently I have accounts with Sony and MUFJ. My mortgage is with Sony so I have to keep that account, but recently I’ve been considering leaving MUFJ (problems with their service… the other day I hit a snag with having to make a large home-related payment, they blocked it regardless of my preparation in the account settings and executing security protocols accurately, then their service was very hard to get in order to sort out the issue).
Anyhow, I’ve considered just living everything to Sony, but - as I’ve had experience being on hold for long periods with their customer service section as well - I thought it would be more ideal to go with a bank that actually has locations and in-person service, preferably with more reasonable wait times and more interaction with actual humans. Does any such bank exist here? I’m in the Kanagawa area.
