Hi! I'm just curious how it's been both in finding a job and in working as a UXR! I'm currently an early/mid career UXR (4-5 years of exp), and sometimes feel a little self-conscious that I don't have a grad degree. I'm also seeing most job postings asking for a higher degree -- as someone who is entering the market soon (contract role ending), I'm debating if I should take some time off to "properly" learn HCI (my undergrad was in biology).

Just want to ask how was the experience and satisfied ba kayo sa service and wedding gown pati overall fit sainyo? I was looking through facebook marketplace and found an RTX 4080 for really cheap and decided to get it. (was waiting for the 5000 series but felt alittle underwhelming)
I have a ryzen 7 5700x cpu and now a RTX 4080, did a clean wipe of the nvidea drivers and downloaded the most up to date driver as well. I was playing some games to test like warthunder and helldivers 2 and felt the 4080 was slightly underperforming. Both games ran at around 110- 130 fps at 1440p.I ran a Cinebench and got a score around 25500. Is that around the performance to expect from the 4080?

Recently ordered camera sa shopee, pag dating sa akin, walang laman yung box. Reported it sa seller, sabi send na lang daw ako request ng refund sa shopee. Tinawagan ko yung rider pero di sumasagot. Timeline is dapat yesterday, may update na sila, pero walang update. Naawa na ko sa mga support na kinukulit ko since kailangan ko ng assurance na babalik yung pera para makapag order na ulit ng bago kasi kailangan ko na pero puro sila, iuupdate daw ako ng team na naghahandle ng investigation pero wala naman update. Should I report it na sa DTI?

This prospective miracle is two-fold and requires some background, so here goes it. My grandmother went to mass and prayed the rosary every day. But, for some reason, she was petrified of dying. My whole family was aware of her phobia of the grave. Although her fear didn't consume her, she shuttered at the prospect of pushing up daisies whenever the thought crossed her mind.
When she was in her late 80s, she had a major heart attack. Despite her old age and co-morbidities, she survived. While recovering, she revealed to my mother (her daughter) that, as she was having the heart attack, she was still terrified of death. My family was confused. She was a devout Catholic and thus a firm believer in the afterlife; she had lost loved ones who meant the world to her (husband, son, sister, etc.); and she was a uniquely good person. Still, no words could assuage her fears.
A year after her heart attack, I was in my backyard with grandmother and my cousin. My cousin (who didn't know about my grandmother's fear) brought up her own fear of death and asked us if we were scared too. I nodded side to side. Then, remarkably, my grandmother said she was not afraid either. I was amazed and grateful, but never acknowledged her sudden 180 because I didn't want to embarrass her in front of my cousin. After dinner that night, I dropped my grandmother home and told her I would see her tomorrow. She passed away in her sleep.
The day she died, my family gathered together at her house. We cried, looked through photos, told stories, and began to make funeral arrangements. As we were all there, my sister saw my grandmother's calendar. It was a graphic calendar that displayed a cute drawing for each day accompanied by an inspiring quote. When she flipped the calendar, the quote said, "Everything you've ever wanted is on the other side of fear." The drawing below the words depicted a scared girl who was nervous to cross a rickety bridge. But there was a beautiful, rose-filled garden on the other side of the bridge. We were all blown away and felt a tremendous sense of peace.
Now, a year later, my family bought the same calendar for 2025 (they make new calendars with unique drawings/quotes each year). This January was significant for us because it would've been my grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary. When we turned the calendar to the day of their wedding anniversary, there was a drawing of a happy couple that looked identical to my grandparents. Everything about the drawing was uncanny. My grandmother had short red hair and so did the bride. It looked as if the sketch artist based the drawing off my grandparents' wedding photos. And the quote said, "Happy marriages begin when we marry the ones we love, and they blossom when we love the ones we marry." Again, this little calendar managed to fill my whole family with joy and peace.
The odds that this was all a coincidence seems vanishingly small. I wanted to share to see what everyone thought--and just because it is a happy story.

Hi everyone, I’m in my last semester in high school and have absolutely no plan for my future. I don’t want to be stuck in a forever 9-5 but I think if I loved my job it wouldn’t feel like work. I love nature and being outside and I think I want a career where I’m not in an office or a shop the entire time. For the past 4 year I was sure that I’d be a mechanic and welder. I’ve had an entree job doing sort of that and I’ve relived I can’t do this with my life. I see my co-workers who have worked as mechanics most there life and they seem miserable. I’ve looked into nature conservation and science but I see there is so much competition and inconsistency with jobs. Idk if seasonal jobs would fit me and I think it would stress me out not knowing what I’ll do the rest of the year. I want to be able to enjoy my life and live it to the fullest. I wish I could disappear for a couple years and explore the world but then what would I do after that. I don’t want to get a degree and find out I’ve wasted thousands of dollars and years of my life. If somebody has experienced this problem I would be forever grateful if you’d share some wisdom and help me get my life figured out.

I've been renting a flat in London for the past 4 years and I never had an issue with insects, until in September of 2024 I started noticing small bugs, which turned out to be bed bugs The landlord treated my room, and it reduced the quantity of them, however they started coming back soon I did buy some treatment like the bedbug killer and smoke treatment, I'm just so desperate I'm supossed to stay in this flat for another year, but I cannot deal with this anymore

Hey everyone, I really hope to get into Harvard! I’ve had an interview with them, and I applied to six Ivy League schools: Columbia, Brown, Cornell, Princeton, Harvard, and UPenn. My prediction is that I’ll get into at least one of them.
For me, getting into an Ivy is less about prestige and more about the opportunity to go away from home. My parents are very traditional and overprotective, especially because I’m a girl. I want the freedom that attending a school out of state would give me, and if I get into at least one Ivy, I’ll go for free since my parents make less than $60k a year.
Before, I thought Harvard and Brown might reject me because my SAT scores aren’t the best, and they’re the only two Ivies that require SAT scores. The other four schools don’t ask for them. I don’t think I’ll get into Columbia because my essay was rushed and I didn’t elaborate much on my extracurriculars. But I’m hopeful I may get into Cornell, Princeton, or UPenn because my personal essay is strong, and my extracurriculars are impressive. I have a 4.05 GPA with 6 AP classes and one college-level class.
If I don’t get into any of the Ivies, no worries—I got into Baruch, and I might go there. I’m also waiting to hear back from NYU, and if I get in and stay in a dorm, I’ll receive a full scholarship.
