Sorry no this isn't what it sounds like, not self harm, well not physical harm Let me explain, I keep falling for people and getting hurt, like they ghost me (which destroys me) or it just dosnt end well (which somehow hurts less) but how do I stop ruining relationships Also my mom thinks I may have schizophania, but like I don't know, I do think a sign of that is the trouble of holding relationships but I have no idea, but im also pretty sure I have schizophrenia but who knows (I should get checked out) But I do think getting hurt emotionally hurts my mental state a lot and ruins my self image, and it also is worse than physical harm

As the title reads my friend (from the uk) started a job the start of this year as a music teacher and just wants to up and leave. No notice given just disappear into the Japanese wilderness.
He’s got £100,000 in savings and wants to spend the year exploring Japan. Will he lose his right to stay in Japan if he just leaves his job? Is there anything he has to do as his residency is for a year and so is his work visa.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

2025.01.22 04:26 OnRepeat780 At my wits end- could this be a symptom of my diagnosed HH?
I am trying to figure out what’s wrong with me, I’m being told there are “numerous factors” into what’s happening but I’d like to compare notes.
I’ve had a “small” hiatal hernia that was diagnosed years ago. I have a history of lap band surgery. I had it removed 10/2023.
On Thanksgiving after eating a lot, I had an episode where I was waking up with my heart racing, hot and breathless. I then was wheezing on and off and was on prednisone. Wheezing resolved.
On 12/18 after another large party and eating a lot, I had another big big episode of shortness of breath and took myself to the ER. Diagnosis- asthma (air trapping in lungs).
Since then, I’ve done a sleep study and have “mild” sleep apnea and will be on an apap.
I have a history of GERD, especially from lap band years.
I am having shortness of breath mostly at night when I lay down. Anytime I eat food, I feel like it affects my breathing. I have lost 23 lbs since 12/18.
I’m on inhalers and they’re kind of working but not totally. What seems to help most is Pepcid AC and the antihistamine nasal spray. I’m also on Prilosec and have been since approx 2022.
I have a GI doc appt tomorrow to discuss my HH and NALFD. I also have a consult on Friday with the surgeon who performed my bariatric surgery.
Does this sound like it could be my HH? I feel better when I move my belly certain ways and have been told my lungs are “restricted.” I do feel like something is pushing on my diaphragm and the air trapping is a sign my lungs are not deflating all the way. I do not appear to have an issue breathing in.
Any advice or things to think about before my GI and surgeon consult would be appreciated. Is there imaging that can tell if my HH is pushing on my lungs?

For those who don't know, EPIC is a musical rendition of the Odyssey written by Jorge Rivera-Herrans with some anime and video game inspirations.
I like the source material itself even though it's not entirely myth accurate, but I personally think if someone lets myth accuracy obscure their ability to enjoy myth-inspired media, that's kind of...dumb.
Anyways, it's either a super vocal minority or majority of that fandom that takes the fandom thing too far. I know that the gods and heroes and all that seem like just characters to them, but if they're older than, like, 10 they should know that people actually worship these gods, yet my feed is bombarded with "Poseidon designs I'd let drown me," "smash or pass Greek gods," and that one infamous comment I saw awhile ago asking if Athena would....do unspeakable acts, and then they doubled down after being told she was a virgin goddess.
There's also an artist, Anniflamma, who drew not only a "manwhore" AU of Odysseus, Zeus, and Poseidon, but also made immodest artwork of Poseidon.
I know since it bothers me, it must bother a ton of others in the middle spot of the venn diagram between Hellenic Polytheists and EPIC: the Musical fans, so I'd like to lurk y'all out of the shadows to share your opinions.

So my aunt was the crazy old cat lady out by old Tucson. I've been lurking the sub dreading this post. She passed away last night and left behind 25 to 35 cats that are all variety of indoor, outdoor, feral and peopled. People would abandon cats out by her property hoping they would dissappear. Pema county is gonna help for a little but I'm hoping that by posting here maybe I can get more. My dad and other aunt are flying out there tomorrow to start to take care of affairs.
