Recently ordered a set of Dingwall strings ready for recording in a few weeks time. I’m itching to put them on but obviously want them to sound fresh on recording day.
Should I be putting them on, the day my band I record or can I put them on a week - 2 weeks prior and still keep that fresh string tone?

2025.01.22 05:14 madstar What to expect at Vancouver Service Canada Centre - Passport Services?
I haven't dealt with Passport Services in seven years, but I need a passport for each of my kids within the next two mo's. None of the local Service Canada Centres are currently accepting appointments, they're all booked up.
Should I go to the Surrey, Richmond or Vancouver centre? Any idea how long I'd be waiting if I'm there first thing in the morning?

I just can’t get it out of my head… I have been in my new work for a few weeks now. When I got hired my offer said: xxx manager, my contracts and agreements xxx manager, all files and apps and all - manager-. I was so happy. I have 2 bachelors, a doctorate, speak 3 languages, been working on the industry 10 years, so it made sense that EVEN THOUGH my interview was for a role or 2 below that, I had that offer. I have had this happen before: being offered a better role than the one I am applying for, so it was not out of the realm of possibility. Well, 4 days into my new job my manager and I are speaking about branding and I ask him if he could approve a presentation I made; it was a presentation about me for my colleagues, it’s a networking activity. Then shit hit the fan.
He returns the presentation and there is a single correction. My job title. I am going to repeat myself: contract, offer, accounts, all said manager. If I hovered over my name or went to my work profile it listed me as manager. And as this is a new section of the division and I was the first hired, thus, no people to supervise or introduce me as manager yet. So the job title he corrected said: project analyst… what? Yeah. What? Yeah. So… then he explains me that this fortune company, that has different business groups as any big company has, listed me as manager because my payment is on that level but that the group-> division -> department hired me as an analyst, so that it’s my real job and the other one (manager) is just something for the main corporate office and HR. That my salary is the same as agreed.
Now…. I had no interest in being an analyst, not even with a better salary, I was aiming for a better role because I want to progress in my professional career and, although welcomed, I don’t need the money right now, but will in the future and I am laying the path to have economic security then… or so I thought as I accepted a MANAGER POSITION. I rejected other offers for this one.
