I love Canelle et Vanille and the Loopy Whisk for breads, crackers, etc, but I find both Aran and Kat put wayyy to much sugar in their cake recipes. Like I made a coconut cake from Bakes Simple that had 300g of sugar in it PLUS buttercream and miso caramel and it's barely edible.
My go-to is La Tartine Gourmande by Beatrice Peltre. Does anyone have any recommendations for authors or recipes that use less sugar?

Can anyone give me a insight I wanna arrive there in march with no experience just a STCW eng and powerboat. Realistically hostels in Antibes look crazy expensive and I’m probably gonna go months without any work is it even worth it I’m fucking keen as fuck but from a economical point it just seems stupid and a luck of draw meeting that one person that brings you onto his boat. I’m not trying to come across negative but if I’m potentially gonna front up 10-15k to do this i kinda wanna know if it’s a luck of draw or pretty possibly to land a job first year.

As the great plague raged throughout Arda, the Black Wizard gradually began to reveal himself to the people of Harad. He had worked tirelessly aiding the desperate, downtrodden, and impoverished whom he held most dear. It had been a little more than a century since his arrival and the Haradrim were unsure of his nature, for like his master Mandos, Durestel was grim and stern in his character. Everywhere the wizard roamed however, great peace was felt as he healed those afflicted and instilled hope in the hopeless. As such, the common folk began to see that this foreigner shroud in black was no shadow but a vessel of goodwill and great power.
As he continued in his toil, word reached the wizard that the Hattari Confederation of Near Harad was wrought with unrest. Durestel braved the deserts of Nurz Dil and made his way to the outskirts of the Hattari City-States. The nation still teemed with the plague but it was not the cause of the unrest. As he entered the wetlands surrounding the confederation's cities, the stench of death filled the wizard's nostrils. The wetlands were putrid, the water brewing with rot and rank; a dire situation, as the lifeblood of Hattar was its wetlands. Though the land was spoilt, the night sky was ever-bright with the light of the stars shining upon the wizard's face.
Durestel looked towards the heavens, closed his eyes, and spoke words of power in Quenya. The stone atop his ashwood staff began to resonate and the pollution of the water slowly dissipated. As clear water overcame rot, the wind shifted and foul air pounded upon the wizard. After a moment of still silence, water rampantly re-polluted and rushed towards Durestel. Something was challenging the wizard's strength but the will of Durestel the Black was too great. He bested the contending force and completed his task of purifying the waters of Hattar. The wizard was not done however. While the plague was of this world, Durestel knew that the decay of the wetlands was not…

I downloaded the 8.3 ve iso from the website and flashed it onto me fat32 formatted usb drive. I plugged it into my old pc (with brand new swapped hdd and ssd) and it boots to the initial prox mox screen where you can select how you want to do the setup (GUI or CLI). It gets up to step "Loading Driver", then flashes black real quick then sits on that step forever. Not sure whats wrong and cant find anything online similar to this issue.
